Great for open jars. Cut them up and one has a very good needle puller.

I had a gripper pad that I was given many years ago and as a result can not remember where I purchased. It was of similar size, shape and design however it was made from what appeared to be rubber and slightly thicker. I had it for many, many years but it recently tore so I ordered these. These are slightly thinner with the material being a bit more slippery. I used them a few times already and they work well however they don't grip quite as well. The original gripper pads had deeper texture embossed into the pad where as these, being thinner, have about half the texture making them more prone to slipping. None the less, they do work well, just not quite as well.

I wasn’t expecting something as durable as these. I was thinking they would be cheap and probably not survive our usage of them. However, I have been pleasantly surprised after using them! We have two in the kitchen, one out in the shed, and the other in the camper. All have been used for months now for opening various things and they have not torn or been worn out at all! These are fantastic!

Don't buy, junk. One side is smooth, other side not smooth, a slight cross hatch pattern for grip. Despite the pattern, these don't grip, they slide like they are on ice, or oiled. It's actually easier to open jars without them.

Makes it very easy to open containers

Helpful when the jar lid is screwed on tight.
