Solid Battery life, I use the machine sparingly but you will not feel battery drain issues in general. While the $549 price tag may seem little steep, the value it offers in terms of performance, display quality, and productivity features justifies the investment. Compared to other FE tabs with LCD screens, the Tab S8+ undoubtedly stands out with its superior display technology. Great tablet. Use it to help me study and watch movies. All around amazing features especially the extra screen i can switch it too for my desktop. Great speaker too. Battery is phenomenal but dont let it get too low it will take a while to boot all the way up.

I decided to take advantage of Verizon promotion that provided a free Tab S9 FE 5G with my phone upgrade. I had historically used an iPad because my work email was only available on in Apple ecosystem. I no longer have that constraint and everything else I use is Android based. I thought this was a good time to switch. I liked the smaller size of the S9 FE and read reviews that said it was a great choice for non-power users. That said, I immediately found it a huge step down from the iPad. Screen display was not great. Processing speed was slower. Biometrics were very rudimentary. Worse, many apps simple did not perform well. I bit the bullet and found the S8+ 5G at an attractive price on Amazon and received it yesterday. Everything is much better and competes well against the iPad. The S8+ does some things better. The iPad does some things better. That said, display and processing time is first rate. Processing speed is great. Unfortunately, I think the S9 FE had to cut too many items to get the price down. I think it is probably fine for a first time user, but if you've gotten used to a high quality tablet, you'll be disappointed with S9 FE. Tab S8+ is $300 less than comparable S9+. S9+ seems to be an improvement, but I decided S8+ economics made more sense for me. So far, I think I will be very happy with it. I've not had long enough to get a sense of battery life, but I'm always near a charger so I'm not that worried. Lastly, lots of aftermarket accessories for S8+ vs S9 FE which is also a big advantage. If you like Android and want a great display and fast processing speed, you'll be very happy with S8+.

I love my Galaxy Tab S8+ 12.4” 128GB WiFi 6E Android Tablet. It is perfect in every way (almost). The screen clarity is amazing. I teach guitar lessons and I also lead worship occasionally at my church. I use the Galaxy Tab S8+ 12.4” on a music stand that has a tablet holder to display my music for leading worship, and also for teaching lessons. The clarity and brightness of the screen make seeing a page of music WAY easier than playing from a printed music score or music book. Plus, the size of the tablet optimizes a large screen (12.4") in a relatively compact tablet. With the long battery life, I don't have to worry about my battery going dead in the middle of a session. That is so nice. Here is one thing that I don't love so much: I cannot get the Galaxy Tab S8+ to recognize my face, so I have to enter my passcode every time. That is annoying. I'm confident that it is probably "user error," but still.... My phone recognizes my face; why can't my tablet recognize my face? If you are looking for a large tablet screen, with enough screen brightness and clarity to be able to read and play music, then the Galaxy Tab S8+ 12.4” is for you.

I purchased this tablet because I thought having a big screen tablet would be cool and the specs of this tablet were beyond awesome. However, I am in the middle of returning it and I'll tell you why. Don't let the fact I'm returning it steer you away from considering this tablet. For most, this tablet may be perfect except for people like me that had the negative issues mentioned down below. First of all the pros: - During the few days I had this, I used it a lot like a laptop. I had a Bluetooth keyboard and a Fintiecase with it that stood it up. I also had a Bluetooth mouse that worked right away when connected. There is an option called "Dex" that loads a desktop environment which makes the tablet seem very much like a PC, and it did it well. - Performance was as expected for the most part with a few hiccups *see cons below*. It was snappy, fluid, and responsive. - The high point is the screen. The screen is beautiful. The Colors Pop. The sharpness is outstanding. - Sound is awesome as well. Does better than most laptops I have ever used. - the 12-inch screen is huge, and with the high definition this screen has, can fit quite a bit on the screen if you choose to. Using apps side by side was really awarding. - For a tablet, the camera was really impressive. Cons - Weight. Using it in landscape orientation isn't too bad. However, if you play some games that only work in Portrait orientation, holding the tablet does start to give you hand fatigue, in my case in as little as a few minutes. So if you are a reader and want to hold it like a book vertically, you stand a chance of discomfort trying to hold it in portrait mode. - While the snapdragon chip that is included in this tablet should be more than enough to do most tasks, the few programs I used that streamed games and or shows seem to always have a micro stutter, and I spent most of the time having this trying to fix the problem and find out which of Samsungs programs are bogging the tablet down. I never found it out. Hence why I returned it. If you are going to use it like a laptop with a keyboard, this is an awesome solution. However, if you plan on using it in your hands a lot.. well with big size comes the loss of some portability. The tablet is pretty heavy. If you don't mind that, then the tablet will be perfect for you. However, the Regular Galaxy tab S8 will be more than enough for those that want the portability and lightness of a tablet, despite the unfortunate decision of Samsung to leave out the Amoled screen. Also, Samsung has given their word that these tablets in the S8 will have updates for 5 years, and a soon-to-come update will focus on making android, even more, tablet friendly. To summarize: If you want to stream games (Moonlight, Steam Link, Playstation Remote play) to this tablet, it didn't seem to work well, despite an old laptop of mine doing it just fine. If you do this, don't get this tablet. There is a possibility that a future update may fix this. If you want something light and easy to carry... don't get the S8 plus or S8 ultimate, stick with the regular S8. The S8 plus was heavy and not as portable as other smaller tablets. If either of these issues doesn't apply to you, then the S8 Plus is an amazing tablet. But overall, if you don't mind the slightly lighter blacks of an IPS screen and just over an inch of a smaller screen, stick with the S8 and save yourself some money.

I use a tablet everyday for work ( and play). If you are an android fan, there's not much to dislike about this tablet. This is my third Samsung tablet in the Tab S line. This replaced a Tab S4 that still works perfect. I like the bigger size, but is really tall for vertical viewing. I would have liked a more square design. It's wider than it is tall when held in landscape. It came with S pen included. S pen can control pretty much everything and works fast and smooth. It magnetically attaches and charges on the back of the tablet. Got a great deal on A Prime Day, so I jumped on it. Tab S9 is due to come out this year, but this Tab S8+ will have all the good stuff and 4 more years of Samsung updates/support at a much lower cost. Battery life could be better. That's the biggest con so far. Not a deal breaker.. Overall, Great deal, Great tablet.

Almost identical to the S9+ with the only difference being a weaker processor. However if you aren't an avid gamer you will never feel the difference, well your wallet will feel much heavier
