I found this brand when searching for a gray mascara. This is great! The brush is very thin but it applies a perfect amount. It extends my lashes without the fibre look. Lashes look very natural. It stays on forever. That might be my one complaint. Even with make up remover balm or micellar water it is hard to come off. I bought gray and brown. I’d say the gray looks black, but not a harsh black. Brown is brown. I will repurchase.

*Edit: noticed a lot of reviews are about how hard it is to remove this mascara - as someone who’s used waterproof mascara for years, always use a cleansing balm to remove waterproof mascara. It’s the only way to avoid damaging and losing your eyelashes. Don’t rub your eyelashes off with makeup remover or water. There’s a cheap cleansing balm from Elf that will last you forever and won’t damage your eyelashes when trying to remove the mascara. Just use a bit and rub it on your lashes for 30 sec, wait a minute or so then wash it off.* This Romand mascara has officially replaced Heroine as my everyday mascara. I have straight thick Asian eyelashes that will never hold a curl (even a lash lift/perm cannot keep them curled). The mascara I have used with for the past 5 years is the Japanese “Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl” mascara. It was my go to and I always recommended it to my other Asian friends who have the same problem as me with regular mascaras. My only problem with it was the under eye smudging after just a few hours. This Romand mascara has lasted all throughout my 9 hour work day without smudging. My curl is still perfect, my lashes still look long and haven’t dropped at all. I never write reviews. But what convinced me to write this review was after my 9 hour work day, I went to my therapist, cried for an hour, and my mascara still looks untouched. No smudging. Lashes still look great. I thought nothing would be able to replace my heroine mascara because it was the only thing that worked with me for such a long time. Happy to say you should buy the romand mascara if you have the same problem as me :)

This mascara is great! It layers super well and doesn't move at all! The only downside is that it is SOOO hard to remove!

I don’t know why people complain about it being hard to remove. It’s waterproof so of course it’s harder to remove than regular mascara. I use an oil cleanser (skin1009 Madagascar centella light) and it comes off just fine. I put the oil cleanser directly on my lashes and coat it really well, then rub my lashes and wash off the cleanser. Then I use a q-tip soaked in the cleanser to remove any excess mascara and wash it off. I’m okay with the extra step of removing the excess mascara because it lasts all day and holds a curl really well. It also clumps up nicely to give an idol/manga style lash look. I really love the brown color, it’s a nice chocolate brown. Edit: I switched to the face shop rice bright cleansing oil and that seems to remove it even easier. This is my 3rd time buying this mascara. Still a favorite!

In love. waterproof, doesn’t smudge, lashes look so good and defined. I wish I had found this sooner! To get it off use the special mascara remover. Either the one from this brand or Heroine also makes one. With that it comes right off!

Not really worth it. First of all straight out of the box the formula barely shows up. I’m used to using Tartes tubing formula and I was a little disappointed that it took so long to lengthen. Also, the formula was difficult to remove to the point where I threw it away. I used a cleansing balm like others said but I shouldn’t have to clean my eyes for 30 seconds to a minute. Tartes formula slides right off with just water. I was hoping for something similar with a smaller wand and it does have a smaller wand but overall I hated it and would not rebuy

I’ve used drugstore mascara for years, I have probably tried all of the brands. What I want is a brown, waterproof mascara that doesn’t flake or smudge underneath my eyes as the day goes on. Last year I decided to try a bunch of high-end brands, and they were all disappointing. Eventually I put the prompt into an AI and this was one of the suggestions. I love it!! It’s perfect for what I need, I’ve been using it nearly daily for two months and the product has not even started to clump inside the tube. I normally only get a few weeks of use before it starts to get dry, but with this product I’m getting way more for half the price of a fancy brand name. Very natural looking, and I can even use it on my bottom lashes without worrying about product collecting under my eyes. My search is over!

Easy to apply and does separate and curl gently. However, it’s very stubborn to remove and left my lashes feeling brittle and dry. I’ll use for special occasions only.

Colors a bit lighter than expected but the skinny wand is amazing !!! It feels a bit weird once put in stiff but greasy ???? Idk if anyone else had this issue . But over all it's okay

Ottimo per le ciglia dritte, lo uso dopo il piegaciglia e tiene la curvatura. Proverò anche gli altri colori. Uso il bifasico della l'Oréal per rimuoverlo.

Every mascara I’ve tried smudges under my eyes, but not this one! I love it.

This is the best mascara I’ve ever bought! Holds a curl so perfectly, is truly waterproof and I love the shade. Definitely buy the right makeup remover though or you will not get it off - I’ve attached a picture of the one I use and it comes off easily without losing lashes

Everything is fine with it except that it's very difficult to remove with makeup remover/micellar water. You'll need something oily to get it off.
