Does the job.

This particular design was recommend to me for use on a tall ship. I’ve had this marlin spike for half a year now. When it arrived I ended up filing the burr off the tip to avoid snagging the lines. I’ve also considered having a hole machined through the thick end to secure a lanyard for working aloft. Not a tool you would want to drop on a busy deck below. Occasional surface rust cleans up nicely. Well made, durable.
