A little expensive (though understandable given the quality) and rather slow delivery (though as it comes from the US rather than the UK, also understandable!) But all in all this stuff is great. I was able to make the batch up a couple days ago and after storing in a reasonably sized storage container, this stuff is said to last indefinitely and not mold as long as you mix it about every few days. It feels and smells extremely clean and isn't dusty, doesn't give splinters and is relatively simple to make though I'd advise having a 50L storage box on hand and making it all at the same time. No instructions on how much water to add but I've found if you tear open the bag and add the water straight into it that seems to work! Absorbs water AMAZINGLY and easy to control the amount of water you add too. I was worried that it would up the humidity in my corn snake vivarium to 100% (as I've used a different brand before that did so) but it was very easy to make it expand but also not be sopping wet. Also brilliant for ball python vivariums too (the reason I bought it in the first place) as you can add as much water as you need and it'll keep on absorbing. A lot of waffle in the end from me but if there's one take away, it's that this stuff is the good stuff and if the delivery wasn't so slow I'd probably make it my normal brand!

I have an ARS rack with 20 pretty large tubs, it's an ARS-70 series and ARS-80 series stacked on top of each other. I used a block of Reptichip and a block of Growit, the Growit seemed like it was the left over trash that was sorted out of the Reptichip bedding! There's no comparison at all. Needless to say I won't be getting any more Growit even though it was less expensive. I just ordered two more blocks of Reptichip. So far all my snakes just love it. I tried aspen and it was a mess, the snakes were getting it in their mouth when feeding, and it didn't hold the moisture and would mold very fast. Plus it didn't remove odors hardly at all. This Reptichip stuff is amazing, one block will hold about five gallons of water and expand to probably 3x - 4x the size of the original block. I've heard reviews that people only spot clean once a week and change it out once every three months! I've tried aspen, newspaper, paper towels, etc.. This stuff is by far the best I've used so far, you can't smell the snake poop, holds moisture like you wouldn't believe, and seems like it will last a long time. It may be more expensive up front but seems like it would save you in the long run. I used to spot clean every day with newspaper and paper towels. With this stuff I spot clean once every three days, seems like once a week would be sufficient. Makes keeping snakes so much easier. Now instead of cleaning snake tubs every day I can pull them out and play with them!
