must have if one wants to use with small tanks
I had two small gas tanks, which I wanted to empty and decided to buy this adapter to attach a proper propane torch, and well, this is the trick! First attache the torch and second the bottle and you ready to go! No leaks, works as it should , safe and reliable. Highly recommended!

1lb propane to c500 adapter

It doesn’t fit a Coleman screw thread.
It’s supposed to fit a standard Coleman thread which it didn’t. Sent back and alternative found on another site.

Does the job
This does what I need it to do so it functions well and was easy to put on however after use I couldn't remove the gas cylinder alone and have had to leave it attached which was not what I wanted with this item.

Funktioniert mit Schraubkartuschen
Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich mir ein kleines Gasheizgerät fürs Camping direkt aus den USA bestellt, weil das in D noch nicht erhältlich war. Da die amerikanischen Anschlüsse aber anders sind als die Europäischen und ich es so nicht nutzen konnte lag es seitdem auf dem Dachboden.Als es mir jetzt wieder in die Hände fiel wollte ich es endlich ausprobieren und brauchte nun einen Adapter für die Schraubkartusche. Also diesen hier bestellt und ausprobiert.Dieser Adapter passt genau auf die Anschlüsse des Heizgerätes und der Gaskartusche (EN417) und macht einen wertigen Eindruck.Bitte beachten, ihn ZUERST auf das Gerät zu schrauben und ERST DANACH auf die Gaskartusche, da sonst bereits das Gas ungehindert austritt wenn man es umgekehrt macht!Mein Heizgerät funktioniert wie es soll, der Anschluss ist dicht, soweit ich als Laie sehen konnte.Einziges Manko: beim Abschrauben der Kartusche musste ich mit Hilfe einer Wasserpumpenzange den Adapter oben festhalten, da er sich sonst oben am Gerät abdrehte und dadurch Gas ausströmte.Ich weiß nicht ob dies üblich ist oder ob ich den einfach am Gerät nicht fest genug und an der Kartusche zu fest gedreht habe. Aber selbst falls das wieder vorkommt kann ich damit leben, so eine Zange passt dann auch noch in meinen Minicamper.
