The ones I got are flat on the end, not rounded as shown, -1 star. The bonus; the green and blue have glitter in them, +1 star! Overall, they do their job. I don't see how they can come off of a standard pencil. You can see where they narrow inside to grip the pencil. In fact you can jam them on so tightly that they're hard to pull off. They add about 12 mm or 1/2 inch to the overall length when on a sharpened pencil. I cut a little bit off of the closed end of some of them to shorten them to fit in my case. That leaves the end completely open but it still extends past the point so it's still protected.

These caps are a perfect fit on my graphite pencils, even when the pencil has a long piece of lead exposed from sharpening with a knife. I wish they fit as easily on my watercolor pencils. I have a few of the Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer brand. The caps fit if I push them on forcefully and carefully. This crushes the wood a bit, but I hope it means the caps will stay on and keep my pencil bag clean. The caps are made from very sturdy plastic. I think they’ll last a long time.

Truly helps in writing when using a pencil as it helps balance the pencil out. Nice if you are a pencil biter when thinking also. Very pretty and clear. It fits well however some pencil's it does not fit.
