What are the resistances for each colour of the LEDs?

To calculate the resistor you need to use for an LED: take your supply voltage, subtract 1volt for the drop over the LED (actually 0.7-1.5 v typical) then divide that figure by .015 amps. (15mA is usually very bright). That figure is the resistor value. Lots of tolerance upwards from that value. (e.g if supply is 12 volts, to run an LED try 11/.015= 733 ohms or more (nearest available resistor value is 820 ohms)

Can you provide 24vdc to these LED's?

Yes but you need the original voltage and current for the LED -OR- a resistor box to bring the voltage up from 0 vdc to the full bright voltage level that is safe for the LED. With that and using Ohm's Law or E=IR you can figure out the value of the Dropping Resistor you will need for a 24 vdc supply.

I am using these to back light a clock. i hooked one of them up to a 9v battery. it fried it. will it stop the frying the bulb if i string 4 or 5?

Sounds like you want to string these in series. Add up each LED voltage rating for the color LED and if is equal to or greater than 9v you should be ok. EG: 2.2 + 3.2 + 2.2 + 3.2 + 2.2 = 10.8v should be ok.
