UGREEN USB-C M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure，10Gbps

Perfect for what I wanted. Very solid enclosure, works perfect for my nvme external with my iMac. Very happy with this!! The cable length is really decent. Super easy to use, connected easily, and doesn’t feel like it heats up at all.

There is a tiny "plug" in the case, which is used to lock your SSD in place. A spare is also given in one of the bags; this fell out on the floor and i almost didn't find it. Fair warning. The case is great, good material for the money. Installation was easy. Comes with a heat sink pad. The cables are good but very short; just like every other cable you get with an external SSD these days. I'm always happy with ugreen equipment.

I only needed this for temporary use, to connect a new drive to my PC and clone the C: drive. It worked perfectly for that. It includes everything you need, including both USB-C and USB-A connectors. I used the USB-C cable and the clone took 25 minutes. The enclosure opens and closes easily, the sticky pad for the heat sink does the job, and the price was great.

The enclosure was easy to install, I used the USB-C port on my desktop pc and it was plug&play. My Samsung NVMe SSD that I tried with it worked with no issues. Everything is satisfactory considering everything said. However, the thermal pad included as heatsink looks and feels like a cheap eraser so I was hesitant to have that material contact the PCB of my SSD from the get-go but I went with it anyway since heat transfer is important and the reviews were great. Upon removing the pad there were actual crumbs left on the PCB and around the edges of the components which was difficult to clean off. So I threw away the thermal pad immediately. The thing was indeed like a cheap pencil eraser from elementary school. If an aluminum sheet or a metal heatsink is not feasible, it'd be better to not include anything at all.

UGREEN is the greatest. We buy these all the time at work because they're just so reliable and are good at dissipating heat from the NVME drives, they even come with thermal putty and some high quality cables with adapters attached. Transfer rates are fast, not the fastest I've ever seen but definitely good enough, you can even load games on it pretty fast.

There are better built enclosures if cost isn't a factor, but this is excellent quality enclosure for the price! The included cables are robust and have a premium feel. The rubber hold down is difficult to grab with your fingers but does the job and there's an extra one included which may come in handy with repeated use. Aluminum case and rubber sleeve are great, internals are plastic. I've only able to achieve about 1/2 of rated speed on my computer's 10Gbps USB port which could be a limitation of my PC. Thermal strip appears to be decent quality and correct thickness.

Great tool-free enclosure, very easy to use! This UGREEN NVMe enclosure is excellent. It’s completely tool-free, making it incredibly quick and easy to install or swap out SSDs. The build quality feels solid, transfer speeds are fast, and the included silicone sleeve offers nice extra protection. Highly recommended!

Update: I was wrong, it was with the USB Type-A ports on my computer. On my Gigabyte Aero 15 Classic-WA laptop, using the enclosure with a Samsung 990 EVO 2TB, the right 2 USB Type-A ports will not recognize the drive. The rest of the ports that were tested, at least one of the Type-C ports, and the left Type-A port, both worked in helping me recognize the drive. I think this is due to the amount of power that these SSDs require, the standard 990 EVO requires 3.3V and 1.8A according to the Samsung drive's label. I could be wrong, but it may be that some USB Type-A ports supply power at 5V and 0.5A. But, I could be wrong on this. I edited the review to lighten what was originally said. However, I would still be careful with the thermal pads. As I have now done, you should resize and shrink them to fit on the memory chips and your memory controller (these components account for the heat rejection on the drive). This would allow some space for the pads to move around on their own. It took a lot more force than I wanted to apply, to remove the outer metal case for the 1st time with the 990 EVO installed. As you can see in the images, the last in line memory chip on the SSD was caught by part of the thermal pad. Be also mindful, this issue happened also when the thermal pad was in its stock, original size, not as in the cut-up photo as shown. The thermal pad/SSD assembly had some resistance to movement! I hope this warns everyone. Otherwise, the enclosure works good, it transferred the files it needed to.

J'ai acheté ce boîtier UGREEN pour recycler un SSD NVMe et en faire un disque externe ultra-rapide. Voici mon retour d'expérience : Les points forts : - Vitesse USB 3.2 Gen 2 : Les débits sont excellents. On atteint bien les 10 Gbps théoriques avec un SSD compatible. C'est parfait pour transférer de gros fichiers vidéo ou des jeux en quelques secondes. - Montage "Tool-free" : C'est un vrai bonheur. Pas besoin de tournevis, le système de fixation par clip est ingénieux et très solide. - Dissipation thermique : La coque en aluminium n'est pas là que pour le look, elle évacue très bien la chaleur. Même lors de gros transferts, le SSD reste à une température raisonnable grâce au pad thermique inclus. - Qualité de fabrication : C'est du UGREEN, donc c'est sobre, élégant et robuste. Les finitions sont impeccables. Le petit bémol : - Le câble fourni est un peu court (environ 25-30 cm). C'est bien pour un ordinateur portable, mais un peu juste si votre tour PC est posée au sol. Verdict : Un boîtier performant, fiable et très facile à installer. Un incontournable pour ceux qui veulent du stockage externe haute performance.
