This is the perfect light switch. If you are replacing a ceiling light that has a pull cord with a ceiling light that does not have a pull cord. It certainly is expensive, but much less expensive than having someone run new wires from your ceiling to your wall. The only thing you have to make sure of is that there is enough room, either in the ceiling or in the base of the ceiling light itself to accommodate the receiver. Let’s set this light switch apart from other cheaper models is that it has no batteries. It uses the force of you, pressing the toggle switch to power the switch, which can be mounted on a wall anywhere because it is wireless. I was afraid it would feel like one of those old light switches from the 70s where it required a lot of forest depress it but it feels just like any other switch. If you are mounting this next to another light switch, the Leviton light switches with a Decora wall plate matches the run less wire switches pretty well. You may also want to get a wall plate Riser, because The Room switches may be thicker than most other switches.

We use this switch everyday for our kitchen that was a pull switch. It looks very realistic, works well and set right next to the normal switch. Highly recommend, easy to install!

Excellent device if you can’t or don’t want to run wire to a ceiling fixture or fan. If you have a fixture that has power, but no switch and you want it switched, this is your easy way out. It’s small and will fit in most ceiling fixtures and the decora switch just mounts on the wall. It’s-a little pricey but well worth it. Made in USA

I replaced an out of reach pull chain light with this device. The instructions are clear and it was easy to install along with a new light fixture. Now we can easily turn on the ceiling light.

Bought a cheap $20 switch it was cheesy and would not work through metal of recessed light. This product is like a real wall switch and works excellent. Worth the money.

This device worked just fine when I tested it prior to installation. I even tested it with the receiver in the garage and the transmitter over 50 ft away in the house. Through the walls. It worked fine. I installed it, turned int one time. . . and it will not turn off. Even if I turn off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the device, when I restore power the device is stuck on. I think the internal relay in receiver must have failed. This thing is installed in my attic. It took about 30 minutes of wading through fiberglass insulation, crawling on roof trusses and reaching way back into the tight corner of the lowest part of the roof to reach the ventilator fan that I wanted to control. I'm not sure it's worth the effort to go uninstall it so that I can return it. I may just forget the whole thing. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK

Excellent engineering to have a switch without the need to replace battery. You can put the swich anywhere without running wires. Only wish is that the controller is a little smaller to fit easier inside an outdoor electrical box.
