How much sand could someone fit in these?

They are roughly 24x32 so you could fit an 80 pound bag of sand inside and have room left over. I would use the wet weather barracks bags instead of this for sand as they are waterproof also and these ones are cotton so shrinkage might happen.

Yes it is machine washable. I wash it on cold with my dark colors and the bag comes out clean and looking good.
