USB C ADAPTER to 3.5mm

This is the miracle cure for my headphone jack on my laptop no longer working! Very happy with this! Sounds great, easy to use (make sure headphones plugged right into the jack socket or it'll sound like you're underwater).

This is a 6" braided cable, with a USB-A connector at one end, and a headphone socket at the other. On my Linux laptop (Fedora 42 KDE) it means I can listen to audio, despite the built-in headphone socket being damaged. The audio quality is excellent, with no hiss or obvious distortion. When I plugged it in the first time, the audio was broken up, but this cleared quickly - possibly it was trying to install a driver for the device at the same time. Thereafter there have been no problems. I'm not entirely sure about the durability of the device - I'm planning to treat it very crefully.

This adapter works really well apart from one problem. If you only want it to connect headphones or earpieces for listening then these work really well indeed and the sound quality is excellent. However, if you want to use them to connect into an amplifier or powered speakers they may not work properly. I wanted one for outputting music from a Raspberry Pi into an amplifier and while it seemed to be working well, after 30 seconds or so the sound went distorted and slowed down. I found that it did work reliably if I used a Y splitter to connect the amplifier and a pair of earpieces in parallel - presumably the earpieces were providing the low impedance load required for it to work properly. Admittedly this is a rather specialist application and may not be a problem in other circumstances but you will need to be aware of this.

Works exactly as advertised, lets me plug my headset into a USB port easily. Plug and play with no drivers, compact and sturdy build. Good value and useful for laptops or PCs without a headphone jack.

These little adapters are so useful if you're sending audio around a music setup that includes iPads and similar devices. This one is sometimes called into play to send audio out of a USB powered hub attached to an iPad or iPhone. not used often but I'm happy to have it when I need it.

Ich habe den Adapter gekauft, um den defekten Audioanschluss meines PCs zu ersetzen – und war positiv überrascht, wie gut das funktioniert hat. Unter Linux Mint wurde der Adapter sofort erkannt, ganz ohne zusätzliche Treiber. Einfach einstecken – und schon war Ton und Mikro verfügbar. Die Tonqualität ist sauber und klar, keine Störgeräusche. Ich nutze ihn mit einem Headset mit Kombiklinke (Kopfhörer + Mikro), und beides wird korrekt erkannt. Der Adapter ist schön kompakt, macht einen soliden Eindruck und lässt sich bei Bedarf schnell umstecken – perfekt auch als Ersatzlösung oder für Notebooks ohne eigenen Klinkenanschluss. Wichtig: Wie angegeben nicht für TV oder Smartphone geeignet – aber für PC, Laptop und auch Linux-Nutzer eine klare Empfehlung! Fazit: Günstig, zuverlässig und sofort einsatzbereit – unter Linux Mint absolut empfehlenswert.
