Works with my 1/2 inch sprinkler hoses
Now that trees and bushes have grown, occasionally I want to move a sprinkler head. Consequently, I purchased a 25-foot flexible hose to cut to various lengths as needed. To save a little money, I purchased a pack of coupling fittings that were of a brand I was not familiar with: Mistake as the couplings did not fit (slightly too big even though they claimed they worked with 1/2 inch hoses). These work very well.

Good barb fitting for 1/2" flexible pipe irrigation head applications
I have used flexible high density polyethylene (HDPE) tubing and fittings for irrigation sprinklers (i.e. not constant pressure) for over a year now. I haven't had any problems so far, and the connections don't seem to leak at initial installation. This connector should work for any 0.5" inside diameter flexible polyethylene pipe (funny pipe, EZ pipe, flex pipe, etc. made by Irritol, Rainbird, Orbit, Toro, and others). Caution: Most "half inch" drip line pipes are actually around 0.6" ID, so this connector will not work for most drip line applications. I base my 5 star review off of the quality of the product and the fact that I haven't had any problems. Once the flex pipe is on, I haven't been able to remove it without cutting it! I haven't had any of these fittings break, leak, or separate. However, I have used another brand that had a handle for the straight barb-fitting that did make it a little easier to install. This one is easy to use though. Just twist the pipe as you apply pressure. I noticed the orange store sells these now, and the price is identical to this online (I can't remember if there was a different price in stores). If you are doing a larger online order, I recommend finding better pricing at other online irrigation retailers. These are a great Prime add-on though. Overall, I think using flexible pipe, barb fittings, and street elbows for sprinkler heads is much better than practices that don't allow flexibility for ground movement, vehicles, people, and mowing equipment. This technique also allows more precise head placement, especially along walls, roads, and sidewalks. I use the 3/4" threaded fittings for Hunter rotor heads; you will probably want to get the elbow barb fittings as well. For spray heads, you will probably use the 1/2" threaded fittings. I attached a picture of one of my recent repairs using this item. It was a broken pipe on a flower bed zone that was recently converted to drip irrigation -- I used it as an opportunity to add in a pressure regulator and more flexibility in an area that has failed multiple times. The reviewed fitting is threaded into the bottom side of the black pressure regulator device.

Good Tee, some seepage
We bought a new house and the backyard sprinkler system was broken beyond repair. Even with professional help, I was unable to locate the sprinkler valves for the back yard. So instead I set out to research and install my own drip irrigation to automate the watering process, mostly because I am way too lazy to water my backyard every other day. I chose the rainbird family of products because of the positive reviews and the plethora of options. I chose drip emitters for the trees and shrubs in my yard. I chose 1/2 in tubing for the systems backbone. Then 1/4 in tubing to run out to the individual plants, flowers, trees, shrubs... There are two ways you can install them. You can install them straight into the 1/2 in tubing, like I did. The other way is to install a 1/4 in coupler into the 1/2 in tubing, then run a 1/4 tube to the plant. Then connect the drip emitter at that end. I chose this configuration because some people complain about the water pressure pushing the emitter off the end of the tubing. I used this Tee to bridge the 1/2 in tubing in two separate places. I have noticed some seepage on both Tees. I am a little disappointed in that, but it hasn't affected the overall performance of the drip irrigation system. + Great price. + Very easy to install them. Be sure to purchase and use the Rainbird special tool to flare the ends of the 1/2 in tubing before connecting it to this Tee. I personally dislike special tools, but they are only a couple bucks each. I saved a ton of money by doing this project myself ($250 total cost), so to me it was worth it to get the specialized tools. + Happy with the performance so far. - They seep, no matter what I do. Its ok because the system still perform great. I am satisfied with this Tee, but I do with they didn't seep. Ill update this review as necessary.

Does not work with 1/2 Inch Drip Irrigation
Should have read the user review. THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH 1/2 INCH DRIP IRRIGATION LINES. It's too small. It probably works with normal sprinkler and whatever that is 1/2", but does not work for "drip irrigation" lines.

This product has the number 17 stamped on it which I assume means it is 17mm or 0.66 inches. I bought this to replace the grey coupler in the picture which had 1/2 printed on it. Clearly they are different sizes. It’s all too confusing for me.

El producto indica claramente que es un paquete con diez piezas, al entregar te enteras que es solo una pieza, por favor arreglen la descripción y aclaren que es solo una pieza, además el precio es carísimo por solo una pieza.
