Divevolk Seatouch 4 Max Waterproof Case for iPhone 12/13/14/15/16

Update: It was today used on the house reef in The Maldives and performed perfectly. 😀 A few photos added to my review.I usually take a compact underwater housing with dome on my dive trips, but this time I thought I'd give my iPhone 14 Pro a try. Obviously I want to protect my expensive iPhone so after much research purchased this highly recommended product. I've tested it underwater, although not yet at diving depths, and it maintains full touchscreen capabilities whilst being 100% waterproof. I'm very much looking forward to using it on an upcoming trip to The Maldives.

Very happy with my purchase as a Christmas present for my husband. Quick delivery. Great packaging. He needed a separate phone insert to suit one of his phones and the communication with Divevolk customer service has been exceptional. He is looking for a great product for underwater filming and photos and this is by far the best that he has tested from a friend with superb results.

Super happy with this. Compared to the SeaLife competitor it is SO much less faff, allows you to use the normal Camera app or whatever other app you wish and it feels so much safer. However, don’t waste your money buying the red filter, it over-saturates the images even at depth, had it on the clamp on multiple dives until I just took it off as I found it useless.

The case is really well built, and does a fantastic job, It's really easy to use. To add to that I have recently upgraded my phone and got in touch with Divevolk about getting a new insert as this was not available on Amazon UK. The customer service was exceptional, and they managed to ship me one out prior to me going away. What was really impressive was how quick and simple and well built the unit is. I've used a Sea Frogs housing with a GH5 before, and it was just a bit of a faff, and huge to travel with, this on the other hand is simple, small and does a fantastic job. It is so quick and simple to flick between Phot and Video, and the results speak for themselves.

There are several benefits to taking your mobile phone under water with you: it's a very good camera, it's an even better video camera and it's a fantastic emergency communication device. This housing works really well and I refrained from giving it 5 stars only because of problems inherent in any underwater phone housing: the touchscreen works but is not pleasant to use, not having access to buttons is a limitation and the screen membrane is fragile. On the other hand, this particular housing is very well built and is compatible with a bewildering array of phones. It is likely you will keep it longer than the phone you bought it for and that it will be compatible with the next one you get. Going back to the communication thing, between many dive sites being close enough to shore to have cellular coverage and the appearance of satellite radios in mobile phones, this allows you to have the best possible rescue device in your pocket while you dive. It is also one that has a built-in GPS (on the surface only) and even marine charts options. Once on the surface, many phones are water resistant enough to use without the housing, which would be necessary to conduct a conversation or use more complex software such as a messaging application. Do be careful with the gasket on the door, it is easy to have unseen hairs or dust compromise the seal so it needs a careful inspection and cleaning before closing.

Nothing to complain about. Does what it says. Having touchscreen functionality is great. I followed the instructions, took care of the case and it, in turn, took good care of my smartphone. Came back from vacation with some amazing photos and videos.Don't forget to test it with the insert instead of an actual phone on the first dive, to make sure it's not leaking. This is the usual advice with any protective cases.Also I want to mention that, though the instructions say to remove the screen protector, that's not necessary if diving to depths less than ~20m. The screen becomes less responsive at around 22m losing all touch responsiveness ~26m. So plan ahead, and if not diving too deep I recommend the simplicity of not removing/replacing the screen protector.

I am a huge fan of the DiveVolk product and the company behind it. The housing unit for your phone is reliable, convenient and easy to use, and provides an absolute sense in security of keeping your cell phone safe. As a Dive Professional, and diving everyday, this was the smartest choice for me. There is nothing like ending a dive and being able to airdrop your students all of their photos in under a minute. Additionally the setup of the housing unit is nice and quick and simple, where as an instructor I know I wouldn’t have time on the boat to use the other various phone housing brands. The touch screen underwater is phenomenal, nothing like being able to type “they are nudi branch eggs” when divers have no idea what you are pointing at and you can’t come up with a signal. Another part I really like about using the DiveVolk is the accessibility to continue to add attachments for the more serious underwater photographers. The night videography quality with the cell phone too really really makes a difference. I’m really glad I chose this product a bit over a year ago, after diving nearly daily, it was definitely the best investment in comparison to a new GoPro or an actual camera underwater. I’m still happy with this decision.

Ich beginne mal kurz und knapp mit: "Ich bin begeistert!"Und nun etwas ausführlicher. Nach meinen letzten Tauchtrips war ich auf der Suche nach einem Ersatz für meine GoPro die ich bis dato immer für meine UW Videos verwendet hatte. Dabei wollte ich folgenden Punkte optimeren.1. Bessere Auflösung als "nur" 4k2. Möglichkeit auch Makro-Aufnahmen von z.B. kleinen Schnecken zu machen was mit dem Weitwinkel der GoPro ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit ist3. Zoom Funktion um auch weiter entfernte Objekte filmen zu könnenAuf der Suche nach passendem Equipment machte sich schnell Ernüchterung breit denn der Preis für ein solches Equipment war mir dann doch viel zu hoch. Dann kam mir die Erleuchtung - hey mein Oneplus 9 Pro kann das doch schon alles! Also suchte ich nach einer passenden Hülle und fand diese hier von Divevolk und die eines anderen namenhaften Herstellers. Ich entschied mich für die Divevolk weil nur diese die komplette Bedienung via Touchpad zulässt und ich somit keinerlei Probleme beim Wechsel der Objektive, Filter und sonstigen Einstellungen erwartete.Ich war zugegeben etwas nervös vor dem ersten Tauchgang - immerhin war mein Handy nicht günstig -aber meine Bedenken waren unbegründet. Alles funktionierte tadellos und das Handy blieb trocken. Auch die äußere Form ist gut gestaltet und es liegt jederzeit gut in der Hand.Ich habe inzwischen 10 Tauchgänge im Salzwasser damit absolviert die bis zu 20 m tief gingen. Wie bei jedem Equipment üblich habe ich es natürlich nach den Tauchgängen mit Süßwasser gereinigt.Die Touchpad Eingabe funktionierte bei allen Tiefen tadelos, es gab keine unbeabsichtigten Fehleingaben o.ä.. Die Metallschrauben zum schließen des Gehäuses haben keinerlei Rost angesetzt und auch sonst gibt es bis jetzt keinerlei Ermüdigungserscheinungen (siehe Fotos). Ich konnte Unterwasser frei zwischen den Objektiven wechseln, HDR Mode aktivieren, Blitzlicht einschalten, Foto/Video umschalten - kurz: Ich konnte meine Handy wie gewöhnlich steuern und alle Modi nutzen. Einzig die Zurücktaste nah am Rand war etwas fummelig zu erreichen was aber wohl eher der Größe und des Designs meines Handys geschuldet ist - funktioniert hat es dennoch. Es ist auf jeden Fall ratsam die Angaben zur Einstellung des Handys vom Hersteller zu beachten. Ich selbst habe die automatische Displayabschaltung auf die maximal zulässige Zeit von 30 min gestellt und das Handy dann aktiviert in der Hülle verschlossen. Die Methode hat für mich tadellos funktioniert.Was gäbe es also zu bemängeln? Eigentlich nichts. Was man halt bedenken muss ist, dass man ohne die Erweiterungsklemme, die separat erworben werden muss, die Hülle nicht auf einer Halterung mit Videoleuchte oder ähnlichem befestigen kann. Es wäre natürlich schön wenn ein Stativgewinde direkt integriert wäre. Ich selbst habe mir mittels 3D Druck eine Halterung mit GoPro Mount gemacht und mir so beholfen. Trotzdem überlege ich noch die originale Erweiterungsklemme zu kaufen.Der Kontakt mit dem Divevolk Team war stets schnell, freundlich und lösungsorientiert. Ein passendes Inlay für mein Oneplus Handy wurde mir schnell und ohne Zusatzkosten zugeschickt. Die kleine Schutzhülle wurde zunächst vergessen mitzuschicken aber auch diese habe ich auf Nachfrage sofort nachgeliefert bekommen.Ich freue mich schon auf die nächsten Tauchgänge!

If you travel often, or do anything in the water I recommend this case! It was packaged so well & securely for travel, it has multiple phone holding inserts (if you are someone who changes phones regularly or more than one phone uses). And was so secure. I was shopping for water proof phone cases it landed on this one from YouTube and Amazon reviews - due to the fact that it can be used for many sizes of phones). I got so many great photos - and the case does not impact photo quality at all (the case is on for the picture on the beach of the pigs and everything is still crisp and clean!). I took so many great underwater videos too; sound seemed clear but obviously a little muffled when underwater). Not a drop of water came into it during my whole week of adventures. This case is a little more expensive but if you look at it as an investment I would definitely order this over some of the cheaper cases with mixed reviews.

Es una maravilla de housing! Sumamente práctico, seguro y sencillo de usar! Vamos por partes:La calidad de las fotografías depende de tu habilidad y la calidad de la cámara de tu teléfono y éstas han mejorado muchísimo! Sin llegar a niveles de una cámara profesional, para la gran mayoría de los buzos, es más que suficiente. La comodidad del housing divevolk por su tamaño y la facilidad para usarlo, es verdaderamente una maravilla.La principal ventaja del housing divevolk es su membrana touch que te permite usar tu teléfono sin necesidad de interfaces que pudieran limitar la capacidad del mismo, eso es: puedes hacer con tu teléfono absolutamente todo lo que que tú modelo te permita hacer en superficie! Yo aún estoy experimentando si tomar fotos en raw o ya procesadas, si en modo Pro fijando la velocidad de obturador o dejando que la cámara decida, en todos los casos, la curva de aprendizaje es corta porque es el teléfono/cámara que uso cotidianamente!El saber que puedo cambiar de celular y con solo mandar imprimir en 3D el nuevo adaptador, puedo seguir usando el housing, es otra gran ventaja!Por otro lado, la membrana touch funciona muy bien pero no es como si no pusieras nada frente a tu pantalla, imagina que le colocas una protección a tu pantalla extra gruesa, es normal esperar que la sensibilidad baje, es casi imposible activar el teléfono con la huella dactilar. En lo personal inicié cambiando a patrón y funciona bien pero lo más sencillo fue desbloquear con un nip. Con la membrana, el pulsar es muy fácil y el desplazar no tanto (sobre todo desde los bordes), eso se acentúa ligeramente a profundidad. Considerando que es más fácil pulsar que desplazar, hay que reconfigurar y reacostumbtarse a usar alguna formas del teléfono como el desbloqueo, activar la cámara, desactivarla o apagar la pantalla. Nada muy dramático y eso facilita el uso bajo el agua.Finalmente, yo hoy uso un celular de gama media, pero con este housing y por mi pasión por el buceo, empiezo a considerar mi futuro celular en función de la cámara!Se me pasaba! Es fundamental que incluyan el adaptador/soporte para el filtro, los que han tomado fotografía subacuática, sabran por qué, el mismo soporte se puede usar para una luz externa o para fijar el housing en una charola. También recomiendo mucho adquirir su caja para proteger el housing.Buceen seguros!
