Before I get into my thoughts about this product I just want address 2 issues brought up frequently in other reviews. First is the ziplock seal not working. After looking at it for minute I noticed the powder was packed in the seal. Ran my thumbnail down the middle of the seal on both sides and seal works perfectly now. The other issue is clumps. I bought this product to add protein to my smoothies which includes quite a bit of fruit, some frozen. That said it only makes sense that I use a blender. Now when I add the powder the only thing it does is give my smoothie a thick, creamy consistency. With the issues addressed time to add my thoughts about this product. With what I normally use my smoothie has an amazing flavor profile and doesn’t need any help. This product doesn’t change the flavor at all which is great for me. It did however give it a thicker, creamier consistency which I consider a small improvement. I also noticed that the price per serving was cheaper than other similar products while also having more protein per serving! This product is just superior no matter how I look at it. Do yourself a favor and just start with this product.

Blends perfectly with a milk frother. I read some reviews that said they had trouble getting it to blend well. I have not had that issue. I add it to my chai tea lattes to get a little extra protein and easily mix it all up with my inexpensive, battery powered milk frother. One cup chilled chai tea, 1/2 cup whole milk, one teaspoon maple syrup, one teaspoon cacao powder, and one tablespoon of this protein powder. Serve over ice. Super quick to make. I can’t taste the protein powder at all. It doesn’t change the taste or texture of my latte.

This literally tastes like liquid play dough. Even smells like it. I mixed 1/4 cup of this soy protein with 1/2 cup water and it wastoo thick. So I added another 1/2 cup of water and shook it vigorously. It was a little better but still really thick. So I added one more 1/2 cup of water for a total of 1 1/2 cups of water to 1/4cup soy protein and finally got a good consistency. I added 3Tbsn cookies and cream flavoring and shook some more. It gets very foamy so I refrigerated it for a couple of hours and by that time the foam was gone and the taste was comparable to most other protein shakes. So from now on I am going to mix it in a blender the night before and refrigerate overnight. I feel that this is going to give me the best results. It just doesn't mix well in the shakers. The energy it provides is unbelievable. So much better than the whey protein.

Apparently the issues in prior years with the sodium and expiration dates have been resolved. I think you do get more bang for your buck with this product. I take it with a cup of Kefir and the 1/4 cup mixes fine with it and yes, a bit grainy but not a big deal to me. I take my morning supplements with this and mix it in my YETI Rambler 18 oz Bottle, Leakproof, Vacuum Insulated, Stainless Steel with Chug Cap shaking for a minute or so. NO CLUMPS!!! I'm a 69 year old female and need the extra protein with not a lot of calories so with my Kefir it's 220 calories every morning, PERFECT!

The price is pretty good for this product, but in the end it was a waste of money because I really don't want to try and use the whole product and get my money worth. I was previously using some cheap whey protein isolate, mixing it with 16oz of black coffee and a splash of almond milk. It would mix in easily, only slightly alter the flavor, and only make the drink a bit thicker. This soy protein isolate doesn't mix well at all. Putting a scoop into my travel mug, then pouring hot coffee on top, I stir and stir and stir, but even after several minutes, when I think it is all mixed in and stop, eventually clumps float to the surface. The experience of drinking it is rough. Though unflavored, it's flavor is so strong that it can make strong black coffee no longer taste anything like coffee. It also "mixes" to a thick, sludgy consistency, getting worse towards the bottom of the drink. Then, there is always some left in the bottom of the mug, stuck into the "corners", that won't even wash out. This stuff seems to almost repel water. It is hard to even get it to scrub out. It's messy stuff, even scooping it out it gets all over, and if it touches anything damp it sticks and doesn't want to wash off, just getting kind of slimy when you run it under water. I've always felt like supplements I've gotten from this company are pretty good, but this one was a big miss.

The flavor and texture of this product is vastly superior to others I’ve tried. I can’t say that it’s delicious, but it can be disguised in a smoothie with significantly less noticeable flavor or chalkiness than other brands.

The amount of sodium is higher than what is shown on the website. The website says 270 mg per serving, but mine says 330. Maybe not a huge difference, but this is the second time I've seen a discrepancy like this in this particular item. Not only that, Amazon will not allow returns of this item, information which does not seem to appear on the Amazon page. I've had this protein powder before, and it's actually not bad. Probably the best bang for the buck in terms of the amount of protein per dollar. The bag is resealable, but it doesn't close easily, so I transfer it to a different container.

I had given up on vegan protein powders since they always have a chalky texture like dirt in my smoothies. This protein powder mixes smoothie and creamy and I like that it thickens. It has no distinct flavor which gives me the option to add it to anything and flavor according to my cravings for the day. I found it hard to mix well without a blender but that’s no problem for me.

It comes advertised. Only thing is I notice, it tastes a little industrial...
