Great for food storage
These are great oxygen absorbers. I'm really glad they ship in three separate sealed bags too, since it makes it easier to use a few at a time. They come with an oxygen indicator in each bag too, so you know if they're still sealed or not. Plus, you can seal the bags back closed with an iron if you don't use all 10 at once. I used these for grain storage in food safe 5 gallon buckets. They worked so well that they puckered in the sides of the buckets after I had sealed them in! Almost a year later, I've opened up a few of the buckets an there's no sign of any degradation/rot/pests on any of the grain.

Not a good experience for me...
I received the absorbers in fine fashion. I put them in 5 gallon cans of grain, using 5 Gallon (18"x28") Ziplock Zip Seal Mylar Bags, I pressed as much air out as I could, added one 2.000cc absorber, to little effect after waiting 5 hours, so I opened the mylar bags and added up to three in each 5 gallon can. Still no vacuum effect. It could be the bags, it could be me, or it could be these absorbers. Maybe I am suppose to use more than I did, but over all this has been frustrating and not effective. I don't know where to go now to solve my long term storage problem. The unused absorbers did create a vacuum effect in the quart jar I stored them in, so I know they worked to a degree, just not to the degree I needed in this case. Darn. As an addendum, I have since gotten new absorbers and sealed the mylar bags with an iron set on Cotton. I got a great vacuum seal and the bag tightened up wonderfully against the item stored within a few hours. All was well. The problem was trusting the ziplock seal on the mylar bag. I hope you will learn from my mistake.

Good Enough
Used them to store dry goods for long term storage. Had to use several in the gallon size bag I was sealing, but they still didn't suck all the air out, but there was a noticeable change in the bags after a couple days. As I've only had them in storage a couple months, I guess it remains to be seen if it worked to keep the contents safe.

Fast shipping. Good price.
Just received these today so I can't yet comment on their long-term utility, however I did want to say that amazon prime shipping got it here 1 day ahead of schedule! These are 2000cc absorbers which are great for 5 gal buckets packed with minimal excess air space (I used mine for sugar and beans). Typically it's recommended to use 500cc x 3 for 5 gal buckets so I thought this would be a good purchase. They come individually packed in sets of 10 with an O2 indicator inside the package (looks like a pink eye). The eye will turn purple upon being exposed to air (it took about 2-3 minutes before mine turned color). I only used 5 initially so I used my food-saver vacuum packer to seal the remaining 5 for later use. Overall great experience so far. Be Prepared. Update (6/5/13): The 5 gallon buckets (Food-grade buckets purchased from Lowes [approx. $5.40 after purchasing gasket lid]) were individually filled with various long-term foods (Sugar & Beans). I tossed one of these on top before installing the lid. After one day the lids have been sucked down tightly and all the air has been absorbed. The 5 gallon bucket feels like a solid brick now. My only problem now is opening that sucker!

Good Absorbers
I've tried a couple different brands from different sources. I've had good success with these absorbers. They have also stored better than some of my other absorbers though I wouldn't recommend purchasing them any sooner than needed. The fresher the better. Early in my packaging days I was having a 10-30% failure rate of bag sealing. I have a good sealer and purchase heavy mylar bags. I though my failure rate could be from low quality absorbers or pin holes in the bags. I now believe the bag seal is the essential step. For heavy bags the sealer needs to be hot, on the hi setting. Per my IR temperature gun my sealer is over 300F when I start sealing. I hold the sealer on for about 30 seconds to make sure the mylar bag becomes very hot. I try to make sure the two sides of the mylar bag are flat too before closing the sealer. I also apply two parallel seals in case one leaks. I seal the bag most of the way across the top leaving a small gap just large enough to put the absorber in the bag. Once I have ten bags ready I open the package of absorbers, fill the 10 bags, and seal the final small gap. With this method my absorbers aren't exposed to air for very long before they are closed in the bag.

They work well.
I bought a bag of these to use with my emergency food supplies I am storing in five gallon Mylar bags. I used all 30 of them in one day (they come in sealed packages of 10). I used a shopvac to suck out most of the air before I sealed the bag. The next day the bags were sucked down tight. The bags of beans were like bricks they were so tight. I will definitely buy these again.

Not sure how well worked.
Somewhat disappointed in these. I packed 50 pounds of wheat in food grade buckets with an absorber in the mylar bag and one between the bag and the bucket. Abosorbers I have purchased in the past, have pulled so much oxygen from the buckets that the sides of the bucket pulled in. None of these did that so I am a bit concerned as to whether they have done the job or not.

Not even close to 100%
I've purchased many Oxygen Absorbers and I'd give these zero stars if I could. First, the indicating eye does not work, which is suspect. It's pink which should indicated no oxygen, take it out of the bag and days later it has not changed color. Second, I agree with the listing, one of these should be adequate for a 20x30 mylar bag. However, three didn't even absorb the air in mine which indicates they were not even close to 100% when they were packaged. When these are exposed to oxygen they should get very warm until the chemical reaction is complete and the absorbers are spent. Once I cut these out of the bag they barely heated up and 3-4 in each bag didn't even get warm.
