Side Lights for Cyclists. Amber, Bright, Rechargeable and Waterproof

A great light - amber is a good choice for side lighting, there are several choices of blinking or solid light, and it's nice to have a single light to take off that covers both sides at once (unlike the Blackburn Grid, say). The only small downside is micro-usb-a instead of usb-c, but that isn't a huge problem.

UPDATE of 11/29/22 I contacted the company and the OWNER answered my email. He welcomed my comments about charger cover and failure to charge (documented below). Sent me a brand new light, which I received today. Changed my rating to five stars because of the personal and kind attention by owner. Thanks, Aidan. ORIGINAL COMMENTS FOLLOW Like: Amber light is visible, although not brightly, it the daytime; gets attention if you're looking. Very bright at dusk or night. Very long battery life (a week's worth of rides, maybe 15 hours++). Solid construction. Can be charged (as from a power-pack) and operated at the same time, but long battery life probably makes this unnecessary. Dislike: The charge port cover failed (separated) the first time it was opened, thus negating any water resistance. The cover has no retention stub/knob at the attachment end that fits into the light body. I'm not ham-handed; the thing just fell out of its own accord, with no way to repair. UPDATE of 9/12/22 The light will not recharge now. As another reviewer has stated, you have to hold the USB terminal in place in order for the light to charge. Not gonna do that. Unsatisfactory. Because of these two failures (charge port cover and now the charge issue) I've changed my rating to one star from four. I leave one star because it did perform well for 9 months since I bought it.

I wanted something more than reflectors to let drivers know I was there when they came up on me from the side. This light does that perfectly. I am glad it is rechargeable. I like the different blinking/steady modes. I appreciate its ruggedness. (I haven't dropped it yet, but I think it would withstand any fall from bike height.) I also like the way it mounts - easy to install, easy to adjust, solid and secure while riding. It is also bright enough to be useful during the day. I would highly recommend this to a friend (if I had any that were bike riders). Update after 1 year: I still think this is a great light and it is working just fine, however, I deducted one star (5 ->4) because eventually the coating on the light (rubber of some sort?) started to break down and get sticky in warm weather. That is annoying. The stickiness is not bad (doesn't leave marks on my hands or on anything else) and when it is sitting on my bike, the stickiness doesn't make any difference. Just a minor complaint.

Man, what a great pulsating light (also has a static feature as well). The night rides have been even better knowing that people can see you now further out because of this very bright amber light (amber is gentle on the eyes compared to a true white, warm white or cool white light). I was able to attach this to an e-scooter which to me is highly important because they're already sort of dangerous and it's good to be well lit at night for others on foot, bike or car to see you. Product is well-made as good as you can get. It was nicely packed too and that's a huge plus for me! I will purchase more just to have in case, but so far so good and I'm very happy with this light.

If you ever ride in the evening hours, this is an essential safety tool that will exponentially increase your visibility to otherwise oblivious/negligent/distracted motor vehicle operators AND other cyclists. Installation is as easy as stretching a band around your bike frame. The unit is lightweight, low profile during the day, and the amber LEDs are extremely bright with projector/“fish eye” lenses on both sides. Holding down the single button for two seconds turns the unit on or off, and single presses cycle through three available strobe patterns and one mode for constant brightness. I am so happy I found this - lighting on the side is equally important, and this product most definitely fits the bill. Buy it now! You’ll be happy you did.

Very Well Built! This light is very sturdy, bit too the point that it adds noticeable weight to your bike (unless your competing) but you can tell that it is built to last! The amber, multiple adjustment flashing light is very visible, making me more visible. I should have purchased this when I first began riding almost three years ago! I highly recommend this USB rechargeable light!

This is a great product idea, but unfortunately the mount is not secure enough. The light has fallen off my bike twice in the week I've used it so far. I first had it mounted up front on the frame; due to the width of the unit it protrudes from both sides of the frame tubing. Taking off from a set of lights my leg rubbed against it lightly and it popped out in the middle of an intersection. After that incident I mounted it under the seat on the seat post. This time when I came down off a curb the jolt was enough to knock the light loose from the mount and it went rolling into the road. I'm going to discontinue using this until I can 3d print a new mount that is more secure; I really don't want to lose the light. Despite the mounting issues this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's a VERY bright double sided light that increases my visibility from the side. VERY wide angle dispersion of light. I've honestly never seen anything like it so far.

Fantastic! Due to my work hours the majority of my riding time falls at or after dusk. I have more than enough front and rear lighting, as well as reflective gear, but I often encounter distracted drivers at two and four-way stops. The only way that I can get their attention has been to turn my handlebars toward them and blind them with my headlights (when I am stopped) or to hope they see me (when I am moving through the intersection)... until now. On to the review: I ordered four lights for the family and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived on the earliest day listed in the range of dates for delivery. They had, in fact, shipped the day after I ordered them. Something I find refreshing since so many companies take what seems to be an unnecessarily long time to process orders. They all arrived in great shape too. My first impression is that they are well thought out and well built. For details on the operation I suggest you check out the company website but suffice it to say that they are easy to mount and work as advertised. I have not had a lot of time to ride with them so I can't yet report on their long term durability but I am quite certain that they will do very well. I wanted to see how a driver might react to them so I had my daughter ride through a nearby intersection in order to determine what a driver would experience. I was unable to distinguish her headlights from the ambient light as she passed through the intersection but the fact that she was there was made abundantly clear by the very bright amber light from the Brightside light. Success! As she continued away from me I could see the taillights clearly but I was also able to see the Brightside light as it reflected from cars and houses on both sides of the street. She then came back and turned toward me. While her presence was clear due to the headlights the Brightside lights were what caught my eye. They were the first lights that could be seen well as she approached and began her turn and were visible through the entire turn. Bottom line: The Brightside lights provided the most consistently visible warning that there was 'something' that needed attention. They were visible in one form or another whether coming toward me, moving away from me or crossing perpendicular to my line of sight. I plan to add to this review once I have had a few months with them but don't wait for that. My advice is to give the Brightside light a try If you ride at dusk or during the night and have to ride in areas with cars. David C. Thompson

Tempistica e servizio nella consegna ottimi Luce banale ma geniale perché sono gli unici ad aver pensato ad una luce arancione (quella che per legge identifica la parte laterale dei mezzi in strada) per bicicletta, funziona bene ed è molto visibile, se vogliamo fare i pignoli suggerirei di avere una modalità luce fissa con luminosità alta (come è adesso) ed una con luminosità bassa. Durata della batteria non ancora testata (la userò per molte più ore in inverno)

Lo que mas me gusta es que con un solo boton prendes ambos lados (esto ahora tiempo al tener que prender las demas luces. Los diferentes modos son interesantes y se adaptan a cualquier bicicleta.

Such a great idea

Lampan ger bra sidoljus utan att blända eller störa trafiken. Bilister ser en mycket tidigare och påkörningsrisken bör minska. Lampan har en solid konstruktion med kvalitetskänsla. Fästet funkar för en fet MTB ram. Återstår att se hur batteritiden är. Kanske blir det 5 stjärnor.
