A unique gift. The working gal I gave it to just enjoys heck out of it when she makes her soups, etc. on the wk.ends & freezes to pull out on work days. This gizmo cools the pot's brew more quickly, thus economizing on her start to finish time for that job. I'll give for another gift!!

Great cool paddle for dropping the temperature of soups. Have only used San Jamar cooling paddles.

A handy item
The only thing I don’t like about this item is around the connection area is open so what ever you set it in to cool if it comes up to the very top food can get stuck in it. But it is easy to clean and handles a lot of beating since there’s no perfect home for it in my freezer.

Works great!
I make a lot of different kinds of stocks and soups in large (several gallon) quantities. It has always been difficult to rapidly cool them down so that I can either can or freeze them in serving sized containers. Not anymore! This cold paddle makes short work of cooling the liquids down. In fact, I plan on buying another one so that I always have one ready in the freezer!
