Best Spyderco!
I’m a life-long knife collector (75 yrs now). I own at least 70 Spyderco knives. This Spyderco Stretch 2XL is by far my favorite! High quality, good size and SUPER light weight. It’s my EDC. I highly recommend this knife👍🏻👍🏻

Sad Day for Spyderco
I've been buying Spyderco knives for a long time, my first being an Endura Clipit Gen 1. I had heartburn buying this knife, being that it has cheap FRN handles and a not so great VG10 blade steel. I bought it mainly because I liked the blade to handle ratio, the ergonomics, the lightweight, the handle thickness, and the Spyderco "quality." I have even worse heartburn after receiving the knife. The blade is centered and it is sharp, though not as good a job as recent Cold Steel purchases. The ergonomics of the grip are good. The huge misses on this knife for me are Spydie hole and the ease of opening/closing. First the Spydie hole is almost as sharp as the the blade! I opened and closed it a bit, and it actually started cutting through my thumb! It made my thumb pretty sore as well, and I have pretty rough hands and a lot of experience opening/closing knives. I put KPL oil on the pivot and loosened the pivot screw. This helped a little. In the second picture, I show the Stretch 2 XL compared to a Cold Steel Broken Skull, Spyderco Native Chief, and a Cold Steel Air Lite. The kicker here is that Broken Skull and Native Chief are actually clones made in China. The really sad part is the quality of all these knives is better than the Spyderco. The Spydie hole on the Native Chief is chamfered/beveled so it doesn't slice your thumb open. Furthermore, all these knives use bronze type washer bushings and are way smoother than the Spyderco. They all fall shut if the lock is released. The blade steel and the sharpness of all three is better than the Stretch 2 XL. In the third picture I compared the Stretch 2 XL to a Benchmade McHenry 710, a Daggerr Knives Arrow, and a Nemesis MPR3. The Benchmade McHenry 710 is actually a clone from China. All these knives fall shut if the lock is released. The blade steel and the sharpness of all three is better than the Stretch 2 XL. None of these knives cost what the Stretch 2 XL did. The highest price was the Nemeis MPR3 which was under $100.00. The China clones were $20 for the Broken Skull, $26 for the Native Chief, and $32 for the McHenry. Needless to say I am stunned that the China clones are better quality than a real Spyderco. So shame on Spyderco for charging $112 for a marginal quality knife with VG10 steel and an FRN handle that should sell for less than $50 even with the Seki City and Spyderco premiums. I am struggling with whether to sand the Spydie hole myself or just send this back and buy 3 or 4 better quality clones. Being that my old Spyderco Endura Clipit Gen 1 was much better quality than this Stretch 2 XL, I definitely won't be buying another Spyderco anytime soon, and that is a pretty sad statement. Update: Despite my love for Spyderco's, I have decided to return this knife and get more for my money (quality and quantity).

Greatest Knife of All-Time!
Can’t believe the size to weight ratio!! The blade is a whopping 3.93”, and the whole thing only weighs 2.7oz!! LOVE IT! The lightweight FRN handle has an awesome feel - size and texture are PERFECT. The lock-up is strong and has a very satisfying sound. The one-handed operation (opening and closing) is my favorite feature of the spydies!!
