I am indecisive about buying a product, whether $5 or $1500. Those who know me tend to tell me I'm "bougie." I personally just like to purchase the best quality products at the most effective price. While I do not feel the highest quality items come at the highest price tag, a few items are not worth skimping the money on. This product is one of them. That being said, I'm eternally grateful that I purchased this Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop. As the review headline states - I am very, genuinely impressed. Before trying the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, I tried the Shark Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Self-Empty XL. I have no complaints about that robot. I just instantly knew it was not the robot for me. After returning the Shark robovac at BestBuy, I ordered the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra on Amazon. It got here in less than two days. *INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:* It usually takes a lot to impress me. However, I was instantly impressed with the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra - including the box it came in. I'm not sure how to explain; however, the preciseness of the edges of the box not only satisfied my OCD nature but also let me subconsciously know that a lot of detail went into the design and packaging of the product. Even the anti-tamper box seal tape included irresistibly satisfying detail. When you peeled the anti-tamper seal tape, the Roborock logo magically appeared in a consistent, diagonal pattern across the sealing tape. Self = SOLD. Disassembling the shipping box was just as satisfying as it was a breeze. The smell of a new electronic is also very pleasing to me - that's what I got unboxing the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. Fitted styrofoam protected the entirety of the Roborock robot, docking station, and other parts and accessories that came in the box. *SET UP:* I usually dread setting up new complex devices due to needing to figure out how detailed the process will be. I was (yet again) pleasantly surprised with how simple the setup of the Roborock dock process was. The app was also straightforward to use for setup purposes. Most electronic phone applications can be wishy-washy. That was different from my initial impression of the Roborock app for iPhone. After just under one month of use, my opinion remains the same. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is essentially a plug-and-play style device. All I did was take the robot and dock out of the box, fill the clean water tank with filtered water, and have been using it with ease ever since. *AFTER ONE MONTH OF USE:* I'm still genuinely impressed every time I use this robot vacuum and mop. Usually, the lavender haze stage quickly wears off on me. With the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, Christmas is every day around here. I will never be able to clean my floors as well as this robot. It offended me (not really) as I am a true clean freak. It definitely showed me up. The cleaning power is simply outstanding. I love having clean floors every day if I want to. After emptying it for the first time, what really "told" me that this robot vacuum and mop was doing the "tough job" was how dirty the dirty water tank was. After about one week of daily use, I had first to empty the dirty water tank. I have three cats, and the vacuum filter has yet to signal to need to be replaced (I have auto emptying turned to "smart" in the Roborock app). I caution anyone to be aware that the dirty water tank can and will be a bit funky smelling due to the nature of the water - it's dirty water! The same thing goes for the auto wash station on the dock. I decided to use a gentle hypochlorous acid disinfectant spray to clean and disinfect the dirty water tank and the auto wash station on the dock as necessary to avoid any funky smells. The hypochlorous acid cleaner does the deodorizing OK. I have yet to use the OMO Robodock cleaner with the clean water tank. I like to keep things in my house on the natural side - so I'm on the fence about using a dash of the Roborock specially formulated OMO cleaner "here and there" in the clean water tank. The AI obstacle avoidance functions well. I noticed a day ago that the robot seemed to run over a white extension cord. While I did expect that not to happen, I blamed myself for leaving it on the ground while the robot was cleaning. I believe I was doing it for testing purposes. The robot does, however, avoid my iPhone charger and a black extension cord lying on the floor. *THE APP:* The app is relatively simple to use and is a well-designed app. I have not encountered any flaws within the app: no crashing, bugs, or delays. I am using the app on an iPhone. I like that I can tell the Roborock S7 robot which rooms I want to clean, how many times I want them cleaned, when to wash the mop, etc. I am not impressed with the matrix functioning of mapping the floor. I use the 2D and 3D versions of the map, although using either genuinely does not make a difference to me. I have not gotten the chance to really explore all of the features of this Roborock robot or app. However, I am truly finding new features I was unaware of the more I dig around in the app and user settings. Hence, I am continuing to be impressed. I am a huge fan of how customizable the app makes the Roborock S7 experience feel. *WHAT I WAS NOT EXPECTING:* I was unsure about buying this Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra compared to the Narwal cleaning robot a couple of months ago. I was hesitant to buy the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra because I did not realize sooner that the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra DOES clean its mop. Suppose I had known that sooner, and I would have it ordered sooner. I am glad I eventually discovered that it does wash its mop. Otherwise, I would have never ordered it. I also did not expect the Roborock S7 to have an LED flashlight to help it see in dark/low-lit rooms. It does not drain the battery life at all. I was also shocked to find out (as mentioned before) the funky smell of the dirty water tank and slightly from the auto wash station. You must get down close to the auto wash station to smell it. Still, I'm not too fond of that. However, this issue is easily fixable with a bit of cleaning power and maintenance. Lastly, I was not expecting the dock to not come with a dryer module. I was annoyed, although impressed that this is a separate module for purchase that does seem reasonably priced. So, there's that. *LAST COMMENTS:* There are too many pros to this Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra for the cons even to become considerably noticeable. The high price tag initially threw me off. However, after one month of usage, the price is unshakeably justifiable. The cleaning power is phenomenal (for lack of a more satisfactory description). This robot vacuum gets five stars and an A+ in my book. I advise anyone I know (and don't know) to try it out. I can't sing my praises enough or loud enough. I am genuinely happy that I purchased this Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. I understand the S8 has recently announced for launch to come out for purchase. While I'm sure the S8 will impress others, I can not be happier with this one (S7 MaxV Ultra). The S7 and S8 features are not all that different and warrant the purchase of the newer version (in my opinion). There, this thing is the icing on the cake. Very happy customer!

The technology and features of the Saros 20 finally bring everything I need to keep my house clean with minimal effort. Compared to other robot vacuums I have had, it was easy to set up and started cleaning right away. I have had robot mops that did a good job in the past, but the Saros 20 has some features that really make a difference. First, the water used to clean the mop gets hotter, so it is more sanitary and the mop heads do not start to smell bad. Also, the mop will reach closer to the wall which finally cleans all of the floor instead of needing to go back and do manual mopping. Also, the mop pads are higher quality and I noticed a cleaner floor after the first mopping. The vacuum is also clearly better than anything else I have tried. The suction picked up more dirt and I notice the carpets are cleaner. I didn't need to program or set up anything. The Saros 20 detects the carpets and tiles. It automatically drops the mop pads off when it goes to vacuum, so there is no dragging the mop over the carpoet and it is able to stay close to the carpet to clean even better. The navigation is also a big upgrade. The best vacuums I have tried before had rotating lidar on the top. But that made the robot taller and sometimes would fail or need to be cleaned. The Saros 20 has the navigation on the front and sides, so the robot is much shorter, closer to the ground, than others. The new imaging technology is also great at seeing obstacles and understanding where it is going. It does not bump into anything and even knows how to climb over small objects. Amazing! It knows how tall it is and sees the height of furniture. It does not get stuck under things or go places it cannot get out of. The mapping was fast and made a better picture of what the house layout is. I have not used the furniture or curtain features, but it will even keep track of where the furniture is. It even takes pictures of my dog if I ask it to. Fun! I was also impressed with how fast it finished cleaning. It spends less time figuring out where to go and just gets the job done. It doesn't waste time re-cleaning areas, backtracking, or trying to free itself from tight spots. It moves from room to room, finishing entire floor faster than my previous robots. It is also quieter than anything else I've seen. The combination of stronger suction, deep mopping, and fast, intelligent navigation makes this a pleasant, frustration-free cleaning experience. I don't think anyone should hesitate. This is how robot vacuums are meant to be.

I bought two S7 MaxV Ultras; one for upstairs and one for downstairs. I was skeptical of the robots and had low expectations. Boy was I wrong! I have hardwood floors and bought the robots because I have two cats; I wanted to vacuum all the fur they shed and all the cat litter they track. The cat litter I use is granular, with each granule about the size of a grain of sand. I didn't think that a robot vacuum would be able to suck up this sort of debris. To my surprise, the S7 MaxV Ultras were easily able to vacuum the cat litter as well as other debris on the floor. And the robots were great at mopping too - they cleaned all the accumulated dust/dirt off my floors. I also purchased two mop driers for the Ultras and they work perfectly. Pros: * Powerful suction while vacuuming, able to pick up cat litter. * Mopping worked flawlessly, cleaning all the accumulated dirt from my floors. * Nice app. Using the app I was able to update firmware, configure cleaning options, control whether or not I wanted the camera to be available online (I wanted this feature enabled), and define a no-go zone (I didn't want the robot to clean underneath a reclining chair I have because I put double-sided tape under the chair to deter my cats from this area. Cons: * Not able to completely vacuum/mop all areas of my condo. Some areas are simply too confined for the robot to fit into. Obviously these areas aren't going to be cleaned - under drapes, areas boxed in by furniture, stairs, etc. This isn't a flaw of the S7 MaxV Ultra per se - it applies to all robot cleaners. If the robot can't fit into an area, it won't be cleaned. * Terrible user manual. After reading the user manual I still had no idea how to use the robot. * App a bit unintuitive. After installing the app, I wasn't sure how to proceed. I ended up trying each menu option to see what it did and was able to figure it out after a while. For the most part the app is good, but improvements could be made. For example, when renaming a map, the application hung. After restarting the app, the map was renamed and all was well - but why did it hang? Another example - you can rename your robots using the app, but doing so isn't obvious at all. I eventually found the rename functionality hidden under one of the menu options - going from memory maybe it was under "Product Features" or somesuch. * Roborock cleaning fluid contains oil which is toxic to cats. I was going to purchase their cleaning fluid but fortunately I read the negative reviews of this product. Not only is their fluid toxic to cats - it apparently causes mold/slime to grow. I'm using pure tap water to mop, and this is working out perfectly. * No app for PC/Mac. The app used to control the robot is for iPhone/Andriod. This is OK, but it would have been even better if an app were available for your PC/Mac so that you can control/monitor cleaning while working on you PC/Mac, even if your phone is being recharged. I'm giving the S7 MaxV Ultra Robot Vacuum 5 stars because I'm extremely happy with the robot. Even so, improvements could be made.

I never post reviews, but tonight, I feel absolutely compelled to share my story. I have been over the moon with how great this machine is. Great vacuum, great mop, really clean floors! It does everything so great! Except one MAJOR thing that it doesn't do...although the manufacturer claims it does: it will NOT avoid dog poop. With all of this technology onboard, if your dog messes in the house--and the vacuum runs before you find the land mine--you are in for a huge mess! The BIGGEST selling point of this machine for my family was that it would be great to keep the house clean having three dogs. And that is so true. It's been great! But, our oldest dog (we have three) has become incontinent in her old age, so we have accidents from time to time. If you read the description of the machine, one of the biggest selling points is object detection. And, while the object detection is mostly really good...it only takes one horrible accident to become an incredibly bad situation. The manufacturer, I'm sure, will try to claim that the size of my dog's poop was probably too small to be detected. And I'm sorry, but I STRONGLY disagree! I believe they claim the object detection is supposed to be an inch tall and two inches wide (minimum for detection). I wish I took a picture of the mess...but I CANNOT explain how majorly mad I was. I'm only NOW writing this after cooling off. In hindsight, I KNEW we might have an issue when I noticed, one night, that the vacuum was bumping into the dog's bones and toys. These bones are about 2 inches in diameter, and easily 4/5 inches long. That is ABSOLUTELY big enough for this machine and all of its sensors and tech to recognize...and yet, I watched this machine just bump and push the bone around like it wasn't even there. The dogs also have a round ring chew toy that sits about 1 1/2 inches tall and a good 6/7 inches in diameter. With this toy, the machine just drove over the top of it. According to another reviewer on here that had a similar issue, he mentioned that the manufacturer documentation states that liquids or dog waste will void your warranty. I will be researching that asap! I find it VERY hard to believe that the exact situation that they claim will NOT happen will actually void your warranty if/when it does. At any rate, the wife is upset because the smell of poop is now everywhere in the house. Oh! Did I mention that tonight's event wasn't the FIRST time...but rather the second??? The first time--thank God!--I discovered just after the machine ran through the waste. The machine was covered along the side with the rotating brush, and it was packed in all down that side. Thankfully, it didn't spread it all over the carpet. I got to it soon enough. Tonight though? sigh....not as lucky. Tonight, the machine went into the mess, then proceeded to vacuum over our area rug in the living room. The mess and smell will require a LOT of cleaning to take care of it. Again, I have LOVED this machine since I bought it--almost two months ago now--and the promise of having a cleaning machine to keep the floors cleaned of paws prints, drool, pet hair, dander, dust, etc was just phenomenal. But folks...if you have a dog, and you think this will help solve your problem, BE VERY CAREFUL!!! It could create a nightmare if you aren't careful. You've been warned. Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice?? Shame on me.

I've had this a few weeks and thought I would finally add my thoughts. This is a marvel on solid floors. It vacuums pretty well and mops impressively. It avoids the majority of obstacles to include cords. It placed furniture on it's map, obeys the invisible walls, the no-go zone is less sensitive as is the pet avoidance ( literally bumped into my dog and kept pushing with avoidance on high and the pet setting on). This thing goes under most everything and figures out how to reach nearly everywhere. When there's an issue it pinpoint on thw map and is quite accurate. My biggest issue is on carpet this is terrible...can tell it picks up some but not even half, on hardwood it can't pick up kibble even though this allegedly has the strongest suction of the line.....if you have the spare money or have solid floors and no carpet it's worth buying; however with lots of carpet not worth it....

Let me start off by saying that we have three Siberian Huskies in this house. That is a LOT of fur. We've had a couple of iRobot Roombas over the years, and they helped cut down the amount of time I spent sweeping up fur by a fair amount, but I had grown weary of the issues with them. Firstly, how randomly they wander around the house, the slamming into my furniture (especially chair legs), how freaking' LOUD the thing was when running, what a huge PITA it is to clean fur out of the rollers, etc. I also have problems with my hands that make mopping rather painful. Challenging for someone who has a bit of a "floor thing". I knew there were more advanced robots out there that could do a better job than trusty old Frackin' Toaster (Roomba's name, obvs) and come with more features. When this robot went on sale for Cyber Monday, I went for it. The reviews (here on Amazon as well as other review platforms and articles) were almost universally 5-stars positive, and it seemed to include pretty much everything I wanted in an upgrade. Holy moly y'all, best grand I've spent in a long time. I've had this guy running for almost a month now (because you know I launched him as soon as he was set up), and here are my findings. Pros: Quiet!: SO MUCH QUIETER THAN ROOMBA. I can watch TV if I wanted to with this guy running. People on the other end of my conference calls during the day don't hear it, even if don't have my noise cancelling headphones on. Smart pathing: When I fired it up to do its discovery run, I was amazed at how quickly it performed its initial room discovery. No vacuum running or anything, it just cruised around using LiDAR and other sensors and mapped the heck out of my first floor. On its first full cleaning run, it tightened up its mapping and identified furniture and other items. When it cleans, it performs an outline cleaning of the room and the furniture in it, then cleans the rest of the floors in an efficient and effective pattern. Freakin' awesome. Definitely smarter than a Valheim Troll, unlike my previous Cylons...erm, floor robots. Object detection: With the camera, LiDAR, and other sensors this guy has, it does a fantastic job of object detection. No more damage to my furniture from repeatedly slamming into legs etc. It will make a guess at what it's run into if it runs into something on the floor. Fabric, shoes, cords, whatever it comes across that is 'unexpected'. Funny story - my husband's Chewbacca head slippers were identified as "pet waste" (I assume due to being brown, and about the size and shape of a pile of big dog poo if viewed from ground level head-on) but that's the only oddball identification I've seen. Cleaning around furniture: Okay, this is fabulous. The Roombas are awful at navigating dining table and chairs, stools at the counter, etc. Would spend 30% of its battery life stuck under the chairs. Ser Toaster III rocks at it. Gets aaaaaaaaalll the husky glitter from under the table and without beating the snot out of my chair legs. Mopping: Look, I know I could probably do better on my hands and knees with a bucket, but pass. My entire first floor is ceramic tile and it now gets a nice sponge bath every day. They look and feel quite clean, my socks are clean, and judging by the water I'm dumping out of the tank, ST3 is definitely getting the job done. I love that it goes and cleans the mop frequently rather than dragging a dirty rag around the house. I also bought extra mop pads so I can change them out every other day or so and get them a thorough trip through the washer. Fur removal: Both in removing it from the floors and being able to remove it from the machine, I give it a 12/10. Despite my Husky pack's best efforts, there are no fluff drifts. I still have to bust out the Dyson on the weekly to get the cracks and crannies, but I could probably get away with less often if I was slightly less extra about the fur removal. But seriously? Whoever designed the roller was a frigging genius. Rather than fighting to unwrap the fur from the ends, the ends just twist off so you can slide the whole fur bundle right off. To whomever designed that roller: I love you. Seriously, I love you. Cleaning the unit: Another win here. The brush assembly that cleans the mop head has a little lever you can flip up to remove the brush and do any fuzz removal or give it a rinse. The filter that catches any debris (leaves, stray fur) lifts right out for cleaning as well. (Learn from my mistake, put a paper towel under it or you're gonna make a muddy mess on your way to the sink). The bin design is also very smart (both for water and for dirt) - super easy to empty and keep clean. Scheduling: I love being able to set different routines and schedules. I work from home, so being able to set the robot to go vacuum my office at 5:45am and subsequently ignore my office when it does its noon run is great. You can set quiet hours where it will do a job, but it will turn down its voice and not empty itself. The office run it does for me is after I've gone to the gym, but before my husband wakes up, so it returns quietly to its dock and doesn't empty itself until it goes to do its noon "daily maintenance" cleaning. This is important because when it does empty the dust bin, it is LOUD AF. But just for about 10 seconds or so. The app: I like that I can view where the robot is, how it cleaned, what the maintenance status is (it reminds me to clean the sensors, clean the filter, etc), any objects detected, etc. See cons for what I don't love. Cons: The app: The app is not particularly intuitive. The routines are in a completely different place than scheduling, for example. That's honestly my biggest beef. App needs a serious UX overhaul. Dust bin bag: This is a disposable vacuum bag. I wish the design didn't require a disposable and non-reusable bag. Carpet: I have a large rug in my office with a fairly low pile. After observing how it does on this carpet, I don't think I would recommend this unit to anyone with plushy carpeting. It uses a rubber roller rather than a brush, and I just don't think it would do a particularly amazing job of grooming the pile. Toaster (the disgraced Roomba) has moved upstairs (AKA No Dog's Land), and I think because of the double roller with an actual brush, it performs better on carpet with any kind of pile. If you just have area/throw rugs with a lower pile or berber type carpet, I think it'll do fine. Throw rugs: Speaking of throw rugs, mixed bag on those. I have a couple it will successfully navigate, but others (like my bathroom rugs) it wants to drag around. I know which ones it'll mess with now, so I pick them up. The ones it doesn't mess with, it really nicely lifts the mop up so you don't end up with a wet rug, then puts it back down once its off the rug. Final verdict: Ser Toaster III is a fantastic floor robot. It's not absolutely perfect, but nothing is. This gets close enough for me to say unreservedly that I would buy it again. If you can swing the cost on this unit (including the recurring cost on the bags and replaceable parts like the edge brush and such), it's totally worth it.

I owned a Roborock S5. I liked how it helped keep the hardwood, linoleum, and carpeted sections of my 1,500 sq. ft. home clean. After much research, some very informative YouTube videos, and my experience with the S5, I took the plunge and purchased the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus. This is a very long, but I hope, comprehensive review of my experiences with the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus with plenty of comparisons to the Roborock S5. PREPARATIONS Replacement Parts. The unit came with a replacement dust bag for the docking station, a nice touch, but I also purchased a Roborock 11-piece cleaning and parts replacement kit along with the vacuum from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09M7BLPN8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I'm completely ready to replace any of the cleaning parts as they wear out and as the app indicates during periodic maintenance reminders. Mopping Solution. With the S5's mopping attachment, the instructions were very clear that I could _not_ use any cleaning solutions because it could block the water outlets for the mopping pad. That did happen to me, and I ended up replacing the mop attachment. With the S7, we _can_ add a cleaning solution to the water, so I purchased the Roborock cleaning solution, too: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DK9FWB1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. SETUP Unboxing and assembling the Roborock S7 MaxV and its docking station was very easy and took about ten minutes. CONNECTING MY S7 THROUGH THE APP When I tried to add the S7 to the Android App, it didn't find the S7. I tried resetting the wireless settings on the S7, restarting my phone, and some other steps, all to no avail. Finally, I uninstalled the Roborock app, installed it again, logged in, and the App found the S7 and connected to it immediately. Twenty minutes passed from the time I unboxed the S7, assembled it, and connected it to the App (even with the difficulties above), and began my first run. MY FIRST RUN(S) I didn't wait for the S7 to fully charge before I started its first cleaning cycle and creating a brand new map of my home. Unfortunately, the S7 ran out of battery about 1/2 way through cleaning my home. Because of how it maps the house while creating its first map, I ended up making a total of three runs: 1/2 the house, most of the rest of the house, then the two bathrooms. The unit takes longer to charge than the S5, but that's understandable given that the suction on its highest setting is 2-1/2 times stronger than my S5, but I was impatient to see it run. When I purchase another unit for the finished basement, I'll wait for a 100% charge before the first run. APP CONTROLS Manual Buttons. For the S7, the manual controls to Clean and Dock seem to me to be reversed in the app. Since I don't have the S5 on my app anymore, I believe the controls were "Dock" on the left and "Clean" on the right. On the S7, the controls are "Clean" on the left and "Empty" on the right. Imagine my surprise when I thought I started a manual cleaning, but the vacuum never entered the room. What I had actually done was clean the dust bin(!), and I did that twice! Maps. The S7 offers a 2D and 3D view. The 3D view is really impressive, being able to turn the map, zoom in and out, and more. For me, 2D is plenty. After my first three runs when the entire house had been mapped, I entered the map editing mode, divided rooms, named the rooms, set the type of floor (wood, carpet, or default) in each room, placed carpets in the bathrooms, then added furniture, which is a very limited set of images for TV stand, shoe rack, couch, love seat, single seat, dining room set, round table, bed (size adjustable), and tables of various sizes and shapes. The most challenging part of the furniture setup was saving it with that minuscule "check mark" in the top right corner, because immediately below it is the "reset" button. I can't remember how many times I accidentally hit that stupid "reset" button before I figured out how to physically maneuver my phone so I was only pressing the check mark. All that said, the map editing feature is very impressive. It adds to the realism of the house in the 2D and 3D maps. Camera. I enabled the camera view and through the App, watched the S7's camera view of the house and floors as it cleaned. Cool, but I don't really need it. Room and Zone Cleaning. I didn't discover any difference in defining Room or Zone cleaning between the S5 and the S7. But there is a difference in the map setup: the S5 provided the ability to define a "room order" for cleaning, and I didn't see that in the S7's map. The room order allowed me to designate the rooms I wanted cleaned 1st, 2nd, etc, and even if I split the house for scheduled runs: the kitchen, at room order 1, was always cleaned first in the 3 AM scheduled run; my office, at room order 5, was always cleaned first in the 8 AM schedule. By setting an overall room order, I forced the most efficient room cleaning order to minimize S5 travel between rooms, which resulted in the least travel and the fastest cleaning. The S7 seems to clean the rooms closest to the docking station first. I'm not too bummed about losing the Room Order feature, but I'm a geek, and I miss it. There are some who used room order to group their carpeted areas from their non-carpeted areas. In the S7, that's not needed as the S7 "Autolifts" the mop on carpeted surfaces. ROUTINES FOR CLEANING For the S7, the App now offers routines to clean, for example, After Meals, which I assume means to clean the dining room and perhaps the kitchen. I haven't tried it, yet, because being alone, I don't usually eat in the dining room. The other option is Full Clean, which I haven't tried, either. I would only use this option if I was out and about and not present at home, so cleaning would be free of my presence and the mop would not be attached because the water tank would most certainly run dry long before finishing the house. SCHEDULED CLEANING I run the S7 twice daily: once in the living areas while I'm asleep - I schedule a 3 AM run of the breakfast room, the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, and the entry; the second run occurs while I'm awake and in the kitchen making coffee and breakfast - I schedule an 8 AM to clean the hallway, master bathroom, the master bedroom, the 1/2 bath, and two other bedrooms. The Roborock app works the same for the S7 as it does for the S5 in scheduling cleaning, so this was very easy to set up. VACUUMING The S7 has picked up more dust around the house than the S5. I can't tell that from the S7's dust bin, but I can tell by my feet because they don't have a slight grey film on them after walking barefoot all day. I also noticed that areas close to walls and other furniture have less dust under them and I attribute that to the S7's more powerful suction. I really like that when the S7 docks, the docking station automatically cleans out the dust bin. With the S5, because my house has such fine dust, I had habituated myself to cleaning the dust bin every other day, even though it wasn't that much dust, but it was very fine and could clog the filter in 3-4 days. When emptying the S5's dust bin, I also blew the dust out of the filter, emptied the dust bin, rinsed them both in water, waited for them to air dry, and then reinserted them into the S5 for another two-day's run. With the S7, the docking station does much of that for me: it empties the bin so I don't have to. Spot checks of the dust bin have revealed no left over dust, and after four days running without cleaning the bin, it appears like-new. I look forward to seeing how long it will take before the docking station bag fills and I must replace it. MOPPING The Water Tank. One of the primary reasons I wanted the S5, aside from vacuuming, was to mop the hard floors daily. In the S5, the mop and the water tank are in the same snap-on unit. It was easy to use, but not being able to use any cleaning solution meant using plain water to "mop" the floors. While the mop itself appeared dirty, the floors never felt very clean. In fact, they felt cleaner without the mop. Eventually, I stopped using the S5's mop feature. In the S7, the water tank is separate from the mop attachment, both are easy to remove and insert, and the tank is very easy to fill. I use the Roborock cleaning solution. Trust the instructions when it says, "1/3 cap" of solution to the tank. In my first run, I accidentally used 1/2 cap, and the floors felt sticky. On subsequent runs, I stuck to 1/3 cap, and the floors felt just fine. I've also noticed that the water tank is only good for about 1/2 of my my house: another reason for two scheduled cleanings. The first thing I do each morning is refill the water tank before its 8 AM run, and before I go to bed, I refill it for its 3 AM run. Since the tank is usually almost empty, I add about 1/4 cap of cleaning solution and then top off the tank with water. One last niggle. Instead of referring to 1/3 cap of solution, they should give the solution as US measurements, teaspoons, or metric, cubic centimeters (CCs). That would take the guess work out of the measurement and prevent adding too much cleaner. One feature I discovered almost by accident is that the S7 Autolifts the mop until it gets to its destined room for cleaning as well as its return to the docking station. Contrast this with the S5, which mopped the floor going to its destination, in its destination, and returning to the docking station. The Mop Attachment. In the S5, the mop attachment was part of the mop head and attached to the water tank. After each run, the mop appeared dirty, but the floor never really felt clean. In the S7, the mop attachment is similar to the S5, but there is a part of the mop that literally moves sideways and scrubs the floor. As a test of its cleaning ability, I had dirt stains on the floor that the S5 never completely removed. Not only did the S7 remove the dirt stains, I couldn't find where they were when it was done cleaning! Another thing about the S5's mop is that you can't have it attached when cleaning carpeting. When I ran the S5 for the bathrooms with their throw rugs, I ran them manually and removed the mop attachment to clean the bathrooms. The S7, with its Autolift feature, automatically raises the mop attachment when it detects rugs or carpeting. Finally, cleaning the mop attachment on the S5 required me to remove it from its base, wash it in soap and water, then replace it: I used it until it got dirty enough to throw into the washing machine. On the S7, I clean the mop while it's attached to its base. I use the "scrubbing" side of a 2-sided sponge with a tiny amount of soap to clean it. For the first few runs of my house, I cleaned the mop each time the tank required more water/solution, and the mop was filthy! It's now my fourth day and the mop is slightly discolored, but not dark grey/black like was during its initial runs. Mop Route. In the Mop "quick settings", there are two Mop Route options: Standard and Deep. The difference is that with the Deep option, the App states that the cleaning will perform a tighter "Z" shape when cleaning, and the suction power will be reduced one level So even though I want Max Suction Power, with the Deep Mop Route option, I only get "Turbo" suction power. I can attest to the tighter "Z" pattern because the trail lines in the map are much closer together than with Standard Mop route. PERFORMANCE Noise. The S7, on its maximum suction power, is louder than the S5, but in two short days, I've already gotten used to it. My wood floors, plastered walls and ceiling, and the room furniture do little to muffle the noise, but now that I'm accustomed to it, well, a vacuum makes noise, and the S7 is no exception. Another reason that I don't notice the noise as much is that I run the vacuum in rooms and times when I'm typically not there. Yesterday, I ran the S7 on the default settings of "Balanced" suction power and "Mild" scrubbing for the mop. I was amazed at how quiet the S7 ran! I didn't even have to adjust the volume of the TV while it ran in the living room! Objects Avoidance (Hitting stuff!). While I was impressed with the S5's ability to avoid most objects, its scanner failed to detect the legs of my office desk, some higher-standing tables' legs, dining room chair legs, and the like. Many times the S5 would strike a leg chair, hit it again, then again, and finally work its way around. One of the most impressive features of the S7 is that it hasn't struck anything! It correctly identified these during its its first pass and marked them on the map as obstacles. Speed. Since the S7 doesn't spend as much time avoiding obstacles like the S5, the vacuuming runs are actually faster: my unit finishes about 10 minutes faster on the 3 AM scheduled run and about 15 minutes faster on the 8 AM scheduled run. Wood Cleaning. I'm still shocked at how much dirt the wood floors accumulate each day based on how much dirt was in the S5's dust bin. With the S7, I cannot check the dust bin after docking because the docking station automatically empties the bin, but I assume that it cleans as well, and better, than the S5. I believe the wood floors are cleaner because my bare feet have next to no detectable dust on them after walking on the floors all day. Linoleum. The primary reason I wanted the mop attachment was for the kitchen and the breakfast room's linoleum floors. The S5 never really got them clean and the linoleum floors never felt as clean as the wood floors. I had hoped that the mop attachment would help, but lacking any cleaning solution, the S5 couldn't break down or clean up any fine airborne grease that would eventually fall to the floor. The S7, with the mopping attachment and the cleaning solution, have resolved that. Carpet. I so appreciate the thoughtfulness of the S7 in how it automatically recognizes carpets and floor rugs and Autolifts the mop. My biggest complaint with the S5 is that it had difficulty getting on top of my bathroom throw rugs. To be sure, the throw rugs in the bathrooms are large-fiber shag carpets, but the S5 routinely snagged on the edge of the carpet, bunching it up, and making it impossible to finish cleaning the carpet, much less the room. And when it cleaned the carpets, it left behind small amounts of lint, fiber, or other noticeable dirt, and the shag was never fully clean. I am so impressed with the S7. All the problems with the S5 are gone! My carpets are deep cleaned and spotless - I can't find any small particles in the carpeting anymore. WATCHING THE CLEANING IN THE APP. While in the Android App, I would watch how the S5 cleaned rooms, and I was sometimes quite surprised at the patterns the S5 would take to clean a room. Notably, on two of the rooms in my house, the logical cleaning pattern would have been to clean length-wise in three or four passes, but the S5 chose to clean it width-wise, taking 10-12 passes for the same area. Also, the S5 would sometimes divide a room in two, clean one half, then backtrack on itself, and clean the other half. Weird stuff, but the effect was that it took longer to clean. As I mentioned before, the S5 had trouble with object avoidance; for some reason, it never seemed to remember them as something to avoid the next time around. None of those problems carried to the S7 - none. It picks the logical (shortest) path to clean a room, remembers obstacles (and marks them on the map!), and avoids them in the future if it sees them. Also, the S7 cleans my house faster than the S5. Great job! COMPLAINTS The S7 has corrected the complaints I had about the S5 as I've noted above. In the YT videos I saw, the S7 had trouble picking up fine powders and sugar in the grouting of tiled floors. I don't have that flooring, so I can't speak to that. RECOMMENDATIONS 1. Charge the battery to 100% before first use so the S7 will correctly map the entire house in its first pass. 2. Consider using the MAX+ suction setting on the first run - the instructions within the app indicate that this was a prime reason to use it. 3. Don't use the mop for the first run. 4. When you get around to using the mop, use the Scrub Intensity of Intense and the Mop Route of Deep to get the best cleaning for the first few times going around the house. After that, you can dial back the Mop Route to Standard. 5. Create cleaning schedules to divide the house into areas so that it preserves the battery, minimizes refilling the water tank for mopping, and makes it easier for the S7 to clean. 6. Be sure the S7 runs enough times to create a complete map of the entire house before attempting to edit the map. 7. Edit the map, define the rooms, set the type of floor, and optionally, place furniture. 8. Enjoy the superb cleaning from the S7! SUMMARY The S7 MaxV Plus is a great tool to have in any house or apartment. I like it a lot more than the S5, that's for sure! But after I purchased the S7 MaxV Plus, Roborock announced the S7 MaxV Ultra, which adds one more fantastic feature to its new, updated docking station: it will also refill the water tank and clean the mop head(!). I couldn't find this on Amazon, but the App indicates it will be available in June or July. When it comes out, I will purchase it for the upstairs and move the Plus docking station to the finished basement. The only difference between the S7 MaxV Ultra and the Plus is the docking station - the vacuum is the same, so all the comments I've made above I believe would equally apply to the new docking station. In short, if you don't have the Roborock S7 MaxV, buy it! If auto-cleaning the dust bin appeals to you, then purchase the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus. If you want the fully automated dust bin cleaning, water tank refill, and mop head cleaning, get the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

I've been running the Roborock Saros 20 a lot for several days now and overall I'm quite pleased. Setup was easy and the initial mapping was extremely quick and picked up my floor plan accurately without much fuss. Something to note, the very first vacuum run after a quick map might appear a bit random or chaotic. Just let the robot run a few more times in each room and it gradually improves it’s navigation efficiency each run. The app is still the best one in the robot vacuum space in my opinion, at least among the ones I've used. Map editing, scheduling, and cleaning settings are laid out in a way that makes sense and are easy to find. A much appreciated feature coming from the Qrevo Curv is the quick option to vacuum then mop a room. I like the auto-detaching mop pads a lot. We have a furry dog so just lifting the pads isn’t always enough on carpet to avoid getting dog hair on them and leaving them at the dock keeps them cleaner. The slim height is probably the biggest surprise. It's getting under furniture in my house that no other robot vacuum I've owned has been able to reach. As for navigation, it's confident. It doesn't back off from tight spots or bounce off the walls, it tries to fit and usually manages it. I would much rather have the option to set no-go boundaries where the vacuum may have issues than have it skip over areas every time. It’s much easier to restrict a robot vacuum from going certain places than it is to force it to be less timid. Overall, solid mapping, a good app, and a design that actually handles the awkward parts of a house instead of avoiding them is a win in my book.

Acheté pour remplacer un x50 Ultra qui ne fonctionnait pas bien et qui a été renvoyé. Pour 500 euros de moins que notre précédent robot, celui-ci est clairement meilleur. Points forts : Il suit mieux les bords et nettoie mieux les angles. Il s'arrange pour maintenir la serpillière contre la plinthe quand il tourne. Il cartographie correctement et ne se perd pas dans notre salon, pièce qui posait d'énormes problèmes à notre précédent robot. Il est rapide car très bien organisé. Avec la même autonomie, il nettoie plus de surface. La serpillière est mieux lavée. La base reste propre. Les brosses en caoutchouc flottent les tapis et aspirent très bien. Niveau du bruit : Il est plus bruyant lorsqu'il travaille, mais cela reste raisonnable. Il fait un peu de bruit lors du séchage des serpillières. Dommage que la roulette omnidirectionnelle soit dur, car elle fait du bruit sur les joints de carrelage. Le nettoyage des serpillières est plus silencieux. La cartographie et la navigation sont impeccable. Petit point négatif : je n'ai pas trouvé dans l'application comment le forcer à aller dans les rideaux, donc il contourne. Dommage, car j'ai un tour de lit en tissu qu'il faut donc relever pour qui passe dessous. Question application, il est dommage que l'on ne puisse pas modifier l'ordre des pièces en les sélectionnant comme chez Dreame ou IRobot. Il faut redéfinir la séquence de nettoyage dans les paramètres du lavage. Ce qui se fait rapidement malgré tout. Très bon aspirateur qui vaut très largement un x50 pour beaucoup moins cher.

I love it, couldn't be happier. I have very long hair and loose plenty. I also have a dog that sheds all the time... No tangles in the brush, ni hair floating around the house... App is easy to use and allows plenty of tweaks to get right up to the edge of things... Vacuum bags are pricey, on my 3rd one in about 3 months, but like I said, between me, my dig, and cat, it makes sense. Floor washing solution is also pricey, but it seems to work well. We'll see what I'm saying after a year.

Soddisfatti, se si hanno animali in casa e si vuole avere il pavimento sempre pulito senza troppa fatica è fantastico, io ho 3tipi di pavimento diversi e su tutti fa un buon lavoro, tappeti compresi, in questo modo ora passo il pavimento con il mocio solo 1 volta ogni tanto per disinfettare, veramente fantastico! Punti negativi (pochi a mio avviso) -non passa in mezzo alle sedie, quindi solitamente ne alzo almeno due, -quando gli si da il comando vocale “roky pulisci qui” a volte non ti trova e non pulisce precisamente il punti, ma la prende larga, -Alcuni tappetini li sposta completamente (tipo quelli della camera da letto, o bagno) Queste sono le uniche cose che mi sento di dire, per il resto tutto perfetto!!!
