Can you use the bottle without the straw?

Yes you can! If you remove the straw it will still function!

Does this fit into your car cup holder?

Barely. You have to push it in. You could take the thing off the bottom and it would probably fit better.

Can this sure-grip glass water bottle be used as a kind of "pitcher" for coffee cream? i'm asking if the straw lid would act as a spout? thank you.

I just tested this with water. The straw/spout opening underneath the lid is just 3/16" of an inch. But it let a small stream of water out. There's also a 1/16" air hole in the middle of the lid. I thought this would leak water when I poured it, but it didn't. As long as I didn't turn the bottle all the way upside down or shake it, the center hole just made air bubbles. So, yes, it could work to pour a small stream of creamer. But keep it slightly lower/horizonal to pour it so the center air hole doesn't leak.

Is this compatible with the lids from the stainless steel water bottles?
