I would have to say, "yes."Another way to build up collagen is to drink bone broth, now available from many sources, including Amazon. Bone broth is full of the nutrients people used to get when home-made beef or chicken soup was made more often than most people do today. The GEL which floats on top of soup is collagen. Collagen is not only good for joints, but for wrinkles! And, of course, it is stock-filled with protein! But for ease of use, these pills have a place.I find that the more, the better with bone broth and it can be easily be used instead of regular broths in soups, chili's, and other cooking. The taste is VERY similar, of course, and one can always add seasonings and herbs to change the flavor around when drinking the broth by itself. I heat it and add rosemary, some dried onion one day and on another day, I change it up to parsley and chicken seasonings and so on.Good luck! Getting joints to respond to helping them is a long-term and on-going struggle.
