The output is somewhat low, and it is true Karaoke microphone, in the sense that you have to hold the mic very close to your mouth (or source of audio) for it to be picked up. I've tried this with Ahuja all-in-one amplified PA speaker, Ahuja mixer with level-compensation, Behringer audio capture device. However, it is usable for basic home recording and karaoke. Edited after few months: Ordered 2 more pieces. Noticed that printed MRP on box is Rs.455/-. I paid Rs.1150/- for 2 pieces (shipped). So, do not think that it is fair on part of Amazon or seller to write "FREE SHIPPING" when in fact, they are hiding the shipping amount in the total value. This is cheating.
