Urinary Tract Support Liquid for Dogs & Cats, Chicken, 6 oz

This is one product that I want to leave a review for so others who find themselves searching desperately like I was can find some hope here. A little over a week ago I caught one of my male neutered indoor cats peeing on my son's bed. When a male cat pees on something outside the litter box it can be a behavioral issue, spraying for territory or a UTI. My male cat sprays when he's upset about changes in the house, so this was not the first time he's peed on anything outside the litter box. What made this different and urgent was that I noticed him going in and out of his litter pan without being able to pee. I knew there was a problem and after Googling symptoms came up with the terrifying conclusion that he could have a full bladder blockage from the UTI. (You've been warned, Google can cause severe anxiety if you're looking for a diagnosis on ANYTHING). I live in a rural area with a handful of vets & that should say a lot. My cat peed on the bed Sunday morning (emergency vet is $100 just to walk in the door) and there is no way that at this given time I can afford a vet. Faced with an immediate urgent situation what do I do? Google and go to Amazon. When I came across this UroMaxx I was the most desperate and terrified that my cat has a full blockage and will not be able to pee again after going on my son's bed. This is the first UTI I've ever had to experience in a cat before, so ill prepared as I was, this was terrifying. I read the reviews and decided that this product is my hope in a bottle (thank goodness for 2nd day delivery). The next day this arrived and I started immediately with a 1ml dropper full in wet food and my cat ate it up. This was the 2nd day of symptoms where my cat was not able to pee in his box but he did pee on the bed again that morning. There was no blood in his urine and he wasn't straining or crying in the litter pan, but he was sitting there long and going back and forth without being able to pee. Day 2 (day after starting UroMaxx) I gave another dropper full in wet food. Still straining. We got into a routine at this point where I'd go out to the room with the litter pans and my cat would run ahead of me meowing and jump in the litter pan so he can try to pee. No pee. Day 3. I am terrified my cat is going to have a full bladder blockage because I am seeing no pee in the box and he's still trying to go each time we go out to the litter pans together. I gave another dropper full in wet food and waited.... Day 4. Dribbles of pee in the box this time when my cat runs out to show me that he can pee in his litter pan. Each night up till now there were tiny and I do mean about the size of large strawberry clumps of pee in the litter pan (which means no blockage and he was able to dribble overnight, just not at all in the morning time). Dribbles were hope. I gave another dropper full and became even more desperate watching my cat trying to pee and nothing more than dribbles come out, so I weighed him and adjusted the dosage of UroMaxx. My cat is 16.5 lbs so I gave 2 dropper fulls in wet food (directions are 1.5 dropper for a 16 lbs cat but I am desperate here) Day 5. No change just dribbles, but my cat is eating, and moving around more than he was before. He's taken an interest in his toys again and by now he's still running out to the litter pans to show me that he can or can't pee. That night, I am beyond desperate now and gave 1 dropper full in his mouth (I've given oral medication before so we know the routine and my cat tolerated me doing it) This stuff smells like chicken and is a brown liquid. He didn't mind, just licked his mouth and gave me a glare that what ever I did to him was not acceptable. Then he started running around like he wasn't sick at all anymore. I was hopeful. Day 6. Morning after giving a dropperful in the mouth my cat runs out to show me he can pee this time in his litter pan. A clump the size of a silver dollar. (I did a happy dance that day). I gave another 2 dropper fulls in wet food. Day 7. Wake up to my cat meowing at 4 am because he's hungry. Got nibbled on for not getting out of bed fast enough to feed a starving cat. This is the first time since my cat started showing symptoms of a UTI that he's woken me up for food at 4 am. We do our routine and he leaves a much larger lump in the litter pan. I didn't think it was possible but he can pee and without straining, no blood and his belly is not hard. I add another 2 dropper fulls in his wet food. Day's after 7 I am still adding 1 dropper full into wet food and my cat is showing no signs of a UTI anymore. What I did notice while my cat was sick is that his belly would be hard and distended. He would frequent the litter pans, go back and forth, scratch in one and sit there trying to pee, then jump in the other pan and do the same thing. He'd avoid drinking water and would only want to eat. He was still active and had no blood in his urine that I could see when he'd pee on the bed and he wasn't dribbling urine outside the box. After starting UroMaxx I noticed that he was more active, his belly wasn't hard longer than a few hours, he started slowly dribbling larger clumps in the litter pans and after a few days he was interested in drinking water again. By the end of the week on UroMaxx, it was like a whole new cat and not one that was sick for a week - he was playing, eating, running and jumping again, even waking me up at 4 am because he was starving. Other things I had to change with this experience. I had to switch from dry kibble with 1 can of canned in the morning to ONLY canned with a bit of water added as their SOLE food. No more dry because dry kibble has about 12% moisture and canned for is 80% moisture. A cat's body needs about 78% moisture or they will be dehydrated. Generally cats that are on dry kibble are dehydrated because they are unable to get enough moisture from the food they eat and no matter how much they drink or don't drink from the water bowls it is never enough to make up for the moisture they should be getting in their food. Cats on canned or raw foods are less likely to develop crystals or bladder issues because there are more fluids passing through their bladders flushing out toxins and especially male cats need this to prevent UTI's and other serious issues that come with bladder issues. Yes, canned food diet for a household of 3 indoor male neutered cats is expensive and a cashier at the store the other day made a comment that my cats are 'spoiled' because they eat nothing but canned food. We can't think of it as spoiling them, but more of taking care of our kitties health. Water bowls I have water bowls in every room of the house so that my cats can have a drink when ever they are thirsty. I only offer filtered water (bottled water) over our hard tap water, because I read that hard tap water might cause crystals in urine (not sure if that's true but I don't drink the tap water, so why should my cats?) Clumping cat litter It is recommended by vets to use clumping cat litter with adult cats (not kittens because they can eat the litter and when it clumps it will cause an obstruction or hard mass that is impassible and deadly) so that you are able to visibly see and count how many clumps there are. Meaning, you know how healthy your cat's bowels and bladder are by the size of pee clumps. UroMaxx I have 3 male cats and they've all been on dry kibble since kittenhood so it is about time that I help their bladders flush and this product has been wonderful in healing the UTI in one cat and helping to flush the other 2 to prevent issues. This is a wonderful prevention for bladder issues and I am giving 1 dropper full each day with wet food, per cat and have noticed an increase in the amount of pee clumps in their litter pans each morning and evening when I scoop. There have been no side effects that I've noticed from any of the cats and each one doesn't seem to mind the taste in their food. Once you open the bottle it has to be refrigerated though, which is something I didn't notice the first couple of days but now keep it in the fridge. Last words. If you've gotten this far and are terrified like I was over a week ago fearing the absolute worst that your cat might have a full bladder blockage or are feeling so helpless because your fur baby has a UTI, then this is a great product to try along with the other preventative measures in changing diet and continuing on with using UroMaxx to keep your fur babies bladder healthy. I can't stress enough how important it is to also change the diet and 'special' vet approved and pushed diets are no different (except in price) from any canned or raw food diet you can get on the market or make yourself. What matters most is the ingredients are not cheap (do your research on corn, fillers and gluten) and the canned food isn't totally water (80% or less moisture will do) then that is a big step up from feeding dry kibble and will help to keep your fur babies bladder healthy. I want to suggest one more natural treatment that I came across while researching and this is Apple Cider Vinegar with 'mother' and if you are out at the store and see it then this is supposed to be a treatment for even a fully blocked cat. Earth Clinic is a good place to find more information on how to use this and treatment for a cat or dog that is blocked or with UTI. You don't have to force feed ACV, you can drop it between the shoulder blades or on their paws DILUTED (always dilute ACV 50/50 with water) and it will absorb into the body and start working. ACV is safe for cats DILUTED with water 50/50. But if you suspect your cat is blocked and nothing you are doing is helping then it is vitally important to see an emergency vet ASAP because within 24 to 48 hours a cats kidneys will start to shut down from a blockage and their bladder can burst which leads to death if not treated immediately after. This is where Google terrified me and I was fearing the worst and almost gave up and went to the vet until my cat started peeing on the bed and then dribbling pee. I believe this product works. It worked for my 3 year old male neutered cat. I still have a bottle on hand and will order again before running out. I consider this a BIG lesson learned - don't feed dry kibble to a male cat.

I bought this for my male cat who recently developed his first (that I know of) bout of sterile cystitis, meaning he exhibited signs of urinary distress but had no infection. The vast majority of male cats who exhibit signs of urinary distress do NOT have an infection. More likely it is a condition brought on by improper diet, or even more likely, by stress in his environment whether it be competition with another cat, lack of stimulation, inadequate access to a clean litter pan, etc. All of these everyday things can have a profound chronic effect on a cats psyche. We got a wonderful, sweet kitten three months ago, primarily for my three year old male cat for a playmate since he is very social. Long story short, they got along and played, sometimes even groomed each other. These things were always instigated by the kitten, in hindsight. The problem was that my older male is docile and tolerant and he never stood up for himself or put the kitten in his place when the kitten was engaging in normal kitten behaviors. The kitten interrupted him while he ate, while he drank, while he slept. And after months of this stress, somehow unnoticed by me because he seemed to tolerate it so well (I feel bad about this) he developed a urinary issue. Straining in the litter pan, back and forth to the litter pan, grooming himself a lot, appearing agitated. I did take him to our vet, and it is important to ALWAYS take your cat to the vet if they are showing these signs. A male cat especially because his urethra can become blocked by inflammation, by mucous and blood that may be in the bladder, by urinary crystals that have formed from either an improper diet or from infection. In my cat’s condition, and this will be the case for most male cats who show urinary signs, the constant release of stress hormone disrupts the mucosal lining of the bladder and this allows urine to damage the bladder itself, causing inflammation and bleeding and discomfort. If you find yourself with a cat in this situation, first take him to the vet. Then, it is crucial to address the cause of his stress. In my case, we rehomed our kitten. Once he detected the older cat’s weakness, he began to pounce on him in the litterpan as well. He isn’t a bad kitten, he’s a sweetheart, but this is just how cats are and if the status quo cannot be maintained, they will exploit that. We also bought new litterpans that have covers for privacy, because cats do appreciate privacy. I also added an extra food and water bowl in another more private area of the house. So as far as I can tell, I’ve addressed the causes of his stress. He is also on pain management given to me by his vet and I have been giving him subcutaneous fluids at home, which prevents the dehydration that will only make your cat feel worse and worse. It also helps the urine to be more dilute to alleviate the discomfort that concentrated, sludgey urine would cause. Also I think it helps to actually have something to urinate rather than just straining. Kind of like how dry heaving is worse than vomiting. Finally, I began giving him this supplement. I think this is a good urinary supplement for cats. The vitamin c acidifies the urine to discourage the formation of SOME types of crystals, the sugars in cranberries also are not metabolized by the body and thus are excreted in the urine and it is believed that they “escort” harmful bacteria and other particles out of the bladder. The glucosamine is said to stimulate repair of the lining of the bladder. However, this supplement won’t treat or cure an infection, and it will NOT dissolve crystals or stones that have already formed. If you use this supplement on your cat or dog and his problems resolve, then the cause of his symptoms was NOT an infection or bladder stones. The only thing that will treat an infection is an antibiotic and the only thing that will dissolve a bladder stone or larger crystals that can’t pass through the urethra is the proper prescription diet. That said, I feel confident this supplement probably helps overall bladder health in the long run, but it is not a treatment. You must address the reason your cat developed a urinary issue in the first place. Keep their litterpans clean and private, free of disruptions. Feed them a quality diet and wash their bowls frequently. Keep an extra bowl of water somewhere else in the house that is private to encourage them to drink more often. Many cats do not like their food and water to be right next to each other. Make sure they have a private quiet space to totally relax. Relaxation and comfort and safety is very important to cats. Play with them, give them toys they can entertain themselves with, brush them if they enjoy it and stroke them gently and quietly. These things all encourage a feeling of relaxation that cats NEED. Finally, I found it much easier to administer 1.5 mL of this with a 3 mL syringe, rather than the dropper it came with. I put it right into his mouth rather than onto his food so I can ensure he has taken the whole dose. Sit your cat up, talk to him quietly and stroke his head. Then gently hold his scruff and pull up and back so that you can have some control and can put the syringe in his mouth. I dispense the 1.5 ml about 1/3 at a time with a pause and letting up on his scruff in between to let him swallow and gather himself up for the next dose. Don’t try to squirt it all in at once, it won’t go well. My cat doesn’t seem to mind this too much, but if this is very stressful for your cat, then just put it on his food like the instructions say.

My 12 year old cat was having some trouble with urinating. It was the weekend and since he was peeing some, and did not appear to be in any major distress, I purchased this and started giving it to him. Did end up taking him to the vet and everything checked out fine no kidney issues etc. They were unable to obtain a urine sample for testing to confirm a UTI but his bladder wall was thicker appearing on an ultrasound so supportive evidence for UTI. Many people worry the cat has urinary obstruction which can be life threatening. If your cat is peeing AT ALL I recommend you try this before the vet if you don't have the money. My cat needed a checkup anyway so I did take him in and for 300$ find out he's is pretty good shape. Also consider switching to we food for extra moisture to help Kitty not be dehydrated and stay away from ocean/fish dry food flavors as this can contribute to urinary problems in cats. Particularly if your cat is male, older, overweight and strictly indoors they are more prone to urinary tract issues. If you don't have the $$ to spend on the vet and all the testing just try this first and switch to a decent brand of wet food and I think you'll have results.

Brought this product after I spent $2000 on my cat because a block urinary tract. He refused to eat the prescription food and will only eat small amounts of wet food. He ended up with same symptoms he had before I took him to ER. I got this and it was hard to give to him because im sure not to tasty, the smell is kind of like an iron smell. The first 2 days I gave to him he started getting better and stopped crying and peeing outside of litter box. The first 2 days I gave directly into his mouth, after I just put in his food. It works great I also use on my dog. Put warning the do not like the taste and will fight you 🤣 This works and saved us from another $2000 vet bill.

My 7 year old male Sphynx cat developed a UTI. He would only pee one drop with some blood in it. Off to the Vet. The Vet manually evacuated his bladder, which contained some blood. X-rays, urinalysis, blood test showed “no” obstruction, or infection. They sent us home with antibiotics, anti inflammatory meds, and a relaxer. They said this happens and sometimes thier is no explanation what causes it. Vet visit $900 with visit/meds. They told me if he didn’t start peeing on his own soon, that he would need surgery to have a catheter put in for 2-3 days at the Vet while they watched/ treated him. Desperate to find out more and to get him to pee, the google magic led me to Uromaxx.. I read some reviews and immediately ordered it. It came the next day about 7pm. I immediately gave my cat a 1 1/2 dose orally as I was desperate to get this stuff into his system and waited. The next day I woke up no change, gave him another 1 1/2 dose orally, hours later he began to go back and forth to the litter box scratch around, and squat for a second still couldn’t pee. I was getting more desperate watching him do this. I went to the Vet and they again manually evacuated his bladder. They urged me towards the catheter procedure as he still couldn’t pee, and reiterated the dangerous condition the cat was in. I told him let’s give him one more day to pee on his own. Through this whole ordeal I continued the medicine prescribed by the Vet and the oral doses of UroMaxx Now more desperate I went home gave him another dose, and anxiously waited. I noticed the 1-800 number on the box and said what the hell, I’ll call them. This company actually answers the phone!! I spoke to “Ron” who then spent the next 25 mins educating me on feline UTI’s and the success/ science behind their product. As I was talking to Ron, my cat went into the litter box and peed the size of a quarter! There was no blood, but now there was hope! Ron assured me it was the Uromaxx taking affect. After talking to Ron I gave him another 1/2 dose, the next few hours still the same more frequent trips to the box with quarter size pee. Right around 6pm my cat went into the box an peed the size of a softball! I could see the relief in his face, and his behavior. Minutes later he peed again this time more! I felt so relieved!!! He peed a third time, went on the couch under a blanket, curled himself up into a ball starting purring, and went to sleep. Im sure he was fully exhausted from the 3 day ordeal. So was I! After seeing this I gave this orally to my other two cats and within hours they were running around playing like kittens. IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND ARE IN THE DESPERATE SITUATION I WAS, ORDER UROMAXX IMMEDIATELY!! YOU NEED TO GET THIS INTO THEIR SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY TO START WORKING!!! This stuff is amazing and I will continue to use it as preventative measures and add it to my cats food everyday! I don’t wish, what my cat and I had to go through on anyone! It was a mentally, physically and financially exhausting experience. This stuff is worth every penny! Call the company if you need reassurance, this is a reputable, knowledgeable company that goes the extra mile to educate and reassure you verbally. Thank God for Uromaxx

I do think this is helping my cats with their bladder issues (blood in the urine and pain during urination - likely caused by stones and/or crystals). I'm giving this to 3 of my cats who displayed one or both of the aforementioned symptoms along with changing their food to a Wysong's Uretic Cat Food. (Their previous food was likely causing the problem since several of them developed this issue.) It's only been about a week, but I have noticed that the bright red blood in their urine has now become brown (old) blood, hopefully meaning they aren't actively bleeding anymore. And they aren't crying during urination anymore which means it's helping with the pain. My only real issue with this product is the ridiculous addition of caramel color. 1. Cats do not care about nor benefit from the added color. It's only there to make it look "nicer" for the humans. 2. Caramel color is not beneficial for the cats, and some may argue that it is actually bad for their health. 3. If your cat fights you and spits it out or a little comes out of the dropper in the process of giving it to the cat, it will stain carpet (thus, I recommend giving this to your cat over a hard floor.) This would be a five star product if the caramel color were omitted. I would probably use this product again if I needed to and couldn't find something similar without the added color.

I've been purchasing this product since 2017 for my cat who had issues with crystals in his urine / blockages. It used to work great for my cat, but since the formula's changed, it is no longer reliable. Photos of both bottles posted. Left bottle is the original product. Right bottle is the watered down new formula. My experience below: The first two bottles were lifesavers! I followed the instructions exactly and my cat didn't have any problems. By the third bottle, I noticed that the liquid was different. Instead of a dark brown, viscous liquid as it usually was, it was a lot thinner and a very light brown color. I thought nothing of it, since products change all the time. The instructions were exactly the same, so I figured it would be fine. After just a week or two of using the new liquid, I noticed that my cat was having problems urinating and became blocked. I had to take him to the vet to help him get cleared out. I upped the dose with his regular food (working off of a theory that the company watered down the formula) to 4-6 droppers (more than double the instructions) and it seemed to work okay. I ordered one more bottle just to be sure. I thought I had a bad batch, but the newest bottle I received recently was the same light brown liquid as the last one I got. I also noted that the bottle was flimsier plastic. This will probably be my last bottle or UroMaxx and I'm on the hunt for a different product now. Bottom line: It's apparent to me that the company likely is trying to save money on their product by switching to cheaper packaging and watering down their original formula. You have to use more than double what the bottle recommends since it's so watered down now, so really, it isn't worth it anymore for $30 a bottle.

So far I'm VERY IMPRESSED, only been using it for 2 days but already my 11 year old chocolate lab has been incredibly better here pees are bigger and no more tiny pees every 5 minutes she's taking much longer to pee like a normal dog ,although its still early i am very happy/ecstatic with this purchase has of right now.

After multiple visits to the vet, doses of antibiotics, and following everything the vet told me to do (changing the food, litter quality, home environment, water quality and so on) my two year old neutered male cat STILL continued to express UTI symptoms. His quality of life was declining and the vet bills were adding up. I was afraid I'd have to make that fateful decision no pet owner want to make because nothing seemed to be helping him get better. At the end of my rope, I decided to go looking online for anything that'd help my cat. After reading many, many reviews of supplements that helped kidney function and cats suffering from UTI, a good majority of people raved about UroMAXX's Urinary Tract, Kidney and Bladder support. While not the cheapest of the brands I looked at, it was one of the top rated by real people who'd seen good results from using it alongside what their vets had already been doing, so I asked my vet if I could add it to my cats treatment and she gave it the green light. That done, I ordered it right away with express shipping and it arrived in three days. Following the instructions on the bottle, I mixed the proper amount for his weight into his wet food every night. Being it's chicken flavoured he didn't even notice it and ate it right up with his food. After a month of giving him this (the bottle says to only give it to them a week but I asked my vet and they said it can be given longer), alongside everything I'd already changed in accordance to my vet (no ash food, better water quality and so on) and no other medications or supplements, his symptoms lessened and finally went away. This isn't a "cure all" or meant to be used as the only treatment for UTI, but I'm convinced it's given my cat's kidneys and bladder the natural boost it needed to fight back and regain their health. He's now a month UTI free with no symptoms that he was even sick and back to his usual mischief-making self! The only thing I'd press about this is to make sure you ask your vet before using it on your animal or using it in a different way then what's written on the bottle (like for a longer period of time, like I did.)

Let's fast forward to about a month ago. My Daschund started having some blood drops in her urine, along with going outside every 5 minutes or so only to leave little dribbled of urine and blood on the floor. Immediately called my vet the next morning and brought her in. $450 dollars for the appointment, urine test and generic medication. They would call me back a few days later with the results and prescribing me a more specific medication for her UTI. This cost me around another 50$ for this new medication. Was told to give it to her once a day for 2 weeks. After the two weeks were up the vet wanted to recheck her urine sample...again this cost roughly 150$. She was good to go. But after being off of the medication for 2 weeks she started having some more signs of the UTI. Not as frequent urination but there were dribbles of blood. I had seen some other UTI holistic reliefs at the pet store but wasn't aware it was only for cats....There was no way I was going to take her to the vet to spend another 600$ if this was going to be a recurring thing. Let me also mention that my dog has a few other health issues so spending roughly 100$ on meds every two months and vet checkups every 3 months to make sure her regular meds are still working well with her. There was no way I was going to be able to afford these vet visits if the UTI was going to become a regular thing. I began trying to check all my pet stores but again everything was made specifically for cats....than I checked amazon and found Uromaxx. I ordered it on Tuesday night...it came Wednesday morning. I gave her the first dose on Wednesday night mixed with some of her wet food...then followed up with the same the next day. The first 2 days I didn't notice too much....Her third dose was Friday (yesterday) and still last night she did have some blood in her urine. Now today I haven't spotted any blood in her urine and she's peeing less frequently. Again gave her another dose today and will continue to give it to her regularly now for maintenance. She's still not 100% better because she still can't hold in her bladder sometimes and just....goes but I would say it is helping. I've only been giving it to her for the past 4 days but have seen some improvement already. Once I give it to her for a bit longer I will comment about her getting better. So far I'm loving this product and if it works than this will be a repurchase for me in the future! An updated to around 2 weeks after this was originally posted . After taking this for another 2 days her peeing without realizing stop and so that’s when I knew that she was fine again. I have been giving it to her once a day as part of maintenance and have had no signs of the uti returning . I love this product and will reccomend it to anyone who’s dog or cat has a recurring uti problem . A 40$ bottle of this every 4 months is a lot cheaper than a $300 vet visit monthly .

This actually works when I didn't think it was gonna. My boy was having problems and bleeding from b-hole, but after giving him this for a while, it stopped. I still don't know what was wrong with him, and I don't know if this fixed anything or made it worse, because he passed away anyways but at least feeding him this product stopped it for a while.
