Yes, I have done precisely this. The Mac Studio has larger vents at the bottom and so it will not look as flush / close to the hub as the Mac Mini, but the size is the same and I don't mind. Had no issues with it.

Which way do i insert sd & micro sd card into front of dock?

Mini SD is main face up and SD is main face down.

With this setup and an nvme ssd would it be ok to run applications from the new ssd or should they always be run from the home ssd?

I haven’t tried this. I use mine as the main storage location for files, photos etc., all my apps are on the home drive, which has plenty of space now having stored everything else on the Hagbis.

Does this fit the newly announced M2/M2 Pro mac minis, and would it still function the same and be compatible ?
