Works great on TH400
Was a little sceptic but it worked. I used it on a C3 vette TH400. It was a little tight on the shaft and I had to screw bolt in to have enough clearance between body and trans to put on shaft, gave it a hit with hammer to seat it, screwed it in about 1 and 1/2 turns, turned the bolt and like magic it pulled it out. Tool worked for me and it still looks good to go again if I needed it and it comes with seal. I would recommend.

Good seal removal and install tool.
This tool is perfect for a turbo 350 or 400 transmission selector shaft seal and will remove the old seal efficiently, and the new seal fits perfectly as installed with the driver in the kit. Be aware that a 700-R4 or M30/4L60E transmission has a longer selector shaft and this tool will not work for these transmissions, but the seal will do fine using a socket.

Useless. Trust the other reviews.
This tool is useless - and let me tell you why. The product listing specifies the tool is applicable to a th400, which I have. Important fact, the shaft that the tool must slip over is right at 0.495” (measured with a micrometer and probably spec’d by GM at 0.5” +/- .005” from the factory). More fun fact, this tool has an inner diameter of 0.48” (product listing says it is 0.5”). Now, it’s made in China, so 0.02” tolerance is probably acceptable, but it DOESNT WORK. Now, you may be like me and figure it’s only about $10, so you’ll try and open up the under diameter with a 1/2” drill bit, and you might think that should work well. Well you would be wrong. The walls are so thin (and they really need to be so that they can dig into the seal), that you just end up losing the first thread. Trust me, you needed that thread. It is now impossible to drive the end into the seal (particularly when it’s under an old corvette) and the tool is slightly more useful than it was when received, but ultimately still useless. Now, let’s talk about the big silver tool that you’re supposed to use to drive the seal back in. It is also at 0.48” inner diameter. Granted, this one can successfully be reamed with a 1/2” drill bit, but what’s the point if you still can’t get the original seal out? Now for the included seal. It’s there, but I don’t think I would trust it. I went and bought one from Oreilly’s for something like $5 (which seems like a lot..) but it actually has smooth walls, unlike the one included with this tool. If you somehow manage to get the original seal out with this tool, do yourself a favor and go buy a better seal. Trust me, don’t waste your time, money, or mental sanity on this junk.

Good quality and value
Great repair kit and it worked perfectly. Be sure to make certain that you turn the seal extractor well into the seal using a small pry bar and wrench if necessary.

Worked fine, seal is cheap.
Mainly writing my review for the tool. It fit right over the shifter shaft for a 90’s 700r4 with no issue. I did tap it a few times before cranking it into the seal. It worked perfectly. The install too also worked great, no issues there. The seal included in the kit seemed to fit loose. Gonna try it and see if it works, if not I’ll buy a name brand seal and try again.

Couldn’t use
The product seems that it would work well. I couldn’t use it successfully because of enough room. Not enough space to tap into shaft to get a bit on seal without removing tailpipes

Tool measurements not right.
Would not thread into the seal - so I had to make some small cuts along the tip of the tool and eventually got it to bite the seal and remove. Then installing the new seal the i.d. of the driver tool is too small and gets stuck on the shaft. I drilled it out next size up. 1970's turbo 400. The only pro is the cost!

TH350 shifter gasket
Worked as advertised on TH350. Had no issue, just need to make sure it's squared up before tapping in place. Less than 15 minutes with transmission installed to swap out.
