RESCUE! Japanese Beetle Trap – Reusable Bag - 2 Traps

***Edit July 2, 2026: It’s now 1 year later and the same 2 bags and lures from last year (which just sat out in the shed/garage all fall/winter/spring) have once again caught HUNDREDS of beetles! I am blown away! We NEVER got results like this from the other brand. Situation tonight: We noticed the beetles getting bad tonight. It seems they just hatched and allllll started coming out tonight. We noticed them flying in droves towards and around the shed/garage door in particular, which we thought was odd. At first, we didn’t realize why, but as soon as we opened the shed/garage door, we could see they were flying right for the traps and we realized the lures must still be active and working! We quickly set the bags up in the yard on their shepherds hooks and within 10 minutes, we had literally hundreds in them again. Incredible! These are SO worth it. 10/10. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. 100% recommend. However you want to say it. Just buy them! Why did you pick this product vs others?: Holy cow!! We have been battling beetles every summer for years, and for the past three years or so, we have bought the Spectracide beetle-in-a-bag setups. This was my first time trying this brand, or any other brand for that matter. And let me tell you - the other brands do not even hold a candle to this one! Within minutes, we had HUNDREDS of beetles from setting up just ONE of the two bags. I’m not even joking! Side note/pro tip - do not do what I did! Make sure that you open and set it up a little bit away from your deck or door! I had never ever had results like that before so, silly me, I stood right outside my door on my deck and started to setup one of the bags, intending to get it situated and then carry it out back into the yard to hang on one of our existing shepherds hooks that we use for them. Well, within seconds of opening the lure up - no joke - I was being swarmed with beetles! It was insane. I actually ran away with the bag at first, not realizing what was happening as that had NEVER happened before. Once I realized it was the lure/bag, I put it down and ran inside to get my significant other for moral support, haha. We were blown away by how effective and quickly they started to work! He hung it up, we killed probably a hundred beetles by hand, and within 20 minutes we had hundreds more in the trap and they just keep coming! The attached photo was taken 20 minutes after opening and setting up the bag. And the video was taken almost exactly 24 hours after opening the set up to hang one bag (EDIT: for some reason, it won’t upload my video and keeps failing)! I will never, ever buy a different brand again! If you are battling beetles (Japanese, garden beetles, the copper colored ones, the brown speckled ones - ANY beetles) - I’m telling you - give these a try! I am SO impressed! Would give 10 stars if I could.

I normally don't review things right away, but holy cow... I opened the plastic package holding the attractant and the scene was instantly biblical. I had to run to the middle of my hard and put down the trap and my ENTIRE YARD was awoken. They were slamming into my deck door, patio door, they were going nuts and funneling into the trap within seconds. My roses, basil, corn, and the rest of my vegetables are going to be very happy Super easy to put together and I may edit in time to see how long it lasts, but as of now, in beyond pleased to get these insane beetles out of the yard. Honestly didn't think they'd stay in the trap or even fly in there but they just smack the green and fall in, or congregate and fall in naturally.

Oh my goodness. Whoever invented this is a genius. We love our hibiscus and they were being destroyed by Japanese beetles. So I went to Amazon to look for help. So glad I did. Put the trap out last night. Today it’s already filling up. The other patch was still loaded so put the second trap out this afternoon and it’s already started working. Our hibiscus will survive these nasty little beetles. If you need to get rid of beetles, this product is for you!!

WORKS GREAT Just be sure to place them far away from your flowers/plants ! Worth it since it reusable .

I bought these last summer and forgot about them. This summer the Japanese beetles were so bad. They were killing a couple of our plants. We tried insecticide on the plants and it didn't even seem to help. Then I remembered these traps and put them out. They caught a crazy amount of beetles. I'm pretty sure they saved my plants, I've had to empty the bags within a month because they got completely full of beetles. I'd give these traps all the stars. And they smell good, like citronella or something.

At first I was disappointed. I hung it away from the garden, up about 4 feet like instructed. Overnight, I only caught 2 beetles. I placed both traps lower and closer to the garden. Within 2 hours, I had at least a dozen beetles in each trap! I thought the size of the bag was a joke, but now I understand! I can't wait to see the overnight results!

This works and will fill up fast if you have a lot of beetles. This bag was full within days and is very easy to set up. It has been emptied once but I do believe after the second use it will have to be thrown away. Would buy again for sure.

Horrifyingly, it started working the moment I stepped outside with it lol which meant I had to walk to and affix it where I wanted it with a plague following me. Still working a month later. 0/10 experience. 10/10 product.
