As with most Nanoleaf things these were easy to put up and get connected, I've got them integrated with Home Assistant and that's working seamlessly which is great. I've had intermittent connection drops (twice over a six month period) which is pretty good for an always connected device so they seem pretty reliable. For the price I think they're good value, they really look great and with the music reactions adds an extra dimension to the experience of chilling with an album on (and certainly look great during a party).

Just a warning the app can be a pain to connect to, tried for days & after contacting nanoleaf support suggested a reset & my friend who told me about them had said the same, as soon as I did that (and actually reset the white adapter not the actual switch by the lights) it did connect App could do with some work it’s quite basic & customisation is kinda simple/can’t save stuff as well like govee’s app, but regardless the lights are great, I bought the extension pack as someone had confirmed with nanoleaf that 1 transformer can support 18 lights total, these were pretty easy to put up & so far are sticking well to the ceiling The bright side is you can put hex codes in for specific colours, these brighten my room so well I’d happily get some more But plsss nanoleaf improve the app pls! At least make it when you pop a hex code colour in you can save just that colour!

Looks amazing but there are some major issues that make it basically useless to use such as when I power it off and on at the socket it will turn on as white and will not change unless I detach the LED lines on the main connector with the power input and reinstall them if I don't do this when powering them back on then the buttons will not function on the controller and it will permanently stay white. The buttons on the controller are also slow and unresponsive most times and don't do much not to mention that the clips that cover the connection points are so weak that I have had two snap inside the mechanism so I have had to unscrew the connection point on them to remove the plastic that is stuck in there. Finaly the App control is bad as well with an awful setup that is unresponsive and the customisation is slow and unresponsive just like the buttons on the control unit. I would not recommend this to anyone as it is incredibly overpriced as I paid £143.99 with features that just don't function and issues that are constant. So as a summary. • Amazing lighting • bad durability • Awful control over lighting with or without the App • Conectivity issues • inconsistent issues with powering on and off •Overpriced This could be an issue with my unit but it seems like all nanoleaf products suffer with the majority of these issues.

Expensive but look brilliant

My son had bought the extension pack in error without a starter kit so was so glad when I came across this. It all fits perfectly together really easily and he has them set up in his room. Good option of colours and settings which can be controlled by his phone.

The lights are great and illumination is definitely worth the money but reaction with music is not as it is described and shown in demo video.

I wanted an ambient, interactive light and these certainly fit the bill. The app is comprehensive and there is a huge amount of variety of patterns and colours. You can design your own or download from the app. Fitting is easy and the App allows you to plan the layout of the lines. The sticky backs are very sticky - plan carefully first as mistakes can be damaging to paintwork or wallpaper. They integrate well with Alexa and Siri and voice command is p. I have other Nanoleaf products and they are all working within the Nanoleaf app - where the most customisation of the products happens - as well as Home App & Alexa app. I find my Nanoleaf bulbs are more stable since I got Lines - I think the thread network strengthens their interactivity.

So, the good stuff first; these look great. I bought some Nanoleaf Elements for my bedroom and after being happy with those I decided to get something more colourful for other part of the house. I started off with this ‘Smarter Kit’ and then bought two three line expansion packs to make a larger design taking the line count up to 15. I then decided to add a 3rd expansion kit taking the full design to the quoted maximum 18 lines as per Nanoleaf’s website, however, once that final line was added I noticed that the app shows a warning advising I need a second power supply (and that the brightness has now been restricted). After double checking that I hadn’t made a mistake re the limit I decided to contact Nanoleaf support who told me that 18 lines exceeds the power limit for a single power supply and then (to add insult to injury) told me they have some in stock if I would like to buy an additional power supply 😲. I’ve responded to them recommending that they update their product material as it clearly states a limit of 18 lines per power supply, but I’m guessing they won’t do anything (or reply). So be warned if you intend creating designs that reach the (advertised) line limit as that information is incorrect.

Amazing Lighting And Customization Options, The Only Downside Is That It Can Only Be Connected Via A 2.4Ghz Network. But Overall Strongly Recommended.

Do not buy, the kit is apart of a defective batch and does not work.
