I use this everyday and never fails! You have to get this specific brand Cuisinart and model. This is the perfect size for my small kitchen. Easy to clean and put away! Excellent chopping performance! Great product, size and PRICE!

Improvement on earlier model; Great machine!
This machine is an upgrade from their previous model which we have had for about 15 years now. Although the older one is still working and the blade is strong, I felt the need for a new one. I googled reviews and lo & behold the same machine although upgraded had the most favorable reviews by a long shot. Those reviews are correct! I love the new machine; it has slightly larger capacity and the design of the movement of the blades is more efficient and is chopping and grinding so much better with no more pieces remaining at the bottom. This machine is so worth the money; I am really happy with it!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THE CUISINART CORE SERIES 4-CUP PROCESSOR
I purchased the Cuisinart Core Series 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder in March 2024, hoping it would be a reliable kitchen companion. First Impressions The first few uses were satisfactory; the chopper/grinder efficiently handled basic tasks like chopping vegetables and blending dressings. Performance Issues However, my experience took a turn after about two months of use. I had used the chopper/grinder around eight times, primarily for making hummus and salad dressings. During my eighth use, while making hummus, the unit abruptly stopped working. After about a 10-minute break, I tried to restart the unit. It worked for approximately 20 seconds before stopping again. I had to transfer the partially processed ingredients to a blender to finish the recipe. I reached out to Cuisinart customer service. To their credit, they were responsive and sent me a replacement unit. Replacement Unit Woes Unfortunately, the replacement unit also proved disappointing. On its very first use, it stopped processing halfway through the ingredients. I waited another 10 minutes, after which the unit restarted, allowing me to finish the task. This pattern of stopping and starting made the experience incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. Customer Service While I appreciate Cuisinart's prompt response and willingness to send a replacement, the fundamental issue with the product's performance remained unresolved. The issue would appear to be due to overheating, but it never felt warm when it stopped working. Conclusion Given my experience, I would not recommend the Cuisinart Core Series 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder. Consistency and reliability are crucial for kitchen appliances, and this product fell short on both fronts. I got two months of use from the first unit and barely one use from the second unit...that's unacceptable for any appliance, let alone one from Cuisinart. For anyone considering a compact chopper/grinder, I would suggest looking into other options that offer better performance and reliability. That's what I am doing.

One of my best companions in the kitchen
Now that I have one of these I don't know how I ever lived without it. Recipes always say they take only so many minutes to prepare, but it's just not so when you have to do a bunch of manual chopping of your ingredients. Lugging my big Cuisinart out of the cabinet just isn't worth it when I want to dice an onion, a carrot, some celery and some garlic, not to mention the cleanup of the machine afterwards. The bowl and lid of this mini chopper come clean with a quick pass under the faucet if all you are doing is chopping veggies. And I especially love how the blade remains in place when you're dumping the contents out. It hardly takes up any room on the counter and it has become one of my best companions in the kitchen. Another feature that makes this gizmo extra special is that you can reverse the blade direction while pulsing, which helps dislodge stubborn pieces that aren't getting chopped. All in all I'm quite happy with it.

Works well
Love that this is a 4 cup processor, rather than getting the 3 cup at a local box store. Is quick processing, easy to use and quick cleanup. Making a fast dessert in this is easy.

Small but adequate
Small and inexpensive. It's not going to work for a big family, butt will make fairly smooth hummus for a couple with small appetites. It's two settings are two spin the blades forward to chop or backwards to "grind".

Love how close the lower blade is to the bottom
Superb kitchen machine, low blade is very close to bottom so grinds a few pieces of garlic and other small things without leaving chunks. Ideal size, feels sturdy, powerful, comes assembled. Only small issue is it seems to over chop (so powerful it immediately minces) but that may be overcome as I get used to how it functions.

Good unit but chopping not it's strong point.
It works fine but as you might expect getting it to chop is an art. The solution is to chop vegetables etc. a little bit at a time otherwise it chops too fine. Which sort of defeats the purpose because I may be faster chopping with a knife. But I am glad I bought it even though I'll probably go back to making tabouli with a knife.
