Saved me from having to replace a mattress--twice
When my mom died in the summer of 2022, I traveled across the country to stay at her house and start settling her affairs. The first night I slept in her bed, I was miserable. The bed was absolutely horrible--it was hard, had uneven wear, and caused me significant pressure-point pain that woke me up throughout the night. I knew I was going to be returning to the house several times to work on it, and therefore sleeping in that bed for a total of about eight weeks. There was no way I'd be able to tolerate the discomfort. I thought about buying an inexpensive mattress, but then after much research, I found this topper. A friend unpacked it and set it on top of the bed about a week before I arrived for my next stay, so I didn't experience any of the odor or "rest time" needed for it to expand up to full size--it was ready when I arrived. So...After arriving on a late flight my next trip, I put an extra-puffy cotton mattress pad over this, made up the bed, and turned in for the night. It was absolutely heavenly! I couldn't believe I was in the same bed. This topper (and to some extent the puffy mattress pad cover used with it) converted Mom's miserable bed into a thing of delightful, pillowy comfort. The difference in comfort and functionality was stunning. Ultimately, I slept in that bed with this topper a total of 92 nights, and I was blissfully comfortable for every one of them. This topper completely transformed a bed that was otherwise unusable. It was worth every cent--which was far less than I would have paid for a whole new mattress. Flash forward 18 months: My own bed is causing my arthritis some trouble, but I can't afford to replace it as it's only six years old and was quite expensive. I decided to go for what I know and do what worked last year. I still love this topper. It's deliciously comfortable, not hot, and well worth the money. It only needs to last four years, and it's so substantial, I have no worries about it making that long.

Where have you been all my life?
Oh. My. God. A few months ago I was in a car accident; while I luckily did not break any bones, I severely tore a muscle in my back that has caused me considerable pain even months later. I also have fibromyalgia on top of that. I was sleeping on an old mattress that was only exacerbating my injuries and decided it was time to get a new one for my health--and that included getting a mattress topper. I looked for a long time before deciding to give this one a shot; it was relatively affordable and other people with chronic pain had given it high reviews. And oh my god were they right. This has been like sleeping on a cloud. It's perfect. I have neither slept so well or woken up with so LITTLE pain in, like, years. If you have chronic pain I cannot recommend this enough--it will change your life!! It may be a little hard for some people; my partner who weighs less than me and is back sleeper says it's firm, but I (180 lbs, side sleeper) think it's the perfect medium plush. It does slide around on the bed a bit but is easy enough to push back in place. I also recommend giving it the FULL 48 hours to rise; I was a little worried at first I was going to have to send it back as some of the deep creases caused in shipping took forever to inflate. After the 2 day mark though it was completely fine and have had no problems with it sinking.

Comfy!
I originally bought this topper for my elderly mother who has knee problems and restless leg issues. I thought it would help her. She liked it but being older she had an issue with being able to "get out" of it in the morning to get out of bed, if she wanted to be able to sit on the bed for a minute before getting out of bed, she also complained she felt like she was "sliding" off the bed. Eventually for safety reasons (I didn't want her sliding out onto the floor lol) I removed it and decided to put on my bed. I have used memory foam items in the past, I must say this is one of the most supportive and best made quality ones I have ever owned, and its a true fit for your bed....meaning it will fit end to end, side to side and not leave 1-3" gaps like most toppers do. I also found I have a somewhat difficult time getting out of the bed (partly because it is so comfy but partly because you do sink in overnight and feel like a stranded turtle on its back when it time to get out of bed in the morning). While it is the most supportive foam topper I have ever used...it is still after all...foam. You will still have your hips/midsection sink. I have pretty bad back problems (I have been told by a doctor I need rods put in my back...but thats one of those "over my dead body" surgeries lol I am not gonna do). This does help some with the back problems, I had bought a firm mattress thinking it would help my back but often woke up with back pain, when I use this the back pain isn't nearly as bad and often times, I have no pain when I wake up in the morning. Overall its a very good quality, very comfy, supportive as much as a memory foam topper can be, would buy again.

So far so good!
After endless scrolling through reviews, I decided on the 2inch king size topper. Our mattress is about 7 years old, mid quality, and literally has mine and my husband’s body indentations molded into it. After months of aching bodies but wanting to wait to buy a new mattress, we decided to try and slap a bandaid on the bed via mattress topper. I googled, “best mattress toppers” and this is one of the ones that came up. I compared it to a couple of others and went with this one. I am so glad I did. We let it air out the recommended 48 hours. It did get small tear from dragging it to an unused area to let it air out but I don’t think it affected the quality. Just try and be mindful and maybe have two people move it around. Especially if you’re short. We placed it on the bed, then put our mattress cover over it. We’re hot sleepers and don’t feel a difference in temperature. Our sheets fit fine as well. We can’t feel any dips or uneven surface despite this being on a pretty banged up bed. I absolutely recommend this for a temporary fix, I can’t comment on long term use as it’s only been a week or so. I would also like to add that after the first night of sleeping on this I was initially achey but haven’t had an issue since. I think it was just my body adjusting to a firmer surface. No aches or pains since!

Not a "hot" topper!!
Short version - we used to have an expensive mattress topper that was twice the cost of this topper, and it used to make us sweat at night! This Charcoal Memory Foam topper is AMAZING and does not make me nor my S/O sweat at night!! :) Long version - it took approximately a whole week to let this queen-sized topper expand, it did not take 48 hours (or 72) like promised, but that doesn't affect my review really because it was worth the wait. The 2 inch topper is the perfect size that lets your body sink into the memory foam without there being TOO much foam. This is the best sleep we have gotten in the past year and always look forward to sleeping in our bed now! Also if anyone is concerned about there being a smell, we didn't smell anything noticeable that would worry us like chemicals that smelled bad. We've used this topper for over a month and we haven't found any issues yet thankfully!

Good quality and product, but 2" is too thick
This is a nice product but 2" is way too thick. It's really hard to just sit on my bed and move around freely because there's so much foam to sink into. I would recommend the 1", or1.5" at most. Sleeping in this is better than sleeping directly on the very firm mattress I have, but it's not the best. Like I said, too thick. Quality if the foam pad is nice though. I haven't had and issues with ripping or tearing, but the straight edges on the sides are starting to wear a bit (this is probably my fault as I tend to rip my fitted sheets off really fast). It's not heavy at all and I can maneuver it pretty easily. After getting it out of the box and plastic wrap I would say it puffed up? Reinflated? in about 2 hours or so. Not bad for a queen size. I also have a twin size of the same product for my mom to used on half of her bed. That one puffed up in about 1 hour, which seems like a long time but these pads seem dense af, so whatever.

No Problems
I received the package 3 days ago, opened it up immediately to let it expand for 48 hours as the instructions state and then installed it between the mattress and the mattress pad. So last night was my first experience sleeping on it. Some have complained about outgassing but mine had none. Others have said it's too soft, and when at first I squeezed it in my hands I was concerned about that too. But once it was on my bed it seems to offer a good compromise between give and support. I have no complaints as I find my own mattress a little too firm for my liking. Some say it's too hot, and others say it's too cold. I was actually hoping it would be a little cooler than it is but it doesn't seem to be adding any heat. This is replacing a mattress topper I bought probably 30 years ago and it's a great Improvement. I've seen others that cost well and excessive $200 which I would say is probably a waste of money after trying this one. I think this is a good bargain and it works well.
