Not too sweet, with a great texture!
First time buying this. Used in in sauteeing veggies and it works great! Great flavor and mixes well.

Overpriced... but my porch is closer than the nearest asian market
Exactly what I needed to make some delicious pork dishes. The nearest Asian market has this for about $12 less... but it is an hour and a half away through city traffic. The difference in price was worth it to my sanity. I'd overpay again should I need some and didn't feel like driving.

Good sweet red bean paste for cooking, baking, and ice cream.
Good product, it came wrapped in a plastic bag to keep it fresh and the little tub it comes in has a nice airtight snap-lock on each side. It will stay fresh for a while and you don't need a whole lot for most recipes. I am using it to make red bean ice cream and the ice cream has turned out great.

Not as sweet as Hoisin which is preferable for some dishes.

Very tart taste
This โsweetโ bean paste tasted like straight vinegar. I do not recommend for sweet Asian dishes. I threw it in the trash.
