Great product
These ice packs work great over foil buffet pans/lay flat and stay cold for at least 24 hrs. Love them!

No more ice for the cooler for me.
I no longer buy ice for the cooler. These are COLD and using multiple packs and a good cooler, they last longer than is. Additionally, not ice-melt to deal with. Highly recommended. The only downside, is they take up a foot-print in my freezer, but that is where they live so they are always ready.

Works Great!
These work great. I used 2 large packs in my cheap hard sided Igloo cooler that I think is 30 quarts. I went on a trip Friday evening to Sunday evening. It kept my drinks cold all weekend in the hot car. Even had some slush in the drinks Saturday morning and a frozen orange. When I got home Sunday the top one was pretty much done. Cool but not frozen. The bottom one was still half frozen. I did also have 3 ice blocks under it to help with the coldness. So take that info into consideration.

For the people in the back.... These cannot be emptied when not in use.
So... I didn't realize these ice packs worked the way they do. I THOUGHT this was a reusable pouch that I could fill with water, freeze, use to keep items cold and then empty out the water and store flat until I needed it again. We were having a scheduled power outage and I thought ice would help keep the fridge cooler longer while the power was temporarily out. Since this is the second scheduled outage recently, I thought buying a pack I could store flat in a drawer would be ideal since freezer space is at a premium. I already have two hard plastic ice packs that take up room. The arrived the day of the outage, leaving me with not much time to fill up and freeze one. Worked great in tandem with the other plastic ice packs. Fridge stayed cool enough. We haven't noticed any spoilage of fridge contents. (This pack wouldn't stand up, so I actually placed one of the hard plastic packs in between two gallons of milk which I think was key.) Today, I go to empty out the pack, so I could store it flat. I squeeze out a little of the gel thinking it was just a frosty cork, and only then did I realize what was going on. I showed a friend the pack and asked how they thought it worked, and they too thought it was a water-in-water-out situation. I'm now thinking I ruined the pack. I didn't measure the water. I didn't release air bubbles. I didn't shake it. I didn't install the cork. Its a bit rounded with how I filled it. And didn't have the room to freeze it perfectly flat. I guess I know for the next two, should I ever use them. At this point, I'm hoping this thing can live outside my freezer and that it doesn't ruin the functionality of the gel because it takes up a lot of space and I don't need giant ice packs regularly. I wish I had ordered the smaller version as I'd get more use out of those for trips to the grocery store, etc. I don't even have room to freeze 3 of these things at once. So, don't "just add water" like I did. There's rules for this thing. Also, instructions say to freeze the packs 24-48 hours before use, so this isn't a last minute solution (like ice) either. I'll have to do a real test, but I'm not sure they performed better than the hard-plastic packs I already had. I prefer the usability (flat, standup, lay down) of those, but if these Cooler Shock bags do stay cooler longer, than thats obviously an important feature. Anyway, works great, I guess. I agree its less of a watery mess than 6lbs of ice and lasts longer, but its a solid, slick block. Unlike ice, you cant nest things into it, like cans or bottles. I imagine it would take longer than ice to cool any items that aren't already cold due to potentially limited contact. I see some people use these packs to keep the ice in their coolers cold, which is pretty funny. Oddly, that makes sense!

Excellent ice retention
I couldn't be more impressed. Before Memorial Day weekend at the lake, I took the time to properly prep my cooler by pre-chilling the cooler and loading it with cold drinks, ice and these ice packs. The performance was outstanding. After an entire holiday weekend of opening and closing the lid, sitting outside in warm weather, and keeping food and drinks cold for the family, the cooler still had plenty of ice remaining. The moment that really sold me came at the end of the weekend when I found one of the leftover Capri Suns frozen solid. That was several days after packing the cooler. You will get positive results if you're willing to prep the cooler correctly, use it as intended and use these ice packs! Excellent ice retention, exactly what I was hoping for when I bought it. Very impressed and highly recommended.

Good and affordable
Bought these ice packs because i was looking for something have duty that would last when we go on road trips or when we have parties around the house that way we wouldnt have to keep buying ice. The packs work great and when used with a good cooler they have kept things cold for multiple days without having to refreeze them. These were a fraction of the price of name brand ones and have been worth every penny.

Stayed ice frozen for 3-4 days
Bought these for a long road trip. 5 days to be exact. They say in our igloo ice chest and stayed frozen for about 3-4 days. Keeping our food chilled. It was way better than ice. I do recommend you follow the instructions closely. One of my bags is big and takes up space. Seals nicely. No leaks.

Keep Everything Cool for Hours
These large reusable ice packs are fantastic! They’re the perfect size for keeping a cooler cold for long periods. We’ve used them for camping trips, picnics, and beach days, and they’ve kept our drinks and food cold for hours—way longer than regular ice would. The packs are sturdy and durable, and they don’t leak, even after repeated use. They freeze quickly and fit nicely in the cooler, without taking up too much space. Plus, they’re much easier to deal with than melting ice, so there’s no mess to clean up. Overall, these ice packs are a great investment if you need to keep things cold for an extended period. They’re reliable, reusable, and definitely a must-have for anyone who uses coolers frequently!

Injury hazard on the sharp edges near the opening or spout
The cooler bag has a design flaw in that the edges close to the spout or opening are very sharp and a sharp edge cut my arl when I was carrying it. The cooling agent may be effective, but the overall product does not work well if it cannot be handled safely!

Long lasting, great for travelling with
On a recent trip, we needed to pack goat milk in our checked luggage for our 2 year old. I packed the milk with 3 Cooler Shock ice packs and hoped the milk would still be good when we got to our destination. We left at 5.30am and arrived around 3.30pm and the milk was still cool and in good condition. These Cooler packs were excellent, doing exactly what we had hoped they would!
