I use this regularly (daily) and love it. Awesome control that is very light weight. It is very stiff and like glue so not easy once you set your hair but it will stay and you will not even have to worry about re-wetting your hair. I find that it works better with dry hair so I use blow dry method then put a very small amount of this in and brush it some times right after you apply. If you wait even just a few minutes then it is very stiff and hard to brush but it holds great. I have stick straight hair and it holds it in place all day long.

My hair is about 1-inch long, straight, and VERY FINE (finer than a baby's). This paste is perfect for it. I just wipe a couple of my fingers across the paste -- picking up just a little bit, rub my hands together, and pat into my hair. A miracle! My hair stays where I put it and withstands a hat without flattening. It washes out with shampoo. I've tried just about everything on the market. This one is now my fave.

I've used a lot of products over the years. After making a solid decision to move on from American Crew fiber I've started using this. It provides a good hold with a matte finish. It's a little difficult to work with, especially if your hands are wet, but not nearly as difficult as American Crew fiber. Just make sure your hands are dry and hair slightly damp. Really work it around your hands before putting it into your hair. Some other reviewers noticed clumpiness and crunchy hair, but to me it sounds like they didn't take enough time to really work it in.Really, finding a good product for your hair takes a lot of experimentation. If it is of any help, I has straight, thick, black, Asian hair. Other products that I've used and had success with are Kevin Murphy's Nightrider and Prejume Wax #5. The Prejume is easier to work with, but didn't really hold him in NYC summers when I tend to sweat a bit more. Nightrider offered a little more hold than Prejume, but now that I am doing a style that needs even more hold than that, Uppercut Featherweight is my go to.

I apply in almost dry hair every morning after a shower, using the amount it takes to feel it covering the palms of my hands after it's rubbed around for a few seconds. I start by my cowlick-of-doom and work my way forward, easily getting volume and a textured look, and then I run my palms on the sides from front to back. Finally, I make sure there's a bit done at the back of my head so it doesn't look forgotten.This stuff's new to me and I've used similar pastes and muds and waxes in the past, but I guess I've just learned what it took for my hair. This lasts me all day and I will hunt down and violently tickle anyone who messes up the future production of this product (my sentence-fu appears strong today).My hair is straight, dense (lots of it), and fine as frell, and I'm finally learning what to do with. I wear it short on the sides with some length on top that's lightly textured, and keep it trimmed on the sides every 3 weeks - it grows out fast and it will show very easily when it needs a trimming. I always go home and shower after a haircut because the fine hairs get under my shirt and make me itch. Hope that helps you understand my rating.

While It did hold my hair, the time you have to work with it is too fast. Makes hair sticky and look dried out

It lives up to the name if you use a small amount. I made the mistake of using the amount I use with PM Tea tree shaping cream and the hold was far too tacky for my taste. I adjusted to just a dab on my fingertip and it made a huge difference. You get the hold you need without that crunchy feeling and unnatural look that some products create. The citrus scent is very pleasant. Another thing I like is how easy it is to rinse out at night before bed. Some products make me feel like I need to shampoo but that is not the case with this. This will also last a LONG time. Overall a great value.

I'm constantly on the hunt for the best wax for my hair (thick and short, with the hair styled to the left). This product - unlike some others from the Uppercut range - keeps it well and truly in place, all day, every day. I also tried the Uppercut powder, "easy hold" and "matte pomade" - but this is the best for my hair, personally. Naturally, it's all subjective, it works very well for me, but may not work for you. I will say - the moment your hair gets a bit longer, longer than an inch or so, it becomes unmanageable and is no longer the right product.At that point, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Uppercut powder, easy hold or even matte pomade. Something else that's really important for me - it easily washes out. Finally, it doesn't leave my hair feeling... gritty, dry, hardened, unworkable etc. The Uppercut powder can do that - it becomes impossible to run your fingers through your hair, and even with a decent amount of Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, it is hard to get out.Not the case here, as I said, it melts away with good shampoo and conditioner. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with hair under an inch (approx) long. It just has great hold, lasts all day, can be restyled through the day if needed, and it has a great matte finish. Smells gorgeous, too, although I do miss the smell of the matte pomade (heaven for my olfactory senses). Give it a try... as long as your hair isn't too long, I think you'll love it! Final thing - a tin (the bigger tin, 2.5 oz, not the smaller "midi") lasts a long time, for me... six weeks or so, you only need a very small amount.
