I bought this on impulse because of the low price and how compact it is. Originally I put it on my keychain, but I ended up taking it off because it weighed them down a little more than I wanted. This is small enough to fit in a woman's pocket, and small enough to be forgotten about in a man's pocket, which I think is a good thing. However, since its small size already limits what you can do with it, you may want to just go all the way and get the even smaller version, but keep in mind that this should be for very light duty. I carry a "main" knife (pictured Kershaw Cryo G-10 (1555G10) ) that I trust more than this little one. That makes me beg the question of what the point of this knife is beside a backup. I just ordered the Gerber EAB [22-41830 ] because it is similarly compact but actually has replaceable razor blades. This could be nice for when I need something sharper than a typical knife or when I don't want to worry about harming the blade of my main knife. Now, about the quality of the knife itself. I would rate it as pretty high. The lock-open has a very affirmative and solid snap into place, and you know it is locked and won't accidentally come unlocked until you unlock it. It does not lock closed, but it has a spring-back function that holds it closed until it is opened past about 30 degrees. This has never accidentally come open. With the blade extended there is no horizontal play that you can "wiggle" while it is open. That is great because most cheap knives suffer from that. The black finish does wear and polish off to a dull grey, but, well, who cares? Ultimately, I think you need to know what you are looking for in this knife. It's not that it is a bad knife, it's just not providing me with much as a secondary knife. I did not dock any stars because this is not a flaw in the product, it's just not something that useful to me. This would be a great knife to throw in a tackle box or a glove compartment to have handy or a great women's pocket knife for the reason I mentioned about the pockets.

This knife or pretty much exactly what I wanted. It's got a cool design and is compact enough I can keep it on my keychain. It's sharp and sturdy. Biggest issue I have is that it doesn't lock closed, only locks when open.

Sharp and small blade that is very useful when you need it most. Easy to carry in your pocket or keychain. Great price, looks good, and very easy to open.

I keep a knife on my keychain that mostly gets used for opening boxes and this is the perfect size without being too bulky in your pocket. I can't speak to durability yet, but my last SOG keychain knife (different model) lasted for several years, so I'm hopeful this one will as well. It seems to hold an edge well since I have yet to have to sharpen it. All in all it's a good knife to keep in your pocket and I'd purchase it again.

I have the little Gerber, too — the one that's the same size. I like the Gerber, but it has a liner lock, and on such a small knife it's hard to work. This SOG has a frame lock, which is better on this little knife. I've had both (and I got the smaller SOG, too) for a few years now. Over all, the SOG is the best. I used to carry an EDC that had a 3" blade, but even that got to be too much for my needs. This little folder is just right, it does everything I need it to. And if I ever need a bigger blade, I keep one in my car. But so far, this has been enough for everything. They're about the same price. Go with the SOG.
