Cinelli Cork Ribbon Bicycle Handlebar Tape in Multiple Colors

Great bar tape. Comfy, easy to install, looks and feels great.

I didn’t see too many examples of the macro splash red/black pattern so I wanted to show mine off. This was my first wrap and it was pretty easy. It’s forgiving too if you need to go back and rewrap a section you’re not satisfied with. It has a nice feel compared to the rubbery tape that came on my new Trek. The color and pattern look pretty cool on my red bike with black bars.

My favorite bar tape. Easy to wrap and can be unwrapped if you mess up. Nice thickness and very comfortable. May not look as modern or fancy as others but those you usually cannot undo. I’m no pro so I like being able to undo a portion if it doesn’t look right. The other synthetic leather and foam tapes will rip, if unwrapped. I use this on my road and gravel bike. Great tape at a great price.

This tape was easy to apply thanks to good stretch, tensile strength, and adhesive, and provides a comfortable grip. I haven’t yet ridden in soaking rain to test the grip there, but it feels secure in normal use. Padding is moderate, what I would expect for a non-gel tape. No complaints based on ordinary use. The only drawback I encountered was when removing and re-applying to correct some slop in my initial wrapping. The adhesive comes away from the bar without problems while still remaining sticky, but tended to tear away strips where it had overlapped with tape on the curves. The ragged edges were covered when re-wrapping and it seems fine once back in place, but I don’t know that it would stand up to such treatment repeatedly. Not an issue of course if you get everything right on the first try, but not the most forgiving option for beginners or those out of practice. Overall I would probably rate 4.5 stars if allowed, but as is give it 4 since my ideal of a perfect 5-star tape would tolerate re-wrapping a little better. A solid choice for those confident of their taping skills.

I've used Cinelli cork tape for decades and am always pleased with it. It eases fatigue on long rides but allows for a solid feel of the road when pushing your limits. It may not be as durable as vinyl to abrasions, but it is definitely more breathable. The grip is phenomenal in wet weather, and you probably won't need any padding in the palms of your gloves. Hands down, a better material for endurance comfort than gel tape.

Easy to install and seems to last a long time. Even though they are white color, don't get very dirty and are easy to clean. The medium foam feels very comfy for long rides.

I've used this on my Surly Cross-Check for 13 years now, never had an issue. It's strong, durable, comfortable, and long enough for all standard type drop bars. Easy to wrap, and hasn't been affected by rain or snow.

Cinelli cork tape is the best bicycle bar tape available. It's easy to install, including peeling it off and re-applying when you don't get it quite right, and it comes off easy with no mess after years of use and it's reached the end of its useful life. This is in sharp contrast to other bar tapes that don't perform well, don't last long, and leave a mess of adhesive and plastic film when you remove them. Now, for the interesting part. I don't just use these for bicycle handle bars......we've found Cinelli cork tape to be a great baseball bat grip. It installs easy, comes off easy, absorbs a lot of vibration (as is designed being a bicycle bar grip), and one package of this cork tape provides grips for four bats. Order it in whatever color matches your bat or your desire.

Loved these! Radiant colour and looked amazing on my bike! I combined the tape with their yellow colour too and the combo was amazing. Lasted a long time, kept my hands comfortable, easy to apply and stayed put for the whole during of use. The tape quality was amazing. Would recommend.
