What is the SVC100 designed to do?

The SVC100 is an in-wall, speaker-level volume control intended to adjust the volume of one stereo speaker pair (Left and Right) within a room or zone.

Does the SVC100 amplify the signal?

No. It is a passive attenuator and does not add power or gain. A common approach is to set the receiver/amplifier to an appropriate baseline level, then use the wall control to reduce volume in that zone as needed.

Where should the amplifier and speaker wires be connected?

Connect the speaker wires coming from the amplifier/receiver to INPUT, and connect the wires going to the speakers to OUTPUT.

What is the purpose of impedance matching?

It helps prevent amplifier overload by keeping the overall speaker load at or above the amplifier’s rated impedance when multiple speaker pairs or controls are used, set the selector correctly.

What should I check if the amplifier shuts down or audio becomes distorted?

Confirm amp to INPUT and speakers to OUTPUT, then verify the selector is set correctly and matches across all controls in the system.
