I am absolutely obsessed! This lamp is so out of the ordinary, perfectly sized and a great conversation piece. I used a Wi-Fi enabled color changing light to give it even more "WOW" factor and it brings it to a whole other level! I didn't tell my husband that I bought it and I kept it put away until we repainted the room. Then I went in and hung it myself. He likes everything very minimal and monotone. Once he got over the initial surprise of it, he now gets the humor in it. I put it in our guest room and so far everyone who has seen it absolutely loves it! Their response is so worth it! It's always first shock and confusion then followed by a laugh and how much they never would have. Thought something like that would look good in a space but it works!! I have a fun piece of artwork that I purchased that I haven't been able to hang yet that he will highlight. My one suggestion to the manufacturer or to the buyer would be to use gold screws to attach it to the wall. Unfortunately, he came with generic silver screws. So I will either change them out to gold or I'll just cover them with gold paint. The one thing my husband did ask me to do was find a small lamp shade because he didn't like the bulb exposed the way that it is. So I am currently shopping for that. I jokingly told him that I was going to find one of the small Fez monkey hats to use as a lampshade 😂 I'm not sure if he felt that would make it better or not. But it definitely would make it cuter! I purchased it from this vendor because I originally saw it somewhere else for much more money and I just couldn't bring myself to pay that amount for something. I just wasn't sure would work. But after a little bit of shopping, I was very happy to find it for the price that I did and I felt that was more reasonable rate than some of the other shops and vendors that offer it. So if you're wondering if it's too out there, it's not! It's very easy to hang and I genuinely cannot recommend it enough!

The first monkey lamp I ordered came in broken and the seller sent a new on right away with reinforced packaging. We are very pleased with it! I would have liked an option for a longer cord but we will make it work!
