My 89 year old husband can't tolerate milk or milk products. This is a good answer to the problem of supplying him with additional protein nourishment.

This is perfect to drink when I can’t eat.

Decent taste, but a bit pricey. They don't cause stomach issues and gives you that nutritional boost that you need when you are unable to actually eat.

This is a difficult review to leave as I dislike someone giving a product a bad review for reasons other than the product itself. Therefore I will give the Compleat Standard 5 stars that is listed here and that I originally ordered but the one I was sent Compleat PEDIATRIC formula and Nestle Isosource 3 stars as they aren't as good as the Compleat Standard formula. Amazon won't refund the $100 or replace with the correct product. I understand that it is a food/medical product but want to let everyone know that you might receive the wrong product and you're out of luck in trying to get it resolved by replacing with correct product or getting a refund - this is the 2nd time this has happened. The 1st time Amazon refunded the cost but I guess if it happens to you twice they don't. All the Compleat formulas are NOT the same - 1st time they sent Nestle Isosource 2nd time it was Pediatric formula. As for the Compleat Standard as a product, it has been a literal life saver - My adult daughter was about to be put on a feeding tube because of extreme malnutrition due to complications from EDS & POTS. A last ditch effort to try Compleat Standard as a drinkable shake was advised from a Johns Hopkins doctor. It worked! It was the only thing that she could use to help her put on weight. Went from 85 pounds to 100 in 3 - 6 months. It is very pricey and if there were an alternative we would try it but it tastes good to her (chilled is best) and it stays in her system. Costs even more if Amazon sends you the wrong product - twice! If they change their mind about a refund or replacement of correct product I will update -

I love that it’s very low sugar, 7g I think, but would prefer 6g of fiber and really dislike the fake feeling, yes, feeling. It has sort of a dry aftertaste. Their competitor, katefarms, tastes sooo good- it tastes REAL. But this formula is fine when you’re in need. And I am. On hospice and nothing tastes appealing that would fill me up, you know, like potatoes and gravy (non dairy for me). I’ve managed to gain 8 lbs since I started using these shakes/kate farms 3-4/day. It’s so, so expensive 😓 I really don’t see why, except that they have a niche.. and it’s a medical necessity for many as tube feeders. Seems like someone should be monitoring this. At this point, I’m just glad we’re able to keep them in stock..

It has a very good taste. Some of these nutrition shakes leave an aftertaste. But this one does not. It doesn't have any of the ingredients that some people are allergic to. This one does not.

My daughter is a failure to thrive baby, and she has packed on the pounds with this formula. She loves the taste, it's thick and creamy, and she asks for more! Great value for the money for sure! Well worth it.
