The price point was good but that's about it. First, it's not really a full 1/2 inch thick. The peel-off paper backing shreds very easily making it harder than it needs to be for installation. The adhesive is very sticky and it gets everywhere. The foam insulation shreds easily too Good luck getting it off your hands. Oh yeah, there is no information on the label about the made-in-China adhesive. I wonder if there's anything dangerous in it?

Its very messy and comes off with a sticky black glue on everything it touches. Very hard to deal with. Very hard to clean off your fingers. It was very difficult to wrap a pipe with this.

I used this to insulate a couple of copper lines for a heat pump because the original had degraded. It was good in that it fit an odd area, but it's kind of a PIA to work with. Also, I wraped it in PVC pipe tape because I am sure it will not hold up to the elements otherwise.

I needed to reisulate some of my inlet and outlet piping on my wall convector (Two Pipe configuration), and this thick insulation wrap was just what I needed for AC mode piping sweat abatement. The wrap is really not meant to be removed after installation, as it is that sticky. Best of luck.
