Sleep Innovations Classic Memory Foam Pillow, Standard Size, Head and Neck Alignment, Side, Stomach, and Back Sleepers, Medium Support

Pillows are very subjective, as we all have a different idea of what is comfortable. Keeping that in mind, my wife and I both found these to be the best memory foam pillows we tried, including a couple of different Tempurpedic styles. This is softer than any of those, and is somewhat smaller. That's good, because it fits in our Marimekko pillowcases perfecty. We found the older standard pillow size of 16" x 22-24" is not as easily found in pillows today - most are 20" x 25" (did people's heads get bigger?). The pillow is, in our opinion, good for stomach sleepers (partially me) and side sleepers (my wife). I also sleep on my back and found this pillow doesn't push my head forward, allowing better breathing and keeping my spine straighter. Anyone who has had a slipped disc should appreciate that. As others have said, this pillow is somewhat thinner. I find that to be a benefit, but for those of you that prefer big fluffy pillows, you should consider something else.

I have had this product for more than 2 years now. I travel very little so that means more than 700 nights of sleep on this little baby. I sleep like a dream. The product is just firm enough to provide adequate support for my noggin... while being soft enough that it will sink in a bit when i first put my head down for the night. After 24 months, I can say, there is NO deterioration of the material, no change in shape, no dents or areas of sagging. It's the same shape and the same density since day, er night, one. I recommend at up to $40. I paid about $32 for this. The king size is very long, two of these will go the distance on your king size bed, end to end. I really, really like this product. I bought two of these as well as two other Sleep Innovations types, all from Amazon and two of each of those also. I immediately noticed that all of them no longer had Sleep Innovations tags on them, rather Innocor tags. At first I didn't question this and proceeded to attempt to use all six but hated all of them, especially these. I then had Amazon initiate an email to the company. When I finally got a response with really no real answers as to why these Sleep Innovations pillows had failed to meet my expectations, I immediately noticed that the return email had come from "Innocor" (not Sleep Innovations), so I immediately asked the company why. After my having asked three different times in three separate emails, they finally told me they were now the new owner of Sleep Innovations which is precisely why so many reviewers complain that the pillow is so very different from their previous purchases of the past. Regardless, at least I finally had partial answers to my questions and concerns, so I returned these two but chose to keep the other four in hopes that they might eventually work out, which they never did no matter how many times I tried. These particular two were horribly thin yet heavy and just laid there like flat logs... just slabs of dense foam!!! This explains why so many other reviewers that had bought this same pilow in the past all found it to be nothing like it had originally been. I'm glad I snapped soon enough and returned these two at least and wish I had done the same with the other four. What a waste of money, but worse, a total waste of time ordering them, trying my best to make them work out, then finally repackaging them for return. I then immediately bought other brands and I've liked all of them. I certainly do not recommend this brand at all.

I like this pillow,I don't know if I can say love but I do like this pillow. I am a stomach/side sleeper and I simply can't really sleep on my back,not because of health reasons but because I just don't find it all that comfortable. The pillow is listed as being for stomach/side sleepers and that's what attracted me to this pillow to begin with. I did a bit of research after my other pillow (also purchased here on Amazon) started giving me neck aches/cramps. The research that I came up with is that stomach sleepers need a pillow that's closer to the mattress,in other words a pillow that's not all that high in terms of inches in height. The reason for this is because when you're sleeping on your stomach, your head and spine need to be aligned and if a pillow is too high up it's going to disrupt that alignment and the result will be neckaches,headaches etc.,definitely not a good thing to say the least. I can't say for sure if this pillow will work for you or not,everyone is different. However, I can say that I've slept on it for about 2 weeks or so now and my neck has been just fine. The pillow is a bit on the hard side but it's not all that hard,although I wish it was a tad bit softer then it actually is. It gives off a slight odor but nothing to be concerned about,I don't even smell the pillow at all at this point,so maybe that slight odor went away. Also the height of the pillow feels about just right and it actually does feel like your head and spine are in alignment,not just when you're sleeping on your stomach but when you're sleeping on your side as well. I may come back and revise the review,we'll see,right now though the pillow is pretty much what I was looking for,my other pillow was too soft and at the time I was sleeping on my side more,recently though I went back to sleeping on my stomach(because it's more comfortable for me) so I wanted a pillow that was geared more towards folks who sleep on their stomach and less on their side/back. As insofar this pillow is doing just that,so it seems to be pretty much what I was looking for and I'm pleased with my purchase. My only complaint would be that it's a tad bit on the hard side and could've been a slight bit softer then it is,other then that it seems to be a good pillow,worthy of a purchase in my humble opinion. I can't promise that it will work for you though since as I said everyone is different,so my advice is to do some research before you make your final decision. I purchased this pillow to use or if it did not suit my neck to use as a pillow sham since we just got a King size bed.I have an irritating condition called Torticollis which causes my neck to extra sensitive. I have been sleeping on a thicker WalMart memory foam pillow, not cuddly but very comforatble for my neck it is square and small but nontheless a good supporter of my neck. This pillow while being flatter than my previous memory foam pillow is just as supportive,longer and super cuddly. I did not have a single moment of the usual memory foam odor that is standard with these pillows (unless I'm just used to it ;-)). I definately recommend this pillow for neck support and comfort with the added extra cuddliness you may want from a pillow.

I was reluctant to buy this pillow. There were no reviews on it but owning another Sleep Innovations pillow, I had faith it would be a good choice. Plus, I noticed the stock would sell out then Amazon seemed to get more in. The other Sleep Innovation memory pillows that are sold on Amazon are the standard size and these are the only Queen and King that I know of. I think that is why they sell so many. I bought a Sleep Innovations Contour Memory Foam Pillow which is the most comfortable pillow I own. I also own a memory foam mattress. I love my contour pillow but even at standard size it is smaller than the standard size of regular pillows. After having it for a few months my 10 pound dog decided she like it too and was stealing it from me at night and I was waking up on nothing. I decided to find a bigger pillow for the both of us. I saw the Queen one here. It seemed like a fair price. When I received the pillow it came wrapped in plastic with a Sleep Innovations sticker on it. You could tell it was new. It was not compressed and shipped in a rather large box. Once I opened the bag I noticed the paperwork. There are two inserts, one to congratulate you and to let you know there might be an odor and to let it air out for 24 hours. The other has the 5 year limited warranty. I took pictures of both and they are in the photo gallery. I was so impressed with how soft the cover was. My other Sleep Innovations cover was velour, this is like a silky satin cover but without the cheap feel to it, it has a rich feel. I received the pillow early in the morning and decided to wash the cover so I did not smell the fumes, if there were any. (I did not smell anything that night nor the nights to follow). When I went to bed at night I was shocked at the comfort level as I leaned up against it to watch some TV in bed. I wanted to cry and smile, I was severely sleep deprived that night and it felt like heaven. The pillow is a generous size and lies nicely on my bed. I laid it flat when I fell asleep and slept well. The first night I did not sleep great but the second night, I guess after my head had adjusted to the pillow, I slept very well! I did not want to get up! If comparing it to the contour pillow, the contour pillow wins hands down for getting the best nights sleep and no heat coming from the pillow. I sleep so well with the contour pillow when it is not being occupied by my dog. This Queen pillow is very comfortable; however, it is rather flat. I sleep on my side/stomach and it does not offer much support. It claims to be 5 inches deep, deeper than the King size, that is not the case. I have a measuring tape next to it in the photo gallery to show you. Also, I can pinch the center of the pillow and feel my fingertips on the other side. It is not deep at all! I deducted one star for that. It also seems to get hot after a few hours of sleeping on it. I am a cold blooded person and never have had a pillow get too warm for me but this one I wake up to the heat of it. That might pose a problem for some. All in all it is a great pillow; it is now my second favorite one in the house. I took pictures of it next to their contour pillow for comparison. If you are looking for a thin pillow this might work for you. If you need a lot of support and are expecting 5 inches, I don't think this will do the job. I am happy with it but wish it was a little thicker and did not get as warm. June 17th, 2011 - I wish I could change my review to a 3 ½ star. 3 seems too low but I might change it soon. 4 is giving it too much credit. The foam on the pillow slopes down and is so thin as I stated above. After sleeping on it a few more nights it actually hurt my neck to the point I could not turn my head to the right all day when I woke up. I switched back to the Sleep Innovations Contour Memory Foam Pillow and the pain is now gone. This pillow is great for propping up on your bed to watch TV but I am on the fence for sleeping on it. It has little to no support and is not worth the pain you with feel all day after.

These pillows are the only thing I buy for our bed. My dad originally bought a set for one of his spare bedrooms, the one we used when we were visiting. So we liked them so much, I asked him where he got them. Sears, so I headed to our Sears when we got home and found them on sale for like $30 a piece but bought two. They do eventually start to break down but last with great support and comfort for 10 years. So googled where to get a new set since ours were breaking down, and loved finding them on Amazon. The covers are easy to wash and the foam cleans easily as well, when needed. They don’t get too warm for me as well. I love that they have a 5 year warranty as well.

I purchased this king-size pillow to replace a standard-size Sleep Innovations pillow that I had had for years. I just upgraded to a king-size memory foam bed and I desired a pillow that would fit my new king-size pillow shams. It feels just like my old one and I get a great night's sleep from it. I have slept on firm fiber-filled pillows most of my life, and then, I was given a Sleep Innovation pillow as gift. It took a night or two to get use to the it, but I find it difficult to go to sleep on any other type of pillow now. I'm usually a side sleeper, but since getting this pillow and bed, I find myself waking up on my back too, always well rested. I see some people have complained in the reviews that this pillow was too thin. I don't find it to be too thin at all. They sell the standard size Sleep Innovation pillows at Sears if you want to feel it first. There is some very mild off gassing when I first opened this pillow, but it was gone after a night or two.
