Question 1

Will the 30awg withstand 3 amps?

Accepted Answer

30 awg is rated at about 0.5 amps
20 awg is rated at about 5 amps
24 awg is rated at about 2 amps

So the answer to your question is No.

Question 2

What guage is better for a small 12 volt belge pump, 16 or 14 awg?

Accepted Answer

The larger wire (smaller gauge number) is always "better" in the sense that you'll get less voltage drop and heat loss due to resistance, particularly with longer wire runs. But larger wire costs more and are bulkier and stiffer to work with, so if those are concerns you need to determine what is the smallest wire that is safe and effective. First, you need to check how many amps your pump uses, and how far from the battery it is. For a small pump, say 3 amps, and a short wire run (~10 feet), 16 gauge would be okay. For longer runs and bigger motors, consult the many charts online for what will work for you.

Question 3

Do you have this product in 25 foot?

Accepted Answer

yes, we have 5 sizes of 14 AWG product:3FT/5FT/10FT/25FT/50FT. You can choose the right size.

Question 4

What's the amp/current rating for the 26AWG?

Accepted Answer

I guess the question is a bit unclear, it really bears questioning what your intended purpose is. 24awg is the largest gauge 26 in the middle and 28 being the thinnest. Generally these wires are used for running circuitry of some sort. Think of the wiring harness on your car or wiring the bed lights on your truck. Or for example wiring cat5 or 6 or even wiring up telephone lines. Whilst these individual wires would be unnecessary for those things as there are specifically designed cables for those purposes these are good examples of what this wiring is intended for. I think if you’re concerned about amp/current ratings it sounds like you may prefer larger gauge wire or cable. And like I said as far as AWG is concerned 24 is the thickest thus allowing for the greatest amp/current to pass. If you’re wiring subs on the other hand or speakers go with 16 gauge at a minimum.
