These Scholl insoles are a form of orthotic in their own right. If you already have custom orthotics prescribed by your footcare specialist then you would use those. If not, then you could use these Scholl insoles. But you would not use both together, only one or the other.

Would they fit a size 14/wide?

Yes they do! I wear a New Balance 623 Cross Trainer 14-4E! Slips right in and works great! Not trimming, NOTHING! Put the shoe pad in over the insert!
