What is this made of?

I only purchased the dual pack, B&W...but I checked the label and it’s 100% polyester. I will say, it’s pretty good quality, strong and I really like it, as a good thread for sewing heavier fabric, whether machine or hand sewing.

Will this work good in the bobbin of a home macine?

Yes. I use it on with my home machine. It works great.

Will this work with my brother HC 1850 machine?

I have no idea, check your sewing machine manual and do not exceed what it recommends as you might bend your needle.
