Some of the reviews for other products reported that the teeth would break and bend, but on this product I noticed that the teeth are designed with a bevel for extra strength. I am also very impressed with the sharpened hoe at the other end; the digging ability is excellent. The axe is nice too and just needs a little sharpening. The fire swatter is well built also but I didn't need it; for the price it was cheaper to get this entire set rather than to purchase a fire rake and axe separately. Review: Misleading images for low quality tools - The image for this is very misleading. The axe shown is a Pulaski’s style head but the axe that came with the package is a “fireman’s” pick head axe...two very different tools for very different work. One is for brush like the rest of these tools and the other is more commonly used in structural firefighting. And as a fixable and therefore minor note, the grain orientation of the axe handle is completely perpendicular to the bit which will likely cause premature failure and breaking of the handle (not that the bevel is sharp in any way, more of a thin and glorified wedge). In addition, the rake comes disassembled (expected). The rake head mounts to a bracket on the handle...the problem is, when aligned with the guide beads for orientation, the hole in the head is offset from the threaded hole for the bolt to screw into preventing a proper seating of the head to the handle. I was able to attach it by not lining up the four guide holes with the beads. Extremely disappointed in both the quality of these tools and the misleading nature of the pictures. Not only was the axe not the expected tool but, in my opinion, two of the three aren’t even of any quality.

These tools are excellent. I was looking for a fire rake on Amazon and this was the best one could find for the price. Some of the reviews for other products reported that the teeth would break and bend, but on this product I noticed that the teeth are designed with a bevel for extra strength. I am also very impressed with the sharpened hoe at the other end; the digging ability is excellent. The axe is nice too and just needs a little sharpening. False advertisement! Not a Pulaski!
The axe in this pack is NOT a Pulaski! Its just a regular fire axe. Don't waste your money!
