Added expense of accessories. Thought process as to how u want the system to operate. But once u get your head wrapped around it all is good.Very well designed control box with ease of adding the accessories your system requires.

This is just another example of the great quality and great durability of GHOST products. The zombie lock works quick and precisely with the GHOST controller. Its makes an audible click when locking so that you know it locked. while it may seem a little pricey, you have to remember, this isn't a knock off, this is a genuine GHOST product which carries premium quality. There no decent substituue for GHOST quality and reliability. Simply the best.

Customer for life..You need a ZombieLock to keep your gate closed and secured. I received the ZombieLock within two days of purchase, packaged well and with all the parts. I put the lock on the gate per the instructions provided. However, the lock wouldn't unlock when I opened the gate, so I called Ghost customer service.In three rings, Chase, the Ghost representative, answered the phone and said, "How can I help?" I explained the issues with the lock, and he then began to troubleshoot everything that could have been. He is the most personable and professional customer service rep I have ever met. We were on the phone for over 30 minutes when he finally said I can send you a new one. He told me to take a screenshot of the invoice from Amazon and text it to him, which I did. He then asked me a few questions to create an account with Ghost so he could send me a new ZombieLock. At the end of the call, he explained how to return the old ZombieLock and said I would have the new lock in two business days.Fast-forward, the lock was delivered today. I installed it per the instructions provided, and it worked as advertised.If you are thinking about purchasing from Ghost, you should. Edited- I changed the one star to 4 stars based on the rapid response of I recieved from Ghost Customer Support. They are replacing the broken actuator and I'm working with a new contractor. Top notch customer service!I (my contractor) purchased the Ghost system in its entirety. The product works great unless there is wind, then proceeded to destroy its actuator trying to get the Gate opened. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I cannot get a refund either due to the timing of the installation. Dont get stuck with this product if you have heavy gates. This is not Heavy duty!

I added the Zombie Lock to my Ghost Controls gate closer and was surprised how seamlessly it integrated into the system. Truly Plug 'n Play, attach the latch plate and the Zombie Lock, connect 3 wires and GO!!But every now and then it will mysteriously unlatch itself and the gate will open 2 or 3 feet. Not every time, but maybe 8-10% of the time, no rhyme or reason that I can figure out. I have set the close gate limit many times, and maybe I will have to do it again to solve this problem... Possibly the Ghost Opener safety sensor pressure setting is too sensitive. Anyway, not a game-changer as my gate opener is only to prevent Amazon drivers from zooming up the back driveway and to prevent our daughter's Pittie from getting out while we house-sit the dogs.Possible improvements might include some "XY" adjustment on the latch plate. i.e. mill a "cross" instead of two single drill holes that would offer a little "XY" adjustment as time and gravity alters the gate's travel.6 MONTH UPDATE: I had a follow-up gate support call from Ghost Controls which turned out to be a low battery situation which I remedied with a charging session beforehand. I will either install the 30W solar panel or do monthly battery checks (easier) with the multi-meter to ensure I have fully charged batteries.However, my 14' pull-to-open gate closer was still bouncing off the latch plate multiple times while setting the 1st jog-to-close. I stopped the bouncing by gluing a 1/2" thick piece of foam rubber to the latch plate. This greatly helps reduce the amount of bounce and it might help you too.

Let me start with the fact that we tried to troubleshoot this gate lock several times. We made sure to fine tune the close position with the jog buttons. Yet time after time our dual gate our get stuck when it tries to close because it closes and then tries to reopen itself, resulting in being jammed shut. Then it beeps so loudly until we turn the system off. It's been a massive headache and we ended up deciding to remove the lock so that we didn't have to deal with a temperamental gate lock. The gate opener system itself works fine, but the lock itself is the issue. Simply, it sucks because when we try to leave for work and close our gate the lock a lot of times gets stuck and it causes us to be running late. Do not recommend this product!

I love how it locks and add more security to the gate. Installation was easy, just follow the instructions and you're good to go. I installed it on the double gate. You have to set the control box dip switch to stag (stagger) and install it on which gate open first. You can also switch the gate main arm and 2nd which ever side you installed your control box. My control box is installed on the right side as you are facing the outside of the gate. I had to install my 2nd arm (with the long cable) on 1st set and main arm (with short cable) on the 2nd set. By the way, this is applies to dual gate and push to open (gates open out) system such as mine.

I ordered the Ghost Controls AXZL ZombieLock Automatic Gate Lock for Automatic Gate Openers for my dual swing driveway gate with Amazon on May 26, 2024. I received the lock on May 30, 2024.The lock was installed on the gates controlled by the Ghost Controls automatic gate openers.In the nice weather, the lock works fine.But recently, I found that, in windy days, the ZombieLock Automatic Gate Lock won't work properly with the dual swing driveway gate. The gate won't open , won't close. It stuck.Sesario one: As in the windy days, when I try to close the gate. Gate A won't close perfectly to the desired position as the wind push it back, the lock on gate B will fight against the lock receiver on the gate A, the gate B won't close, the result is the gates will keep open.Scenario two: in the windy days, when I try to open the gates. Gate B starts to open by the gate opener, but the gate A also starts opening by the wind. the lock on gate B stuck with the lock receiver on the gate A. The gate won't open. System fails.The problem can not be fixed, because the gate and openers system has tolerances here and there.I have to remove the Ghost Controls AXZL ZombieLock Automatic Gate Lock from my driveway gate.On Oct 27, 2024, I contacted Amazon to return the Ghost Controls AXZL ZombieLock Automatic Gate Lock, but they said the return window is expired. They can do nothing for the lock. They asked me to contact the manufacturer directly.I contacted the manufacturer, Ghost Controls, they said, I need to contact the Evenu as I bought it from this seller from Amazon.I contacted Evenu, they asked me to contact Amazon.Amazon's respons for this is they can do nothing as the return window is expired. But the isssue for this product can not be identified within one monthe of purchasing. The issue can only been observed in the windy days. And it is within 6 months after purchasing of this product from Amazon enen the return window is expired.I am so disappointed with Evenu, Amazon and Ghost Controls.

Works as described, easy to install. Worth the money.

This lock functions well with the ghost controls opener, but that’s all.Loses 2 stars for security; The lock does not truly lock; the catch can be pushed back very easily, even with a pencil, with the gate “locked”. I would expect something that is designed to provide security to at least default into a true locked positionLoses another star for the amount of slop in the lock in the latched position. There’s probably 3/4” of back and forth. Also the lock body is not notched to fit around the latch housing, therefore your gates will be out of alignment by a minimum of approximately 1/8”. For the price, I want my gates to align!Loses another star for installation; a simple paper template would be expected for the cost of the item. Sure would make things a lot easier if you can tape a piece of paper across the gate and the latch area and simply mark and drill the holes and remove the guesswork. I’ve installed countless amounts of commercial door hardware and other hardware, most of which come with a simple paper template.Overall terrible bang for your buck. Cut your price 75% and this item might be of value. I hope it stands the test of time; not something I will be recommending.

Do not purchase this I thought I would be able to get this to work on dual gate system especially since my gates are only about 80 pounds and swing freely. But that is not the case the actuator arms seem to get a little lost on where they actually end up closing only buy 0.5 inch or 2 inch which is ok unless you have this lock. Without this lock that gates open and close every time without issue. With this lock I was only able to get 50-70% success rate on close with out an obstruction error. I have removed pin from far gate so latch just rests against far gate ... About 95% success closing rate now and still looks like a locking system from outside property but definitely not worth $300 for that. I might build a custom spring loaded latch system with roller to get this to work better but because the actuators seem to get lost a little I feel reliable closes will be tough so may not be worth it
