QNAP TS-133-US 1 Bay Affordable Desktop NAS with ARM Cortex-A55 Quad-core Processor and 2 GB DDR4 RAM (Diskless)

Easy setup, inexpensive. Nothing fancy here, and it is really designed for mass storage of files on your network. I cannot speak to have it encode for you, as I don't use it for that. I am happy. I am using a WD 500GB Red NAS SDD.

If you're just using it as storage/backup/streaming videos this is perfect. It has a lot of options and apps but it struggles to run too much. I wanted to set it up to do radarr, sonarr, prowlarr, and download torrents with a vpn. I got that all running with docker and Container Station but it kept running out of memory and the services kept stopping. Similarly, you can install plex server on this but I'm 99% certain it would struggle and buffer constantly. It's a fun toy with a lot of flexibility but it doesn't have the hardware to follow through imo. It's a great device for the price range, just don't expect it to do things it's not designed for.

got this for a plex media server to use in a solar powered off-grid 8ft x 6ft media room . works good.

I am giving the NAS five stars for quality and ease of use once it is setup. It receives four stars for difficulty of setup. The manual tells you how to install the hard drive and download the app, any of assistance is not covered. I had to search You Tube for a tutorial video by an independent publisher. Once setup it is smooth sailing from there. This NAS runs $30-40.00 cheaper than all the others here on Amazon or anywhere else. It s a high quality product with a solid build. I set this up on a Mac and it was discovered right away without a problem. I highly recommend that you checkut before shelling out more money for something that does the same thing.

I bought this device as used, it looks like new and working like new, only the box was used and the accessories.

I've set up more than a few NAS over the years but this one was bear. Too complicated for the average user and not very intuitive. Once set up it's also rather clunky to use. You have to go though the File Station app????? Am I missing something? Every NAS I've used before you just map it and drag files over. This having to use an app to add and delete files is too unwieldy for me. Worst of all though : it is SLOW to boot - in the 5 minute range. I' know it's an ARM but come on.

I'm not a mega nerd, but then again, I'm not a person that doesn't know how to operate electronics. I'm somewhere in the middle ground there. This thing is slow and the. interface sucks User support is almost nonexistent. Everything is online and it tells you to just try it that way. I've got it up and running, but it's not really operating the way I want it to or to its capacity. I've owned different nas before. and this one sucks. Would I do it again, No.

What can I say? If I could give 0 stars I would! Not slow, but VERY SLOW at uploading audio files remotely!! Not recommended if you have high quality audio files: returned!

Best Nas!! I'm currently running 3 WordPress websites on it. I had a terramaster and it was a major fail for me when it came to running a wordpress website.
