I LOVE this map! I love traveling and my parents gifted me a Landmass scratch off map a few years ago to keep track of where I've been. Scratching off a new country/state has become one of the coolest parts of my travel experiences. My boyfriend enjoys geography and hopes to travel more, so I got him this map for Christmas and am very excited for him to open it! It's a quality product that scratches off well... Just don't scratch too hard 🙂 a helpful tip: a chopstick at an angle is a great scratching tool. Thanks for a great and meaningful addition to my wall! I can't wait to add my boyfriend's as well!

What a great gift for my fourteen year old who wants to travel around the world. She scratched off most of the NorthEastern States and British Columbia. She wants to go to Italy this summer on travel abroad and that will be her next country to scratch off. The quality is outstanding. I think I'm going to frame it.

I love the gold and black elegance of this map. My husband and I have done a little international travelling and now that we will retire and have less income, this will be a memento of every place we have been able to visit. We can sit with coffee or wine and talk about all of the wonderful places we've been! I love that underneath the gold leaf, there are brilliant colors of the countries that you visit. And at the bottom the cutest little flags that you can scratch off to show the appropriate flag - also brilliant colors. My only comment would be that everything is so small that if you wanted to be detailed and scratch off the cities you visited - you know, because you didn't go over the whole country, you can't do that. I suppose you could make a tiny scrape but... I love it! Along with photos, this will be quite entertaining.

I love the map, it gave me a great sense of satisfaction scratching areas I've been to. Also love the black and gold color, I think it makes the map very classy. There are several things to consider however when getting this map. I got the smaller size, and of course being smaller, the size of some countries and states were so small it was difficult to just scratch them and not include other places. I've also had to reference an actual map for some areas as the labeling of some countries make it difficult to figure out which is which (like Indonesia). There were small scratches in some of the flag areas as well. Edit: I've sent picture of the scratches and Landmass replied right away and is sending me a new map. All I can say is that their service is excellent and they definitely go above and beyond what is expected.

Pay attention to the size. I've seen large maps at other people's homes but we like the medium size of this map. The back background looks great and it contrasts the country flags nicely when scratching off. The packaging was great. You need to flatten it out by pressing in under cardboard or something similar for a few days since it ships rolled (as expected).

Overall great quality, but extremely bad geopolitical sense. 1. I thought they were pro-China by including the "nine-dashed lines" and Taiwan as a part of China, but they also included the East Turkestan flag...why? 2. They included North Cyprus and Palestine as a country, but not Taiwan. (Either you include them all, or left them all out.) Sorry for being political here, but including East Turkestan, Palestine, and North Cyprus flags are itself an extreme political proclaimation. Still, rated 3 stars because of the good map quality, would be 5 if they were more consistent on their geopolitical stance.

We have mounted the map on foam core board and placed it in a frame. It looks great. Takes time and care to remove the countries' cover, but definitely worth the effort. Have not damaged the map when removing the countries' cover. Great product.
