Fast and eficient
This little HP LaserJet M110w has been a revelation in my house. It replaced my old Epson inkjet, and the difference is night and day. Where the inkjet constantly needed head cleaning, new cartridges, or coaxing back to life after sitting idle, this laser printer just wakes up and prints — every single time.Setup was quick, and once it was on Wi‑Fi, everything in the house could print to it without fuss. The HP Smart app makes the whole process simple, and the printer responds almost instantly when you send a job. The first page comes out fast, and the text quality is crisp and clean, exactly what you want for everyday documents. What I appreciate most is how quiet and compact it is. It doesn’t dominate the desk, and it doesn’t sound like it’s about to take off when printing. Even after replacing an inkjet, the running costs are far lower — toner lasts ages, and there’s no drying out or clogged nozzles to worry about. The paper tray is small, but for home use it’s perfectly fine. The whole thing is light enough to move around if needed, and it feels like a printer designed for people who just want something reliable without the usual inkjet drama.Switching from the Epson to this HP has genuinely made printing stress‑free again. It’s fast, dependable, and produces professional‑looking pages without any of the maintenance headaches. For a simple black‑and‑white home printer, it’s been a brilliant upgrade.

Fast, reliable, decent print quality in a compact size.
I hate printers. everyone hates printers. Somehow, this one manages to be not completely terrible (and it's also really cheap!). Less than 5 mins after taking it out of the box it was printing, which is a refreshing surprise. So, good things first; easy to use, print quality is decent, time to first page is about 8-9s which you're not going to beat at this price point. Build quality seems pretty decent (albeit it's a lot lighter and flimsier than you might expect from something that carries the LaserJet brand) - it doesn't have a traditional paper tray, and it will only hold about 100 sheets or so, so not great if you're printing high volumes (neither is the small toner cartridge I guess) but if you just need to occasionally print the odd letter, ticket, booking confirmation, shipping label etc this is absolutely perfect.Negative points; everything is managed via the app, there's no display or any sort of status indication other than a cryptic flashing LED. the input/output 'trays' are flimsy bits of plastic that serve to support the paper a little on its way in or out of the printer, the paper guides aren't that stiff either and seem to adjust by themselves so it's quite easy to end up with a few pages printed squint and misaligned. Areas of solid colour (well, solid black) show noticeable banding as is common with cheaper laser printers but you're not going to be using this for mono photography(!)

Quick to set-up, fast and portable (⚠️ no duplex printer however)
Easy to set-up with the iOS app. I am used to HP printers so it was super straight forward and worked first time.Printer is small and can be stashed away quickly if not being used - Ideal when you are working from home without a permanent office. I can recommend but be warned - it DOES NOT support Duplex printing as stated at this time on the Amazon page. I should have checked with the HP site before purchasing. I was slightly disappointed about this but for the price and size, I will be keeping it.

unable to get it to print
I tried for well over an hour, maybe as much as two hours, to get this set up. I am an IT engineer with a DrayTek security router with the latest standards, the printer evidently does not support WPA3 networks at all but I could not get it to work with my WPA2 network either, I would go through the incredibly slow, tedious setup process that would show spinners/loading screens for several minutes while basically doing nothing and then it would say at the end that it failed to set up the printer. This is with the Android and the PC app, I tried both. In the Android app I saw a message that said that you couldn't print without an HP account anyway, so even if I had managed to get the printer working, I would not have been able to print without giving my personal information to HP. Which is unacceptable. A printer that needs an account to print is not fit for purpose.I was really looking forward to seeing the printed output from this machine, its small, obviously built down to a price, feels slightly hollow but otherwise sturdy, looks fairly nice on a desk, it might have even had a nice print quality, I'll never know.Just put a wired connection on a printer. Selling a printer with no wired connection option is like selling junk.I segregate my wifi into numerous separate LANs for security and a device like this is useless in that situation. I temporarily joined some of those networks together to attempt to get the printer working and it still would not work. Even when the PC and Phone and printer are on one network, I still wasn't able to get it to work.Having to play around with the network settings also caused me to lose internet access to my devices for a period of time. Very very frustrating, Installing a printer should take about 2 minutes, not hours.I know this is the budget model but I'm put off buying a HP anything again. Junk.

A great little printer, perfect for letters
I've been struggling with printers my whole life. I've even dropped a few from a great height in frustration. This one just works. It was an easy setup, and my computer is yet to Not find it, so every time I want to print a letter, it is simply there. It's small and compact. The only downside is that it's black and white, but these days that doesn't seem to matter. Definitely my best printer purchase so far

Download the HP SMART app BEFORE stressing "it's not printing or connecting"
I've been looking for a replacement for my (excellent) Epso WF-4820MF printer and had always wanted a LaserJet BUT the cost was too much (mainly toner) insaw this on offer and snapped it up straight away. After reading comments "won't print" or "can't install" inwasna little apprehensive BUT as a self proclaimed I.T professional-amateur I chosen the RIGHT app "HP" or "HP Smart" on either the Play or iOS store. Once you've got the correct app it's actually straightforward to setup and EASIER than the previous Epson WF4820 I had been using.Printed a test page as recommended by the app (standard settings) and WOW!!!! I knew it would be quick but WHOAAA that WAS QUICK!! and the quality is spot on for what I'm needing (documents)I like the toner level on the app and think I'll reduce the quality (of possible) just to squeeze out more pages as I foresee HP toners are gonna be pricey - I've been down the "compatible" road before and it's just not worth it so HP all the way and will also check if they expire if unopened cos if not, I'll buy another if/when on offer next.DEFINITELY worth getting

Brilliant compact printer
What an amazing printer. I nearly didn't get it due to the negative reviews but don't listen to them. It works and connecting works a treat just scan the QR code in the manual and follow the apps instructions. The test print was great too and it's so easy to use not having to feed the paper like an inknet. It's more environmental friendly as the ink lasts longer. It works well and comes with a toner ALREADY installed. I did buy a spare one so covered for a long time. It's super compact but works very well and would suit every home or office. I am super happy as I was tired of my old Canon printer and the connection issues I had. HP has me starting a new printing journey and I like it.

Wirelessly? Forget that mate. Buy an Ethernet cable.
Lovely printer but forget ANY chance of 1) getting the HP app to 'find' the printer {it was next to my phone} and 2) getting the HP app to find my Internet box {it was next to the router}. I'm 54 and getting really bored with companies that don't make these things work. So bored. They are all the same. Don't get me started on Epson ..oh brother..Solution: spent another fiver on an Ethernet cable. It's so much easier.
