Why is the cost $143 compared to similar machines for about $40?

What brand of automatic sprouter costs $40? I haven't seen one. The EasyGreen automatic sprouter is similar and costs $199. The Sproutman Wheatgrass Sprouter is $129. The Biosta Sprouter is $40 but it is not automatic. The Freshlife and Easygreen have automatic watering systems, while the Biosta must be manually watered a few times per day with a water spray bottle.

The dimensions of the seed tray is about 10 inches across. Now the diameter of the bowl they set in is about 10 inches across by 6 inches deep. I hope this answers your question. I really love this sprouter, I have had many types of sprouters and this has my vote. Its worth every penny.

Yes… this is a wonderful system I’ve been using for years. No odor, but it’s important to change the water in the barrel daily as recommended.
