this is a second upgrade on a toilet 27 years old

No Directions to Install.
It was easy to find installation directions online. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN nuts or you could crack the fixture. My advice is to replace the water line that feeds the fixture, from the wall, at the same time.

It looked exactly like the one I needed, but found out that it had to match the exact Kohler toilet. I had to return it.

Doesn't work in our kohl-er toilet
New unit sets to high and the toilet lid inter-fears with new style handle and toilet runs setting water to high. Had to shim up tank lid to make it work. This was a waranty relacement unit for a 501-B. We are just going to buy another toilet.Ours is over 25 yrs old and probably limed up badly, no problems with sloan they did try to remedy it at no cost.
